Saving Corporal Gilad
I dont think anything is going to get anyone anywhere down there. The entire situation is permanently and irreversibly screwed up. We'll be seeing people blowing up other people with bombs and helicopters for atleast another 100 years, probably longer.

Saving Corporal Gilad
They couldnt just have pulled the old Cold War thing and lined up a dozen tanks by the outskirts of the ciry? Noooo, sir! They had to go in and blow **** up to prove that theyre serious. Like the Palestinians think someones playing a joke on them after decades of being used for target practice.

Why the world hates America
Was the guy blonde? Was it Timothy Treadwell - crazy bear lover and subject of Grizzly Man? I didn't know there was video of that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, I saw "grizzly man" too and according to Herzog, theres just audio.

Marked was in Star Wars Tales issue 24. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oho. But Star Wars Tales is not officially canon, its "infinities" and isnt part of the continuity

Fallout goes d20
Lots of other games have similar rules. + makes sense that youd get a free attack on an enemy who puts his sword down, picks up a potion from his napsack and start chugging in it in the middle of combat. - doesnt make sense that somehow, time stops and allows you to attack a couple of extra times depending on what your enemies do. edit: I hope I didnt just hijack this thread into another AoO discussion "

What game got you hooked?
I had an Atari 2600 and it wasnt for that. I remember dad took a console home from the store so I could play it. I dont think it was "Combat" though, because I dont remeber being able to play anything but tanks and Combat had planes and stuff too.

Players and enemies competing on the same terms
I agree with you, my teacher (who shall not be named because he likes to google his name) who got fired this summer, is a bit weird and stubborn when it comes to some things. Still a good rule is one who is written so that it leaves absolutely no room for interpretation

What game got you hooked?
My dad had the towns first computer store back in the 80's so there never was a single Whoah! game for me as I cant remember a time without them. The first cool game I remeber was one of the Combat-like games, where you controlled a tank and you chased eachother through a maze. I dont remember what system it was for.

Was there no mysterious ancient race who had built the world invovled? "

Comics
Originally there wasnt even a Zabrak race because it was just Ian McCaig at the skywalker ranch who drew a evil-looking dude with red face-paint. Then the whole Zabrak race was invented by some comic/paperback guy. Wasnt there talk that he was an actual Sith(the race) before the Zabrak thing got invented? Whats this "Marked"? Which magazine did it appear in?
-
Comics
Who says theyre a Zabrak thing? I know I read that the Legacy comics breaks the continuity of the pulp novels, but since its new, officially licensed and checked by Lucasbooks continuity editors then Legacy is the new shiznitz. This whole continuity thing is rubbish IMO anyway. ..and if the Sith are tattooed in an offical product, then tattooed they are. And here's the rundown on the Sith from the #0 Issue Sketchbook

Players and enemies competing on the same terms
My teacher used to be in the gaming industry and he hates the idea of people playing HIS games "the wrong way", so he dislikes people playing others games in the wrong way aswell. Thats because Fate points etc. are included in the game rules for balance, and it clearly states in the rules that they are for PC's only. This might seem a bit hypocritical but I dont consider it a breach of "everyone must follow the same rules" because those are the rules you follow. Thats why I dont consider those things part of this discussion.

Automated post removal message?
There is such an automated system for warnings but not for simply deleting posts. To implement it would require modifying the board source code which Im not sure can be done. Its a nice idea though. to have to send a PM every time they delete a post would take a surpising amount of extra time for the mods.

Players and enemies competing on the same terms
I didnt confuse anything? or have I overlooked something? 1. The GM does not have authority over the rules. -I would say the group can modify the rules as long as all the players and the GM agree on the changes. My teacher on the hand says that if you change the rules, you're no longer playing the game the designers built. 2. PCs and NPCs must follow the exact same rules in all circumstances where rolls are required. -The most annoying example of this was whe we played WFRP and our GM kept allowing the enemy to move further in one round than they are allowed. They perform a full action and then still do one half action in the same round. And they all mysteriously had the "lightning parry" feat which allows you to parry even though you did not spend a half action to go to parrying stance, even though their career did not give them that feat.
