I used to get banned all the time from forums, in fact every forum Ive been a member of up until this year. You have to learn to ignore and not swallow bait(intentional or otherwise).

I installed AVG Antivirus 7 free edition and this caused my computer to increase its bootup time by an estimated 2 MINUTES(!) no viruses were found. I did find one SVCHOST.EXE process ran by SYSTEM to be drawing 98% processor power contributing to the slagging down of my system. The problem disapeared after I uninstalled the program but Im left with a question: was it the program itself or a new virus with a "block antivirus progs" feature? heard any rumours going around?

In Sweden there are universities(2) that offer education in game development, a full university program of maybe 3-4 years. Its one basic year of broad learning programming, modeling and animation and then the program offers branches with advanced in depth studies of each(theres also writer/concept and a sound/music branches available) But I wonder if its really worth it? The picture I get of the gaming industry is that experience is what really counts, not schooling. Am I wrong? Would a company hire someone fresh out of uni without any commercial game titles in the belt?

For me, it was quite obvious that K2 wasnt going to be a continuation of KoTOR as soon as I heard the about the main character and I agree that it is a good thing. Isnt a large part of it also that since K2 will be Obsidians first game, its important to show you can stand on your own legs and create something new? But Ill admit that my first comment was: "Thats like going to see Spiderman II and finding it to be about Peter Parkers unknown second cousins roommate"

I finished K1 in just short of 70 hours, Im a very slow player so to really milk out the game because I cant replay RPGs(my memory is too good)

If it was more than 6 months since you did your last Win install then you probably need a good, clean reinstall anyway. Id advise you to make a system partition on your drive so you can just format the partition in the future. Viruses and *.ware rarely infect beyond the OS and its components. Im going to make a virus that destroys all *.ware it encounters plus those annoying companies who purchase expired adresses and replaces them with those odd pages that looks like portals but arent really useful for anything.
