New laptops with the SantaRosa chipset are much more difficult to install XP on. The only way youre even going to be able to get Xp to detect your hardrives is to slipstream the SATA drivers into an Xp *.iso and if you succeed with that you still have to do alot of detective work to find drivers which may need to be converted before theyre useable.

I just replaced Vista Bussiness with good ol XP on my nw laptop and the performance increase is clearly notiecable, not to mention that all my software will work correctly now. I would not recommend anyone to run Vista for any reason.

No laptops come with a proper OS disc, they all have these rdiculous bundles with "restore" cd's. What I have done is just to wipe the HDD clean and install everything by hand with my own OS discs and software. Since this one comes with Vista, I have to wipe it, since Vista is for 3D software what sugar in the gastank is for engines.

My new laptop is a Hewlett-Packard. It is so much kewler than a Dell or a Fujitsu-Siemens

A mediocre shooter that got only really got famous because it was the only shooter available for the Xbox, and people still get their knickers in a knot about the franchise even though youve got both Bioshock and Mass effect being released now.

Bioshock does have the latest Securom protection-scam which implants a rootkit into your windows installation. This rootkit cannot be removed short of formating your HDD, so antivirus software does right in warning about it. Yet again copy-protection achieves nothing but giving people with legitimate copies grief.

Fahrenheit wasnt more art than your average hollywood film, I doubt the designer had any ambition but to make an entertaining game that stood out a bit from the rest.

For something to qualify as art, it must have been done with the intent to produce something artsy. It also needs to have that special undefinable "thing" that you cant really quantify

Kaftan the amazing was the best mod ever using the secret alias of "Authority". Later, Gabrielle the goth was made mod using a secret name Dark Raven. This was supposed to be secret. During this time a league of gentlemen formed of which kaft and Jim were members. Jim asked kaft if gabrielle=dark raven and kaft looked into the sacred book of IP-adresses and found it was so. There was much rejoice but Jim accidentally mentioned that it was the kaft who had leaked the secret. Jim tried to save the situation by saying he hacked the kafts account, but the green dragon knew the truth. And the kaft was demoted, but given an awesome title "Obsidian VIP" instead, and there was much rejoice. Jim got banned 4-5 times after that and is now hiding under a new secret name.

I was just saying that games(currently) are entertainment and there is no game counterpart to for instance Roy Andersons "Song from the floor above", Dostojevskijs "The Idiot" and other works of high artistic integrity, quality and value. But I think that it's only a question of time until we will see "fine art" games.
