  1. Oh, okay, hopefully 'ambivalent' is another way of saying good quality, reliable, durable. I'll find out in seven business days, so they say.
  2. That's fine, I guess, no TRON 3. I adore Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner is a favorite, and literally I've watched Legacy 46 times (because, sound design and Ducati) ... but faith in the director just isn't there, for me.
  3. Okay, those are all sufficiently badass. I'll try the BBX model and see what Dutch engineering is about. By Dutch engineering, I meant designed in Germany, manufactured in China.
  4. There's only one god, ma'am ... and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that.

  5. Same, more than ten days now. I tried so hard on the plane back from KC and Phoenix not to cough but damn it when your throat feels like damp 220 grit.
  6. The Steam summer sale might bring the tide back in, but, either way I'm glad Obsidian owns their own property. Today's activities include well-earned brown ale and pizza, after a breakfast of sugar peas and sprouts. Sprouts are amazing, fresh or fresh with jalapeƱo ranch.
  7. The F4 trailer I saw this afternoon looked pretty good. Ben, especially. They flashed a micro-second of Doom's face ... the movie might not be terrible.
  8. Ultron was so entertaining, I went home and double-featured the First Avenger and Winter Soldier. So weird, no one remembers ... or, at least I didn't ... the curly-haired engineer who tells Rumlow, aka Crossbones in Winter Soldier, **** off, "I'm not gonna launch those ships, captain's orders" ... and yet, there he is, in the next big-budget sequel, reprising a no-name role. Continuity, good writing, and colorful costumes, make people happy, DC Comics, get with the program and sell Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman to Disney.
  9. I love the ZRG logo ... I hope they print some shirts and coffee mugs, maybe a beanie, except I don't wear beanies, but I'd still buy one. The only thing is, whenever I see the logo, I have the urge to speak in an evil tone ... fire one million.
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_29yvYpf4w
  11. Finally, Age of Ultron. Incidentally the first theater experience that failed to begin since Wolf (also starring James Spader ... hmm), way back in the reel days, melting in front of our eyes onscreen. This time, something digital failed to load, hard-locking at the Silence Cellphones Now screen. Thirty minutes later, I didn't cry at all during the Episode VII trailer in 3D. Anyway I loved it. Paul Bettany killed, Spader killed, Scarlet Witch is my new female, and ... The only thing was, toward the end, three-plus hours after sitting down, my eyes were swimming and it was hard to concentrate on the final act ... so, a question ...
  12. Just over $60 average pledge amount, double funding goal in 24 hours ... nice!
  13. Can confirm, ineffective as form of punishment. The backswing, there's a slight bounce and an intensity of sway that borders on hypnotic. 48 uninterrupted hours of WNBA is number one recommended effective torture.
  14. Almost there! Fingers crossed, t-shirt add-on. Got three from Pillars of Eternity, just sayin'.
  15. It's progressing nicely, might even see the funding goal tonight. I bet I could make a solitaire game out of it, in case I don't make any friends to play with by next February.
  16. Cooky's do indeed make pie, lots of them. I tried the peanut butter cream, having never seen it anywhere. Strawberry rhubarb, lemon meringue, every other cream flavor, every Dutch fruit flavor, ever, and probably a dozen more house-made varieties. Seriously worth the trip. And the brisket, my god in farmer's food heaven ...
  17. Kingsfoil is more effective in hot, humid environments. Which of course is why Aragorn puts it in his mouth first. A quality pair of jeans and a nice-fitting shirt really make me happy.
  18. Sure I'll put in for another Pillars of Eternity digital key. Maybe I'll try this card game solo if it comes with a Path of the Damned No Friends To Play With Edition.
  19. Whirlwind funeral tour complete. If you ever get the chance to stay overnight at the Airport Marriott Kansas City, don't. Or do, then you'll be like, that was terrible, and smelled bad. KC was only one night, thankfully, Springfield, Missouri being the more ultimate destination. It's a green place, greener than you'd imagine, and pleasant. They do it right at the Springfield Brewing Company. Superb food, quality ales. This very glass is home with me now, our server was so kind as to 'break' a couple of them for us. Grandma was buried in Collins cemetery, west of Springfield where she was born and raised, near Greenfield in Dade County. In front of the County Courthouse in Greenfield is a veteran's memorial dedicated to Dade County's sons and daughters. Slightly further west, is nestled the best cafe in all of southwest Missouri, snug next to the post office of Golden City, MO. Now that I'm home, there is no need to eat anything more for at least thirty days until I recover from the bacon and brisket and biscuits and gravy coma. Lots of rain and thunder and a little sunshine, but I enjoyed the visit a great deal. We'll head back as soon as the blue granite headstone Grandma wanted gets to the cemetery.
  20. Me too. Very unusual virus storm track this time. No nasal zombie apocalypse, persistent sore throat and dry cough.
  21. Weather has indeed been great, cool and cloudy, off and on for weeks, just like I like. Tomorrow I'll be in western Missouri, in case anyone needs anything from tornado country. Hopefully the hotel will have NBC so I can watch Monaco.
  22. Good grief, sternum punch in the feels, plus more than a minute of Crowded House ... Eddie, no! The only dissed appointment was Killer Frost ... I swear they promised we'd see Caitlin become metahuman. Anyway, I'm happy, all summer, every episode of Season One again, The Flash, Tuesdays.
  23. 'Horribly' ... just an observation, but mastery of the adverb belies a skill in English that what's-his-name's request for proofreading was looking for, just sayin'. I don't have any pictures of my game, which was Destiny, because I was too shocked at having played an online game that I enjoyed, that I didn't think it mattered to anyone, which it does not. Going back to The Golf Club, tomorrow, after I do laundry, after I finally watch Age of Ultron at 10:15am.
  24. Everything goes over my head. I'm like a puppy sniffing fannies. They do, though, every dog ever born whiffs the middle of every human ever.
  25. John Wick, finally. Always wondered what the difference between revenge and avenge is ... still not sure. Keanu was pretty great, though. Russian dog-killers, what's not to hate. Thought maybe his wife was the brunette looker from Blue Bloods, still not sure.
