  1. ^I'm fairly sure I reported something similar with summoned weapons. Looks like it's not just summoned weapons after all. EDIT: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/95130-summoned-weapons-tooltip-accuracy/
  2. The 40-70 damage in Great Abjuration is also raw; that's what the symbol next to it stands for unless they changed it?
  3. No, I meant raw damage—the spell is kewl
  4. 36.6 * 1.2 = 43.92 so there has to be something else involved (bonus from Power Level?)
  5. One thing I don't get is why Great Abjuration lists a penetration value if it deals raw damage. Isn't raw damage supposed to ignore AR altogether? Otherwise there's no point to its existence anymore. EDIT: It doesn't appear to have a VFX yet. Great Maelstrom and Great Meteor Shower look pretty kewl however. Pretty kewl spells though
  6. It’s a feature; at least casting from scrolls is still fun
  7. I do believe that yes, for the most part the allure of custom companions is better stat distribution from a gameplay perspective (EDIT: and the ability to choose any class, subclass, or combination thereof.) Obsidian mentioned several times that story companions have stats that are meant to reflect their traits. I think it’s cool that they come with special, unique items, spells, and abilities. Adds to the flavor and makes them competetitve with hirelings.
  8. http://www.gamestar.de/artikel/pillars-of-eternity-2-deadfire-romanze-mit-haifisch-der-exklusive-begleiter-tekehu-enthuellt,3325728.html With some Google Translate Fu:
  9. I meant, since people will be able to slow things down with the slider, there will be no need for the devs to keep weapon recovery at 4s. It would make sense to revert the change back to beta2 values.
  10. Quite sure I reported this in the first beta build. Bump.
  11. Hey Caleb, I originally reported the issue here on a female human using the sassy pose, so I don't think it's dependent on race or pose. As a bonus, that thread contains a few extra glitches that might have slipped under the radar
  12. That hopefully means recovery’s going back to where it was, at the very least.
  13. Well, yeah, casuals won’t try to optimize at all costs, but if they build a multi-class character and find the key synergy they had in mind doesn’t work and they had no way to know, they’re not gonna be pleased either
  14. If that is the case, I must concede that they are indeed simple and easy to understand—once you find out about them. The fact that it hasn’t crossed anybody’s mind that this could be the case until your post, however, speaks loudly of the rules’ being counter-intuitive, IMO. Two bonuses to the same thing from a different source should stack; that’s intuitive and it promotes synergistic character building. Current stacking rules create a number of bad multiclass combinations that players can only discover by rolling the character first, then find out the key synergy they had in mind doesn’t work. In this context, I’d sooner go through all skill trees and draw up a list of which abilities stack and don’t stack (all information that would be the UI’s job to provide in the first place) than to blindly pursue a character concept. As a side note, resistances to Afflictions appear to be a glaring exception to the “passives stack” rule. The UI should communicate it, prevent you from picking a passive that doesn’t stack with another you already possess, or both. OR there shouldn’t be an exception.
  15. I’m getting it with Exceptional plate armor as well, in any pose. I *think* it affects female models of all races but don’t quote me on that.

  17. I never thought it would be an Early Access, but what’s the point of having veterans test your game if you don’t give them your game to test? If the beta isn’t a good reflection of the product they’ll ship, it holds very little value.
  18. Looks like crafting requirements are also getting cut:
  19. Quite sure Vektor's model isn't supposed to have his head clip through his hair, creating a bald spot?
