Yes, I have finally gone against my principles and got one for my birthday+christmas. There are just too many games released that never make it to the PC nowadays, and I cant keep up if I dont bend my principles slightly. Can I really connect a mouse + keyboard to this thingie to play or is that just a theoretical possibility? I hate aiming with a controller.

I agree, although I have played every game in the series and the expansions. Episode one almost bored me so much that I quit. Hl2 is a very average shooter with fun story elements while Crysis is a top-notch shooter with average story p.s and no, I dont like the ***ing gravity gun. It's a shooter and in ushc a game I want to shoot stuff, not faff around like ponce and toss my enemies to death with random objects. You can toss stuff in Crysis too, but they're smart enough not to base the whole ****ing game on it.

Buy it. Buy it now!! The single player is awesome but the co-op is the best in the history of mankind. Me and a friend played through it in two nights and when it was over we cried for a minute and then started over again on the insane difficulty. Now we go around saying things like "This' mah kind o ****!!" and giggling like schoolgirls. I was going to declare Crysis PC game of the year, but GoW beats it with just pure raw action. an on topic: DMC is one of those icky japanese anime-game isnt it? androgynous guys with long white hair and swords?

I havent played the whole game, but it's very much combat oriented so far. You can stealthkill normal people with your wristblade, but your "big marks" are always positioned so that your only option is direct combat. But AC was never intended to be anything else but an action game.

I agree with that. AC is severely lacking in gameplay elements tied to assassination, so far Ive found no other way to kill the main marks but to attack them and kill them in combat. No strangling, no cutting throats, no poison if their food, nothing but plain combat.

I prefer direct "push a button - punch" combat over the counterattack system, which can get frustrating at times.

I see two problems 1. 80gb hardrive is too small. Even if you have an external USB drive, you will still need enough room for programs and games. Not to mention that you wont always be able to bring your USB hd. I have two 160gb disks in my laptop and thats pretty sweet 2. A 15" monitor with a resolution of 1680x1050 is very bad for your eyesight. I would choose a 17" screen. I switched from a 15" laptop to a 17" a few months ago and it was a huge relief.
