  1. I'm not seeing the dark or the grit, just incredibly hardy trees growing from rock in a development build not meant for final consumption.
  2. I would guess that it depends mainly on Prima (maker of the guide), because I think that they are ones that responsible of producing and selling guide books. I just pre-ordered the hardcover and while the listing displays a release date, the order page says it will notify me by email when the book is available to ship. Which is slightly concerning, I thought pre-order items generally are advertised to ship on release date. It's probably nothing, I would be shocked if this guide sells out before release. Well, shocked and elated, I want PoE to do well. If you ordered it from Amazon, then that is quite normal as they don't want to be hold accountable if there is delays in production, which is why they don't promise shipping dates before they have product in their stock. I hope your are correct, but my sixth shipping sense tells me something is up with supply and demand for this book. The expected delivery for the other one, the art book from Dark Horse, is day of release, March 24, with a four. April 1 is when the order page for that book says it'll come. Almost a month before the strategy guide. Did I pay for two-day shipping ... no, I need beer money.
  3. My neighbors look at me funny now, when I take out four empty twelve-pack bottles each week to the curb recycling. Whatevs.

  5. Hail HYDRA one more time, I dare you! Cut off one head, two more will be cut off by SHIELD!
  6. What a pleasant surprise, after the blackest of nerd weekends, I didn't even notice a single lens flare, the 2009 Star Trek film, so much of Leonard, my god, Jim, what a catharsis.
  7. I put Voyage Home first, the comedy killed me ... 'double dumb-ass on you!' ... and Scotty talking to the computer mouse, haha ohmigosh
  8. You enjoy correct details, so if I may, USA, or NSX or FBI, is an initialism. A letter-word spoken as a word, like NASA, is an acronym. Sorry, I'll show myself out. I was born in Provo, Utah, USA ... another reason to shamefully show myself out.
  9. A nonsense post, what, is there such a thing. I'll try. I like brunch, and mimosas especially, no matter who may claim their pervue. I also enjoy spotting the Lucky Brand logo on back pockets of men or women, just because it's fun to know when someone likes what you like. Which is why I hang out here, and the comic shop, where people who flock the same feather, and all that. It's reassuring, uplifting. *oh, I'm being told it's purview. See, told you, nonsense.
  10. And I kept thinking of the "bleh" he rates for kissing. Good food, drink, conversation, a kiss ... these things by way of the mouth could not be more enjoyable.
  11. You are doing high-altitude living correctly. Linger Mortuaries, the best restaurant sign ever.
  12. Some console games ... I just saved Sam and the island of Yamatai again, now I'm going to watch/play/tear-up as Ellie saves Joel's soul.
  13. Is Hobbesian combat an indictment or endorsement, asking for a friend with only a right-brain.
  14. Asps ... very dangerous. You go first.
  15. I may have been mistaken, sake can and will hit hard, even soon after a spicy bacon BK cheeseburger. In my defense I couldn't feel it coming, and it wasn't the most expensive nigori ever made, and I drank from a wineglass, so I got the spins and resultant headache I deserved this morning. Gotta remember to only binge-watch The Walking Dead, not binge-drink cold rice wine. Back to the scotch ale, now.
  16. A lot of great tribute sketches, this one by Ron Salas in particular.
  17. Bring back any memories? So, so many. 25 years this year and I still remember our SDI and DI's names, platoon number, drill commands, all of it. I was 17, on firewatch in the recruit barracks looking through the porthole to the blinking lights of Mission Hills, the same place I was at this week, as a senior citizen of 42.
  18. You got your thin summer linens, thick winter linens, spring floral linens, and the impending autumn sub-60ยบ imminent chill danger linens. Also, I think ABC stores outnumber surf shops in reality.
  19. Dumb breakup song, but I literally fell to pieces on the way home after hearing the news. I couldn't see where I was I going at 12mph all the way up the coast in Friday traffic in a world without Nimoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ON1UU5t8XzM
  20. Three days this week in Mission Hills, primo view of downtown, Lindbergh Field, Coronado Island, North Island Naval Air Station, Point Loma, and MCRD ... I could even see individual recruits getting pitted and double-timing the perimeter of the obstacle course. Could just make out the parade deck ...
  21. Spider-Gwen #3 Cover detail by Robbi Rodriguez

  22. Is it math or magic, how do you guys simulate interior fire light passing through stained glass diffusing into the haze outside. It looks so good.
