That's right, a total surprise they developed a sequel to their own baby instead of outsourcing it to some nobody in order to create a highly interesting story/setting for Gears 2. Well, I might have a skewed picture in my end of the world, but it seems like no one was interested in another UT(and definently not another unreal sp). The miserable sales figures seem to prove that theory. So, IMO it would have made more sense to focus on Gears of War which is a really hot IP (it has also sold more copies than the entire Unreal franchise combined). Much of Epics staff are also just occupied with developing and supporting the engine(s), so they would be wise not to spread their workforce too thinly by continuing to develop games for an IP in decline. Would have been better to sell licenses.

EPIC have very skilled graphics programmers(most everyone who works at epic is a master in their field), the U3 engine is really really wicked. ID Software's tech5 is probably just as fast, but theyve had longwer to work on it. CryTek on the other hand, rely on the power of nextgen hardware rather than optimizing their engine for whats currently available... although thats not really fair since CryEngine2 has some REALLY fancy stuff that absolutely require top-notch hardware. But I was actually surprised that Epic themselves developed UT3, Gears of War is so much more interesting both in terms of gameplay and story/setting, that the logical thing would be to put U3 on license to another dev while they work on Gears of War 2.

I played with my 7900GTX and i was able to play with everything at Medium + high texture and model detail, and get decent FPS. I would get a top-of-the-line Geforce9800 now that theyre being released in february. SLi is IMO only useful if you're running a display with extremely high resolution like 2500x1600.

Is it better if you're a guy? Well, its Deadpool we're talking about here and just that bumps it pretty friggin far up. Then you have to calculate in the possible awesomeness of buying cable aswell and having them both together (even though Nate is a bit of a party pooper at times).

My character is a divine champion of "no deity", which is kind of fun. Kind of like a crusading agnostic. Ive always thought religion to be quite [insert negative adjective of choice] so Ive never given the gods any thought in nwn. I would adress anything to do with Localization to ATARi. OE has nothing to do with that, to my knowledge.

My 360 is very quiet. Because it's in a box Im not allowed to open until christmas! It's one of the new Premiums with HDMI so it should be quieter than the gen1 360's though

I got so sick of NWN2 the last time so I deleted all my modstuff, so now I have to do some new custom hair, armor etc. because the ones that come with the game doesnt please my exquisite esthetical senses.

I noticed that TAB no longer works to see what objects are interactive, is this function gone or has it been reassigned to another key? I cant seem to find it in the key mapping options

Im going to have to turn off some graphics features, any tips on performance hogs that doesnt add much estheticly? The only way I can get my FPS to approach playable (40-60) is to completely turn off all shadows and normal mapped terrain. And this with a computer that can run Gears of War on medium without a hitch. gaaah...

I really, really dont like this engine. I got MotB for Christmas and I just flew home and installed it on my brand spankin awesome HP laptop (Intel C2D 2gHz, 2gb ram, 8600gt) and it stutters when I play on medium... medium for pete's sake! The only way the game gets decent FPS is if i play it in 800x600

I thought they hadn't confirmed any factions for sure? Maybe my info's wrong. Well, I got the info from Wikipedia so maybe it's not that accurate.

I hope(in vain) that they will let you actually talk to NPCs in Fallout 3, instead of using Bethesdas usual approach and having your character lumber up to an NPC and yell "Sword!" or "Quest!" to make yourself understood. That and all the other dozens of bad design decisions that is the modus operandi of Bethesda.
