  1. If Green Shirt Girl makes an appearance in the game, I will buy three more copies.
  2. That xaurip warchief got his ass kicked.
  3. Can't wait to be the envy of myself when I wear that Obsidian t-shirt.
  4. It is so hard to let go of my mouse and watch the gameplay and not try to move the cursor and click on stuff.
  5. Hey I'm moody and overcompensate with excellence.
  6. Is this a real thing, are we about to see something from Obsidian ...
  7. I know, right, my favorite part of TNG and TOS is the naval officer command structure. It's the perfect authoritarian backdrop to all the crazy sci-fi scenarios ... whatever happens, you know the Federation has a contingency plan or a UCMJ to keep things real and moral and fair. As I recall, that sort of thing is largely absent in the other Trek TV series.
  8. Holy high military naval drama, Captain. Replete with secret orders, an onboard Admiral, mutiny, wildly illegal internal Federation machinations, and an utterly convincing Romulan Warbird Captain. Episode 12, Season Seven, Star Trek: The Next Generation ... The Pegasus. Terry O'Quinn as a vengeful Admiral Pressman--I'll never look at John Locke's character the same. Directed by LeVar, naturally, which explains the badassery. I had almost given up on Season Seven being a dopey swan song ... nope.
  9. Would love to air some grief involving local mid-eighties temperatures, low-twenties humidity, and a bacon-searing UV index today, but then I see what weather is like on the east coast and I feel no grief, just relief. Hardy har har, frozen suckers. This sunburn is killing me.
  10. Today the news told me four billionaires are vying for the NFL market in Los Angeles, a prize valued at $800B, compared with $200B in homeless chump change for San Diego. Goodell and the SD mayor are scheduled to speak in a phone conversation next week, wherein one surmises Mayor Faulconer will be told his 25% franchise will need not only a miracle of two-thirds public funding to build a stadium, but also neener neener, you're third fiddle in California, take what you get and like it. Oh, wait, fourth fiddle, the Raiders ... likely third chair in the palm tree pigskin symphony.
  11. All bacon and no brussel sprouts make brussel sprouts taste good. Can't talk, gotta finish this awesome episode of Elementary.
  12. Some people find Jesus in toast, I opened the Creamy Roasted HoneyNut and found a nut butter demon. The demon's face can be seen in a mirror. They are not vampires.
  13. Very nice, it's great to see a preview of that which will wipe the floor with my hapless party. Interestingly, my last name is literally drake, so, I guess I'm all up in this game like an intermediary creature boss.
  14. Johnny Cash? Fallout: New Vegas? Dammit I don't get it. Literary irony? I wish I was smarter.
  15. How do you get an image file to look good scaled down below 100kb. I really liked that Silk comic cover image for an avatar, but I couldn't get it to translate so small.
  16. Black Widow sketch by Chrissie Zullo, 2011

  17. Black Widow by Chrissie Zullo 2011

  18. Still infatuated with artist Chrissie Zullo, who maintains boss-level nerd empathy. Her rendition of Leia in honor of today's new mini-series comic book release.
  19. No problem, was posting more or less facetious, as always, not meant to conjure reality and lobster and cigarettes. I have easily misplaced any tethered shred of shame in having used liquid courage to be able to talk to that one super mega ultra female. The alternative can be and once was a train wreck of stilted silence that I played later as social anxiety, which is true. Sure it's funny and adorable now, but at the time ... tools, if they work for you, use them.
  20. Silk #1 Cover featuring Cindy Moon by Dave Johnson

  21. As soon as I get over that little crush I had during the holidays and into January and past February through to March, I'll go back to normal ... occasionally drinking on weekends. I was almost fine, and then Leonard died, and ...
  22. I'm not seeing the dark or the grit, just incredibly hardy trees growing from rock in a development build not meant for final consumption.
  23. I would guess that it depends mainly on Prima (maker of the guide), because I think that they are ones that responsible of producing and selling guide books. I just pre-ordered the hardcover and while the listing displays a release date, the order page says it will notify me by email when the book is available to ship. Which is slightly concerning, I thought pre-order items generally are advertised to ship on release date. It's probably nothing, I would be shocked if this guide sells out before release. Well, shocked and elated, I want PoE to do well. If you ordered it from Amazon, then that is quite normal as they don't want to be hold accountable if there is delays in production, which is why they don't promise shipping dates before they have product in their stock. I hope your are correct, but my sixth shipping sense tells me something is up with supply and demand for this book. The expected delivery for the other one, the art book from Dark Horse, is day of release, March 24, with a four. April 1 is when the order page for that book says it'll come. Almost a month before the strategy guide. Did I pay for two-day shipping ... no, I need beer money.
