I sell my spares and use the money I make that way to buy the ones for the sets of the games I actually enjoy. No way I'd spend any extra cash on it though.

Yes they do. And they spend cash on them...
  3. Without having played the game I find it hard to decide. just because of popularity I wouldn't be surprised if someone tried to makea d20 version. And it may actually work, seeing how PE will be a class based game. But something similar to Dark Heresy could also work. Personally I enjoy systems based on percentages, as those are the easiest for me to get my head around. And I enjoy a system to be supporting the game through existing in the background and not be the driving force of the game.
  4. Is that the logic by which, when we were younger, we'd play RPGs (Baldur's Gate comes to mind) for days with hardly any rest because our characters were doing all the resting already?
  5. @Gfted1 Be careful with the Amoeba, they are sneaky. They are aiming for a Wonder or Economic victory, so while you are happy about your large empire and progress, they set up good relations and then turn every planet to producing cash regarding your question: Answer! You need to do the relevant cultural research (research tree on the left) to unlock more diplomatic options. I think... It's tricky trying to balance your research. You need applied sciences to be able to use resources. You need exploration to be able to settle more planets, expand your empire and build larger ships. You need warfare to equip those ships and be less of an inviting target. And you need the cultural tree to keep your citizens happy, recruit more heroes and talk to aliens.
  6. Borderlands / Borderlands 2 Bird's Eye View... if the bird was a spaceship http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=160100096 (if the screenshot shows up. Having some trouble with Steam)

Then again the two of us have different tastes in games But having to do exactly the same thing just so at the very end I can choose B instead of A doesn't count as replay value for me
  8. Evil tongues would claim that your PS3 just knows whats best for you and tries to protect you. They would claim that this proves just how much better Sony consoles are than the competition. Of course I would never make such a claim
  9. You mean organs don't spawn in groups of three when they enter your line of sight, do some cut-scene posing and then spread out and run for cover?
  10. Did you get to do a lobotomy?
  11. Yeah. Trying to figure out if enjoying MoO3 is reason enough to put someone on my ignore list. Though at least Zoraptor seems to be reasonably ashamed of his condition

It is a very short game made longer by motivating the players to replay it several times with different combinations of characters and two endings for each character. But half the experience will always be exactly the same, with unskippable monologues. While the cave's narration may be charming or witty the first time round, after you have heard it a couple of times it gets annoying really fast. Not that there is all that much story when it comes down to it. Add to that that the platformer gameplay is rather bad. Enough people enjoy it and it got a lot of praise from the reviewers. But especially comparing it to previous work, I found it very disappointing. It looks very pretty though.
  13. Besides, what rules? They are more like guidelines
  14. Really annoyed. The friend-referal thing is bugged. So people using my recruitment link didn't count for rewards. I have to get customer support to manually hook friends up to my account. As if I was going to badger everyone now...

You didn't miss out on anything

Check my post above and try the free trial first. Why spend money when you can test for free Apparently its still on sale on Steam for 22 horus.

Gfted1, shooting down the odd scout ship is not considered a hostile act as such, if I remember correctly. Or at least it is not open warfare. The game differentiates between war and cold war. As long as skirmishes happen outside either species' area of influence, while not nice, they do not count as proper acts of aggression. I sometimes shoot down scoutships, just to make a point ("past this warplane is my area - keep out"). You could probably even try to take over newly founded colonies without declaring open war. What it does mean though is that your relationship wont improve. Then again, close proximity will have those deteriorating anyway unless you are actively working on improving them. But Automatons are one of the nicer neighbours for the early game. Carvers or one of the two imperial human factions or even Hissho would be a very different story. Not sure what the Automatons are hiding to mind you scoutship though.

Yup. Voted for Portal 2 just because while I am not interested, I am interested even less in the other two.

Defiance discussion here should find some info there. You can use my friend referal link to make an Arkhunter account and play the 72 hour free trial to make up your own mind. Though the low price will be gone by then most likely :/

It did that for me. Then it decided that my credit card had declined payment. I got worried at that point and called my bank. They say everything is fine and no attempt at billing the card had been made. Left it for an hour and tried again, then Steam let the purchase go through.

They stated that every time a badge is crafted, a number of booster packs drop, randomly distributed around the other players eligible for a booster pack drop. I'd really like to know how they calculate how many. Yeah. I think they are being deliberately vague as they will be adjusting he number based on how many cards are out there.

  23. They got forced server segregation anyway. So not all of us could play together even if everyone did get the game
  24. I don't look at it as an MMO really, more on the borderlands line. The multiplayer part is very casual. But yeah, not every game is for every person. At the current price you can pretty painlessly try it out BUT: they also have a FREE TRIAL going at the moment, so ... But if you don't want to touch online games period, then that is understandable and a good reason to rule this out from the start.
