  1. Chanter, but I didn't pick any summons, ranged weapon buff or maggots, maybe I'm doing it wrong. I just like how he has very versatile auras and invocations. There are also different chants combos you can use for more invocations or better auras. I'm going to replay the game with another chanter with a pike when I get the chance.
  2. There will eventually be a mod to fix this. For me this is similar to the dreaded suggestion about repairing equipment, it's a chore and a time sink. Such mechanics are good in turn based games, which PoE is not. D:OS handled this better.
  3. Reduce the difficulty or hire adventurers. I enjoy micromanaging my party a lot and this game is bonkers for this, even if combat feels redundant.
  4. Minor bugs here and there. Eder having 20 extra deflection and some Con, Kana being 1 point toosmart, nothing major if you've played other Obsidian games. I enchanted Saint's Armor and it works fine? I also can't reproduce the double click bug or the Roedric's Hold one. Got lucky with this one. I haven't to this day finished KotOR 2, I always manage to corrupt my save at some point even with fixes. :D
  5. This should have a spoiler tag. One of the most hilarious things in the game!
  6. The Pillars of Eternity team was inspired by recent Bioware games and introduced an unisex combat mechanic called Marriage. Usually this mechanic works along these lines "Till Death Do Us Part".
  7. It's the extras, you get with the game. Wallpapers, ringtones and others. Have fun!
  8. I just ignore them, there were some good ones but I don't dig all the drama involved. Also they are not mostly godlike, at least from what I've seen.
  9. I like your "fix". :D Stats are bland as it is, but reverting to the stone age is not a good thing. What I think needs fixing is differentiate between stats. Give each stat a unique twist. Con and Might look good to me, but everything else is just meh or indistinguishable.
  10. * More banter * More mature party members * AI Improvements * More Bell * Base Stats Scrapped * Engagement Polish * More Talents for Chanters * Endurance buff for everyone
  11. I have a lot of gripes with the game, but I not only like everything that the OP hates, but also think that the game great. Yes its buggy and riddled with ... but it's still a great game. but... but...
  12. No offense to Obsidian writers, but I feel the music is the best part of the game. Me and my mates have been discussing it for days now. I can't shake off the feeling that some tracks feel like tributes to some "famous" pieces, but I do like them all!
  13. The lower the number of enemies the better guns are and that is most of the time from my experience. I do not think ranger weapons are inherently broken, it's more of a global issue with combat in the game.
  14. I do agree that shadows are very frustrating and I think it is way too early when you first engage them. At the same time those require some very unique tactics that after reloading a few times I genuenly enjoyed. Most other fights I've encountered follow very strict and predictable rules. You can and most likely should equip ranged weapons on characters you feel are squishy. I got my chanter in melee with a shield, but its personal preferance. Do not try to melee with your whole party it does not work well in PoE. Positioning is key.
  15. Wizards have a few per encounter talents, but they do have very powerful spells and anyone who would tell you otherwise got something wrong. If you feel that those spells are not enough then don't play this class, there are other classes that have better tool-box feeling to them. I also have to note that mages have decent ranged weapons that they can spec in and deal a good amount of dps with. They are great damage dealers, but as with every CRPG a lot of auto attacking is involved.
  16. I for one like the Camping Supplies cap, it makes longer dungeons much more fun and engaging. I hope the game has more of these later on. On topic, I feel that the few talents you get for hp restoration are enough and given the way combat works in PoE wou'll rarely have to use them anyway.
  17. Start with PoE. It has much simpler but less tedious combat and better replay value (from what I can see) than BG2 and 1. PoE fixed a lot of issues these older games had. If you like this game then I would recommend you start with BG1 next, just don't expect PoE level of polish in the EE.
  18. Alas, I got SSJ Eder, SSJ Kana and SSJ Aloth.
  19. Glory to our obsidian overlords, indeed. :D Благодаря! Maybe the only reason I'm hating on this game is because I can't be home playing it.
  20. Good point. The most annoying thing about this is that there's no way to know for sure, unless you recalculate the entire character by hand. Goddamn it, how this this go through internal testing... =_= I now have the fear the my Edér is utterly broken. At the very least, he has +1 Per/Res, +10 Will and +5 Deflection too much. And I don't even want to think of what this has done to my other characters that I just haven't noticed. I'm currently at work so I can't check, might be because I use the defensive modal with the extra talent for it. Maybe I switched it off.
  21. This I've been saying this to all my firends that backed the game. The game mechancis are fine, but simply do not work with the so called real time combat (engagement). The game is awesome, combat is crap, combat in BG2 was crap in a different way, but still felt better, if you were a spellcaster... The expectations for this game were too high, they had to mix up too much stuff and the end mix got a tad bit too much of a Sawyer. I respect him a lot, but I feel they went too far with all the chains the game pulls on you and your enemies (hoping for Eternity Unchained :D). Hard difficulty is on par with a crappy time sink, but I expect that in every single game. The combat could be better, if engagement wasn't there in it's current state(or at all?) and if the endurance pools of most characters weren't this abyssmal. Still my score for the game is 85/100.
  22. That explains why Eder is level 5 in one of my saves and has like 70 on all defensive stats... But on another save its perfectly fine and the bug does not happen at all.
  23. I was level 5 at 10 hours, it's normal for CRPGs and leveling does feel awesome. At some point I wanted to level up so I could put 1 point in mechanics, just to open a door in a castle (turns out you can just find another way), felt an oldschool kind of awesome.
