  1. You have one okay to tough encounter before you can get him to join.
  2. Generally the game runs great, but I had some trouble recently with large groups of enemies. Is there anything in particular in computer or steam or game settings (or other things) that might make this better?
  3. Probably a bug because normally that would fit. But because of Eder's backgrounds, blanket rep changes for that made the whole thing wonky.
  4. I got the regret mote from point 2 and 3 Edit : to clarify I was messing with each point endlessly and got the regret mote at some point eventually. The set I talked about was my final playthrough.
  5. I don't remember having to say anything Aloth had an issue with.
  6. Oh! Make sure you use Eder's abilities like that relentless endurance thing, if that's applicable.
  7. That's good to know! Thank you! I suspected that was the case, *but* the Serafen line thoroughly guilted me out of it. I already felt uncomfortable pressuring Vatnir and then Serafen basically pointed out I'm forcing him into something in his Serafen way and I bailed. I might go that route on my next playthrough anyways. Like a hypocrite.
  8. I'm not positive on this one. I think you need to pick optimistic /kind answers and discourage her from trying to gain power and whatnot. I also heard a theory somewhere that if she gets mixed signals she'll do the opposite of what you say at the Vailain adra pillar.
  9. I think I maybe miscommunicated a bit. Pallegina's personality and beliefs are very strongly rooted and, as mentioned before, I'm pretty sure that she cares very little what the Republics do to *her. *. She might have doubts about some of their actions to others, but she doesn't care so much about her own well being. If the Republics did something especially unfair /bull**** to her, things might be different, but I'm sure she was well aware that there might be serious consequences for disobeying orders. As a result, it would have surprised me that Pallegina's attitude and perspective wildly changed from exile versus not. I *might* expect her to be more freaked out about things that might get her exiled or shamed again, but I definitely wouldn't expect her to be at all anti Republics. So what I'm saying is, I expect our decisions to affect her, but not her views about the Republics *in this case.* And if the only possible difference as a result would be so minor as to be more work than it's worth, then I would understand why Obsidian wouldn't focus on it. The game gives you a solid idea of what happened to her and how she feels about it. It's not like it forgot it happened. --- Side note, whoever said Serafen didn't react to the Principi slavery thing, that was not my experience. Unfortunately there's not a hub conversation about it, but if you have him with he very regularly responds to what's going on and what you're doing.
  10. At first I did assume Pallegina would have different routes /notes because video game rules /tropes and because of Aloth, but I would be far more surprised if she suddenly had a drastic change of opinions because of her exile. That doesn't really jive with her character. And if the changes that *might* be there are like three words (not a sentence), developers probably wouldn't think it's worth adding it. Also, I honestly can't confirm or disprove either way, but multiple people have talked about how she might have more issues with a rebel Watcher if she was exiled. I have no idea if that's true.
  11. The Huana are just a collection of groups that share similar culture and history, that can become a more unified nation if you go certain routes. So technically anyone can be Huana. I'm pretty sure they mentioned some of the Valian immigrants in Neketaka and similar were actually born there.
  12. I was surprised by how hard it was since I was level 19. I died once because of little fire dudes mixed with me messing up a spell. But it's largely felt like if I don't pay attention I'll die and if I do I'll be okay. Also screw the traps that my team can't see.
  13. I got scolded by Serafen for trying to pressure Vatnir to join us. :'(
  14. I pretty much just fought with it until it worked. I was installing BoW and Deck of Many Things. Eventually after pressing download a ton and buying BoW and then pressing the download button more, it eventually recognized I had DLC. Actually wait! I had to update the game too. Try checking the download section in Steam.
  15. I haven't gotten there yet, but I'll let you know once I get to that point. If someone hasn't already by then.
  16. As someone with a character that has mediocre perception , I am irrationally bitter about perception checks.
  17. Hopefully that didn't come off a me shutting you down. Wasn't meant that way.
  18. That's really well done! Like it actually looks pretty natural.
  19. I feel the same way about Co op as voice acting and some similar features. It's a nice touch, but it is *not* worth making the developers' lives hell or taking away the quantity and quality of the content in the rest of the game. On a complete side note : I would still support a PoE or Obsidian game without any or only partial voice acting.
  20. Lol Achilles. I feel like all this stuff on the forums has started to get to you. Though I can relate.
  21. I was able to get by just by having Xoti buff a lot and doing damage, but I'm on normal. What kind of debuffs are happening to your team?
  22. This isn't really my area of expertise, but if no one else jumps on this, I'll try to help.
  23. This is really typical for Obsidian though. I don't know of a game they developed that isn't like that.
  24. Also, it was so cool to get to bring up the gods issue along with the leaden key conspiracy stuff. I know it doesn't change much beyond a lady's memory, but I very much appreciate it.
