  1. Gotta say I agree with Sensuki, Bester, Luckmann and the others. This is another pointless feature developed at the expense of something IE games did right and PoE is not doing at all...
  2. Any good soul to post existing/old portraits that got a polish pass for this build? :D Agreed on clipping being absolutely ridiculous. It has to go. And for the sake of anything you hold dear, if we're to cope with engagement make it at least non-cheesable!
  3. Man, those look pretty kick ass! Kaz is incredibly talented.
  4. Veri gud :D Can't wait to see the beta folks discuss the new build. I dare to hope you'll be showcasing any new portraits and icons in your beta update post?
  5. Unfortunately I can't do that as I gave away my beta key early last September. However, I asked kujeger if he could do it since he also plays at 2560x1440—so hopefully he will contact you
  6. Really, though: Character models have come a long way since the early backer beta days. Kudos, Obsidian!
  7. Yeh, looking bad ass. Pretty much everything in the screenshot.
  8. I love the backdrops, most portraits (though I agree with you that some are subpar ), and all spell, ability, and inventory icons. I know some may disagree, but honestly I like character and monster models too. In general, this game looks pretty bad ass.
  9. Yeah it'll be included, courtesy of Karkarov. That's fantastic! In that case, thanks to Karkarov as well Since, as per your post above, every resolution needs be accounted for separately, any chance 2560x1440 is included for this thing of beauty? That would be another advantage over the vanilla UI, which scales beyond 1920x1080 and becomes blurry.
  10. Man, I was going to use the vanilla solid UI (perhaps moving the log to the center) ... but this is just friggin' amazing. If you're going to include this layout/texture in the IE mod, I'll be using it for my playthroughs.
  11. It's called "font ligature" and serves the purpose of giving text a more ancient feel. It can be turned on and off in the game's options.
  12. Everything looked pretty rad. Plus grimoire-slamming your enemies in the face is priceless.
  13. I can't believe they really added the "You must gather your part before venturing forth" voiced line. Nostalgia +1000.
  14. Edér's armor looks badass! Droid army still in Who's that red-bearded dwarf now? EDIT: Oh, Healbot ... LOL
  15. Is it me or Aloth portrait was touched up quite a bit to fit the others from a stylistic standpoint? Looking good. Also, Edér confirmed as a Fighter (dark sense of humor as a free bonus).
  16. Yup. Announced in their latest Kickstarter update. They're making WL2 GOTY Edition for PC, PS4 and Xbox and it will feature updated graphics through Unity 5. I can only hope Obsidian will do the same with PoE.
  17. Except a publisher's marketing department: a) has no idea what I want from a game. b) has no right to tell me what I do or should want from a game. Unfortunately, failure on the publishers' part to grasp such a simple concept: a) killed the isometric party-based RPG genre (publishers arbitrarily and unilaterally decided those games wouldn't sell anymore). b) dumbed down A.I., dialog, and storytelling to a bare minimum in all games because spoiled console kids don't like to use their brains when they game. c) turned RPGs into shooters with swords instead of guns (cough cough Witcher and Dragon Age cough cough). You know how much I am willing to pay for a Witcher game? USD $0. But I forked out USD $250 for PoE and would do so again for PoE2 if given a chance.
