Movies you've seen recently
Finally, Age of Ultron. Incidentally the first theater experience that failed to begin since Wolf (also starring James Spader ... hmm), way back in the reel days, melting in front of our eyes onscreen. This time, something digital failed to load, hard-locking at the Silence Cellphones Now screen. Thirty minutes later, I didn't cry at all during the Episode VII trailer in 3D. Anyway I loved it. Paul Bettany killed, Spader killed, Scarlet Witch is my new female, and ... The only thing was, toward the end, three-plus hours after sitting down, my eyes were swimming and it was hard to concentrate on the final act ... so, a question ...

Welcome Backers!
Just over $60 average pledge amount, double funding goal in 24 hours ... nice!

Pillars of eternity. Great game. But you messed up difficulty settings, costing you money for no reason
ManifestedISO replied to Tennisgolfboll's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Can confirm, ineffective as form of punishment. The backswing, there's a slight bounce and an intensity of sway that borders on hypnotic. 48 uninterrupted hours of WNBA is number one recommended effective torture.

Something's brewing.
It's progressing nicely, might even see the funding goal tonight. I bet I could make a solitaire game out of it, in case I don't make any friends to play with by next February.

What you did today
Cooky's do indeed make pie, lots of them. I tried the peanut butter cream, having never seen it anywhere. Strawberry rhubarb, lemon meringue, every other cream flavor, every Dutch fruit flavor, ever, and probably a dozen more house-made varieties. Seriously worth the trip. And the brisket, my god in farmer's food heaven ...

Something's brewing.
Sure I'll put in for another Pillars of Eternity digital key. Maybe I'll try this card game solo if it comes with a Path of the Damned No Friends To Play With Edition.

What you did today
Whirlwind funeral tour complete. If you ever get the chance to stay overnight at the Airport Marriott Kansas City, don't. Or do, then you'll be like, that was terrible, and smelled bad. KC was only one night, thankfully, Springfield, Missouri being the more ultimate destination. It's a green place, greener than you'd imagine, and pleasant. They do it right at the Springfield Brewing Company. Superb food, quality ales. This very glass is home with me now, our server was so kind as to 'break' a couple of them for us. Grandma was buried in Collins cemetery, west of Springfield where she was born and raised, near Greenfield in Dade County. In front of the County Courthouse in Greenfield is a veteran's memorial dedicated to Dade County's sons and daughters. Slightly further west, is nestled the best cafe in all of southwest Missouri, snug next to the post office of Golden City, MO. Now that I'm home, there is no need to eat anything more for at least thirty days until I recover from the bacon and brisket and biscuits and gravy coma. Lots of rain and thunder and a little sunshine, but I enjoyed the visit a great deal. We'll head back as soon as the blue granite headstone Grandma wanted gets to the cemetery.

Me too. Very unusual virus storm track this time. No nasal zombie apocalypse, persistent sore throat and dry cough.

Everything's Great - An anti-whinge Part 1
Weather has indeed been great, cool and cloudy, off and on for weeks, just like I like. Tomorrow I'll be in western Missouri, in case anyone needs anything from tornado country. Hopefully the hotel will have NBC so I can watch Monaco.

What's on the idiot box Part 4 (or something)
Good grief, sternum punch in the feels, plus more than a minute of Crowded House ... Eddie, no! The only dissed appointment was Killer Frost ... I swear they promised we'd see Caitlin become metahuman. Anyway, I'm happy, all summer, every episode of Season One again, The Flash, Tuesdays.

Pictures of your games Part 6
'Horribly' ... just an observation, but mastery of the adverb belies a skill in English that what's-his-name's request for proofreading was looking for, just sayin'. I don't have any pictures of my game, which was Destiny, because I was too shocked at having played an online game that I enjoyed, that I didn't think it mattered to anyone, which it does not. Going back to The Golf Club, tomorrow, after I do laundry, after I finally watch Age of Ultron at 10:15am.

The Funny Things thread
Everything goes over my head. I'm like a puppy sniffing fannies. They do, though, every dog ever born whiffs the middle of every human ever.

Movies you've seen recently
John Wick, finally. Always wondered what the difference between revenge and avenge is ... still not sure. Keanu was pretty great, though. Russian dog-killers, what's not to hate. Thought maybe his wife was the brunette looker from Blue Bloods, still not sure.

