Did Lelianna's shoe shopping rants in Dragon Age also bother you? That was the worst modern day intrusion for me Dragon Commander I don't feel as you do, possibly though because I got exactly what I expected: a goofy fantasy setting that I never tried to take seriously.

Might be. It took me a while 'till I figured out how to produce units while in dragon form. It made battles a bit more managable. Though yes, the rts part does suffer a bit compared to true rts games.

Well, it is an RTS. The core game is moving armies on the map so you can then delve into rts battles.

Need to decide who to marry. Damn these games and their romances: The undead princess is meak, the dwarf powerhungry, the lizard independent and the elf an air-head. I am affraid the elf would make me cringe with every dialogue. The undead supposedly has the most interesting personal side quests. The dwarf has the whole breast controversy... Damn, I guess I have to play this game multiple times.

I just noticed some forum regulars own Dungeon Defenders. It is a fun little game as long as you have a fun group to play it with. Without friends it grows reptitive (and possibly unfairly difficult) real fast. I haven't played in ages. This is mostly due to the fact that I can't seem to motivate my friend list to do so. To remedy this, you are drafted: Picture a flyer with good ole Uncle Sam pointing at you over the caption that OBSDIAN WANTS YOU! I am supposed to be drowning in work for a few days, but I will need a break. Yeah, Echelon is the player VS player faction. I'd say keep an eye out for win X matches contracts and leave it until you have the perks you need. What is your player vs player loadout by the way?

Player VS Player is suffering from some bugs, exploits and aim-bots. There apparently is a trick with a certain layout to instantly heal to full hp and shields for example. Add to that that certain infectors make for amazing sniper weapons without the need to aim... On a normal team, facing a normal team. I get about 3 kills per match. On a good team, when things go my way, I can get double that or more. But the games when I get 0 kills because the moment I span I get slaughtered aren't that rare either A lot of people just keep away from it alltogether. You don't need to do all the PvP pursuits to reach 5000 ego anyway.

It gets repetitive. You control three characters (you can swap freely between various characters of a number of classes in town) but have one action bar for all three, making the end result similar to playing one character who's body parts you have to micro-manage... They tried to add some customization through implants. As Worst said: its a charming setting in post apocalyptic IKEAland. I found it managed to occupy me for about 10 hours and for that it is worth the price of a pint

Just got back in after a three week holliday. Been playing Talisman Prologue. Having a blast with it and remembering the good old days when we used to play the board game. Downloading Dragon Commander. Fired up Shadowrun Returns (first impressions not too good). Patched Defiance and Champions Online. Uninstalled Borderlands 2 after being honest with myself and admitting that I wont be playing it.

Don't know whether Thiaf will have good AI; the murder simulator, QTEs, departure from the series' ethos and everything else seem to be pretty locked in though. And the only theft will be optional ?

It's the best of the full novel length Gotrek and Felix novels. Demonslayer is fun as well, but fromt here on it goes downhill. The original concept of Gotrek and Felix just fit the short story format better. One or two novels it could still last, but after that it loses its charm. Personally I just finished the Windup Girl. Good book. I think the link to my opinion on it is here (if I got the right link)
