Enchanting is also surprisingly badass. I had no idea collecting all those gems and trinkets and spider legs and whatnot could be useful. Even Crafting is rewarding--these two mechanics have never been fun in a game before ...

It's a brilliant combat system, the per-encounter abilities are super fun--but they won't activate themselves, which is the point. From IGN:

I dig it, somehow the combat theme is both congratulatory and damning--depending on how well my fight is going. And the moment of silence after a hard victory is a strange reward in itself, too. Don't die inside, Justin, you are wanted for the expansion.

Just got back from the ocean, Anslög's Compass, spent the afternoon staring at seaweed beds under the water swaying back and forth in the waves ... amazing.

Nice. The camera comment seemed weird and irrelevant, but no true gripes in the article. Obviously 'outdated' was just an incorrect descriptor.
