  1. Yup. It was Bio's classic "ancient race who built everything and the hot chick goes evil" schtick that they used in KoTOR too. Only having a single other soul to chat with was also a huge letdown but I still enjoyed NWN very much. ..but, I really liked Arcanum too. Does that make me a strange person?
  2. I just want to way that Im very happy to have found a copy on a crappy swedish auction site for a sum comparing to 5 dollah. Mind you, I have tried downloading it since its abandonware now, but noone seems to have ISOs of 5 year old games on their servers so I had to pay up. Now Ive actually never played this game(due to bad marketing I think, Id never heard of it until a year ago) but Im told its grand for those who like elaborate stories & roleplaying? True?
  3. lieks: 1. C0mmunism, 2. being nekkid 3. other nekkid peepel (n
  4. Never buy a game that has "dungeon" in the title. Well, its only a month til K2 is released in sweden(feb 11)
  5. I meant platform such as in platform games like super mario etc. and since Im not a D&D nerd, I couldnt care less if Klauth is a level 46 autocrat with seventy slots of golden shower and an offending value of 3.141 ..but ok, Im not being fair here. I enjoy CRPGs for the story and characters, I dont know or care how combat works and I prefer as little of it as possible in games- so Im not talking from the same point of view.
  6. Lets see what the 3rd ed rulebook says: There is no such skill. ..but there's a similar thing in guide to the sabbat called "vamp" which mentions nothing on the use on vampires except "many vampires considers its use distasteful or vulgar, as they no longer concern themsleves with such base mortal acts." GttS. pg 88 But I think its just a case of creative freedom for Troika, the "rule 0" of storytelling- if the storyteller says it is so, then so it is. ..and since its an adaption of a PnP game, what the PnP says doesnt really matter at all.
  7. Seriously, what does it matter if some boss somewhere was to easy to defeat. We're not talking bout some platform game here.
  8. I meant it in the abstract sense of the word.
  9. yes.... even though the poll was just another poll it did fill a certain function.
  10. by this I mean the entire BG series with all expansions against Fallout 1&2. Also I chose not to include "both" or "other" or similar options because its more interesting that way, and also such points can ve expressed by posting said opinion without voting. In this day and age there has been two stars on the CRPG heaven who shined brighter and whiter than all others. They are the basis from which all other games are judged and many are the voices who cry out in despair that developers seem completely unable(or rather unwilling?) to match the greatness of these ancient giants. Apart from being just another witless poll, could we have an argument why developers seem to ignore the lessons taught by the success of these games?
  11. Well, that particular thing was because the finns sided with nazi germany against the russians. they used much german equipment during that period. a friends finnish grandfather has a service document stamped with the eagle and swastika.
  12. Good ol Servant of Eru, it is nice to see some men of not only intelligence but wit on these boards. :D I just wish I had taken it further and gotten into a really wild mock-argument with above posters. But that sort of behaviour has gotten me banned on pretty much all of the previous forums Ive plagued. ...but the Bindo-thing. it might have flown over my head, I just meant that he was going on and on about neutrality and the natural ebb and flow of the universe, only to go ape with lightsidedness if you selected the badness.
  13. may favourite sine was whe de orcks stp and talk: -What do yuo smell? -Manflesh totally sweet and awesome..
  14. Come to think of it, Ghost Recon was never especially good. There was nothing fun about it and yet we used to LAN it all the time. The AI especially is of bottom standard(slowly walk towards player, shoot)
  15. Beautiful bai Christina Quilerra is the beutifullest song evahrR!
  16. The only thing offensive about you, is the ridicilously small font which makes my eyes hurt and my brain cringe. red is even worse because it creates this weird contrast with the grey background and gives you migraine
  17. Its there so you can seduce them for easy feeding ..or, as is the case with other vampires, so you can make them give you/do what you want. I could quote from the V.tM sourcebook but thats overkill(and gay to boot).
  18. Same here. An idiot friend of mine lured me into buying it saying "it liek Bg2 I sw3ar" and I went and bought the POS without checking it out beforehand. 30 min into the game I was bored, an hour more and I was frustrated and still I played it even more to the point where I was raving furious. But stubborn as I am I finished the ****... but by activating the ultracheat and just walking through.
  19. Well, both his and your problem is that you take this way to seriously. I have an odd sense of humor that may be difficult to fully comprehend, usually I tend to get as close as possible to being completely serious while still retaining full comedy. There may be some odd bits of material in here that could form the basis of a serious argument but that was for comedic effect The only real true thing I have to say is that i think its sad when they kill off beautiful actresses and keep the lame protagonistic ones.
  20. well, if one wants to be nitpicky then vampires completely lack the ability to feel love, attraction or any of those things other than through a bloodbond and even then, the emotions not nor really real. vampires have only one passion, one desire, one ambition and that is blood. a vampire falling in love with another(or a human) is like a refrigirator falling in love with a chair.
  21. How could *reading* be of any help when youre out of toilet paper? "Oh, gee Im all out of tp. Well, I guess Ill just pick up this magazine lying here and read until someones comes along with the right stuff."
  22. I thought a bit about that myself actually but I think they just glue to attach the prosthetics to both the surface of the nails aswell as around the fingertip, then they used makeup and silver-colored nailpolish to cover it up. Hugh Jackmans claws were CGI for the tricky scenes but the "live" ones had a grip resting in his palm.
  23. I really dig portugal, wanna trade? :D
  24. ..no, not really no. (and I arent no darn missus either)
