  1. I don't know, but it was pretty exciting to see a big amphibious assault ship sail into the harbor, today. It came all the way from the south-west horizon, past Point Loma, around North Island, passing by downtown toward Naval Base San Diego. I thought it was a full-on presidential-class carrier at first, but it appears to have been the USS America, LHA-6.
  2. All is not lost. But it is expensive. Locally enthusiastic brewer Ballast Point makes a scottish ale, but in 22oz bottles at cinco dollars a pop. For the main course of twelve I settled for Newcastle Brown Ale, but, I mean, it'll never wear a kilt properly. What is it about the malt that I love and why is it so rare.
  3. The one field of study I have a doctoral degree in practice.
  4. I ... know, I took another look at the KS and couldn't find the love, just a little confusion and trepidation on my part.
  5. I literally drank a Zima at the end-of-tour bar at the Coors brewery in Golden, Colorado in 1993. I literally said out loud to a female companion, "I could drink this all day." I was mistaken. I was also newly 21, so, you know.
  6. I just told the Update 91 thread I would back this game, but a second look at the Kickstarter page makes me think half-a-million dollars is beyond the stars.
  7. I was on the fence about Seven Dragon Saga, but if Obsidian tells me to back it, I will back it hard. Thanks for updating. Can't wait to play solitaire with Pillars of Eternity playing cards while wearing an Obsidian t-shirt. I always knew I'd be cool someday.
  8. Hey, who are you calling a degenerate. It is painful and rewarding to roll a thousand times and finally get an 18(00). Such dedication, you don't even mind when the Girdle of Frost Giant Strength shows up.
  9. The author has an unruly drawer full of cables. My unruly drawer is an old box from a keyboard/mouse combo ... every cable from 1999 is probably in there. I heard a scuffle once, I think an IDE cable went fisticuffs with a FireWire. Type-C sounds cool, a little too close to Hep C, and I'll miss the sexy initials of HDMI, but, whatevs delivs the powah.
  10. Not Project CARS, delayed a third time to May, thanks to me, putting my fingers to my temples and wishing, please, Slightly Mad Studios, delay your racing sim so I can play PoE the entire month of April. Really I don't mind.
  11. My dealer ran out The grocery store beer aisle doesn't stock scotch ale anymore. Seasonal, or something. Not a bad substitute, Blue Moon Mountain Abbey Ale, "select roasted malts, a hint of Belgian sugar, and a touch of wheat for a rich, caramel flavor and a wonderfully smooth toffee finish."
  12. Sounds strange ... a 7970 struggling with Wasteland 2. My vanilla 2GB 7850 barely breaks a sweat. Even the archaic Llano quad-core doesn't complain.
  13. Going to be a good week, that week. Hobbit marathon on Tuesday, Pillars of Eternity marathon two days later. I am seriously experiencing joy.
  14. Are you guys really migrating, I don't know, seems bright and less interesting than here. Plus there is no evidence whatsoever of Shaka Cthulhu, I checked every thread.
  15. D.C. Area ... that's so weird, I hope they let you wear flip-flops in public. I would totally play that game, too.
  16. Sorry, double, but I just discovered Zoolander 2 is confirmed. I am so hot right now.
  17. Snazzy breakroom, amiri--OH MY GOD WE ALMOST LOST OBSIDIAN
  18. Weeks after?! Lord, not now, everyone must register to register to buy tickets which sell out practically instantaneously, literally in minutes every February. It is a comical farce for normal people.
  19. Still not sure if vines are post-able, but I seriously cannot tell if this was manufactured or genuine so I have no idea if I should feel bad for laughing. https://vine.co/v/MAOigK3MYJJ
  20. were hawt and will have always been
  21. Probably popped over to Monte's flat for tea and strumpets and scotch-soaked cigars. Say that three times fast. My odd question is, is it possible when someone thinks of someone, could it also make them think of them
  22. Skyrim was actually called The Elder Scrolls V: Bounty Quest during internal development.