What you did today
Complimented a pilot today. After landing, we were disembarking and the captain was graciously acknowledging our departure one by one, so I was all, 'great touchdown, thanks'. He replied, 'thank you!', emphasizing his first word in that way when someone really did a fantastic job and deserves the credit, but never, ever receives recognition. Because it truly was ... a totally smooth kiss onto the tarmac, blindly dropping out of the clouds mere feet from the tops of downtown city buildings on to the runway. In order to land an Airbus or a Boeing or any airplane at San Diego International, pilots must skim an incline slope covered in concrete structures and pin-point a super-short strip or risk plummeting into the water of the bay beyond--something called a 'displaced threshold' at both ends. It stood in stark contrast to the six-foot spine-slam some other gentleman flyer was forced to unleash on Friday arriving in Salt Lake City, a much longer runway.

What you having for dinner tonight?
Yeah I hear that from several people I know where smoking weed makes them feel either paranoid, stupid or depressed. So they just wont do it But I think this is to do with the quality of weed a persons smokes, cheap weed can make you feel like that. I only suffer from feeling stupid at times when I'm stoned...but that's part of the fun. My natural personality is where I tend to think about many things all at once and sometimes this can be a little disruptive. So focusing and thinking about one thing, like a TV series or funny movie, is a nice break for me Even the dankest of the dank brings the clouds, for me, don't know why, although the gloom is a delayed reaction, so, I just leave it alone nowdays. Had some terrific burgers in Utah, the Hawaiian special with BBQ sauce, a pineapple slice, mad tasty bacon. And pink sauce, for the cheesy fries, oh my goodness. The place is called JCW's in the city of American Fork.

What are you playing now?
Destiny?! Yes, Destiny, some type of massively multi-something game. I spent the weekend at my brother's, who is max level and all that ... it was fun. Super pretty, decent challenge, a little samey same, even up to level 7, but I enjoyed it. Two first-ever achievements completed ... playing an MMO, and playing an Xbox One. Strangely, somehow I was not disappointed with either.

Star Wars Episode 7 Thread
Pretty sure we have a constitutional lawman around these parts, I'd like to know if this premise is nonsense or insight. I didn't read the abstract, probably because I have limited cognitive abilities. http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2015/05/an-essay-concerning-how-star-wars-illuminates-constitutional-law/

What you having for dinner tonight?
It was totally a stoney baloney snack, but no puff puff give 'round here. Chug chug burp, usually. Mary just makes me sad, don't know why.

What you having for dinner tonight?
Midnight snack, Pop-Tarts PB and J Strawberry. The PB is pretty weak, so, I smeared a fat pat of Skippy Super Chunk onto a pair of hot tarts. I eat healthy, too, sometimes. I've tried kale. Soon after, asparagus showed up with cream cheese and put down a tasteful beating.

What (spoiler free if possible) triggers the end of act2?
It's not a hair-trigger, you can't accidentally start Act III. Avoid speaking to Lady Webb in Hadret House until you've completed all the Act II stuff you want.

La neuvième art (comics you've been reading)
Thor. Was pumped for, like, eight months. I love the Goddess of Thunder. And then today's issue, the big reveal ... I literally closed the book, looked up, let out a big sigh and thought, whatever. It wasn't disappointing, I don't know, I was more thrilled to see Natasha have a speaking line of dialogue than to know who Lady Thor is. And what's with this Secret Wars nonsense, why is everything changing or ending or rebooting or whatever. A-Force better have She-Hulk and Natasha kicking ass or I'm done with being infatuated with strong female superheroes who can kick my ass.

What you having for dinner tonight?
Oh man I totally peel off the top bun every time and remove offending pickles. Why do they exist and who put them there. Were they forced to do it. It happens less now, thanks to breakfast being served all day at McD's. Someone who is normal and well-adjusted realized you don't mix pickles with bacon, egg, and cheeses. Burger King has better burgers anyway, but still puts pickles all over the place. Carl's Jr. has a new super spicy Diablo burger I'd love to try. No pickles.

What you having for dinner tonight?
Not for dinner, but worth noting, Cheesy Garlic Bread potato chips taste exactly like cheesy garlic bread. Even the texture seems buttery and toasted. The other flavor I grabbed is Cheddar Bacon Mac and Cheese. Haven't opened it, waiting 'till after I get back from Utah. I miss home already and I haven't even left yet.
