  1. I remember using Gate Keeper for all my Baldur's Gate games after a while. It was getting boring to reroll just to get a decent amount of stats to distribute
  2. I'd really like filters to hide the other items, not to just grey them out. A "sort" option would be very nice too.
  3. I feel offended that there are still people that buy on day one and then feel offended because of bugs.
  4. I remember them to. I don't remember them being significant to the game in any real way or being particularly well developed or well written. I remember them looking, feeling, and appearing very much tacked on because the entire design of the game, not to mention marketing set up for the games, was that they focused more on the strategic and tactical combat than the other IE games. That was their main selling point. Diablo had a plot, too. The IWD games were not some kind of narrative adventure and masterpiece of fantasy writing. They were never meant to be or designed to be, they were never sold on the strength of such, and for damn sure their reputation as great and well-remembered games in the fan community doesn't rest on the strength of their narrative and plot. True.
  5. He is not wrong. I remember those plot elements.
  6. As I said. He is playing it wrong. You don't got watching The Expendables for the plot. The same as you are not buying PoE for the plot alone, but also for the fight experience.
  7. At least some summoned units are also leaking into the saved files. My save also contains about 86 Xaurip spears, even when I don't have any in my stash. Because the state of vendor's inventories are saved as well. So if you've sold 86 spears, they'll be in your save file.
  8. Yeah! Those guys were the best! They got completely destroyed and then they ""reloaded" and were like "lets try this again - can we join you? No? Is there anything you need from us? Please, let us prove our worth by doing a menial fetch quest!" Not those exact words, but still. And then they returned with the pantaloons? Funny how I still remember that.... That was great. I was laughing so hard throughout the whole thing. and the floating eyeballs were a nice touch too. I remember that, it was hysterical xD
  9. Souls game are horrible with "exposition" in my opinion. I played all 3 of them, and I have very little understanding of the lore, and very very little memory of it. And the games never made me care about any of it.
  10. I'm sorry, if you want level scaling enemies you can choose any other game. This kind of games do not scale enemies to your level.
  11. Hmm, I think you are maybe approaching the game the wrong way. Even on easy, the difficulty is no even across the maps. It's not like modern games where all enemies are made to scale to your level and keep the same degree of challenge. Some fights will always be harder than other, you just need to level up, or find more companions, or find other classes. You are not going to steamroll everything with auto attacks.
  12. Exactly what I was trying to say some pages ago, but you explained it way better.
  13. It's useless. If during the installation, steam starts and downloads additional stuff, then you can't do anything about it. And if there is something it probably requires some shady things that could borderline into hacking the steam client, so it's probably something that can't be discussed here.
  14. That could end up being tedious because monsters don't give experience, and would stop you from resting, thus wasting resting resources.
  15. Define "many". A PC game is bound to have bugs upon release, much of it due to the fact that you have to account for different hardware and OS configurations. Are the current bugs "game-breaking" in the true sense of the word, as is the case with a lot of games nowadays? Not by a long shot. Some people should take a look at the patch notes for the unofficial patches of Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3 and New Vegas Those have literally more bugs than lines of code.
  16. Seriously, it's just a minor thing, but I think that the companion icon is way too big. Some of the portrait faces get completely overshadowed by it if the portrayed character is looking to his/her left. And, well, if I take my time selecting a good portrait, I'd like to be able to see it clearly during my many hours with the character.
  17. This is the sad reality of getting games with steam. Steam sucks.
  18. Hotfixes are, usually, small patches done in a rush, outside of normal development/testing cycles. I'd prefer having a patch that solves more problems, and passed quality assurance. Hopefully with better results than the game itself.
  19. Still. Those are not passive abilities. They are on use abilities. So, use them. Yes, manually.
  20. Passive abilities don't need to be activated. At least, I didn't see anything like that. And sustained abilities (modal), are on until your turn them off.
  21. You can't have tactics like in DAO and DAII. Here abilities and spells are not unlimited and with a simple cooldown timer. As joe_ollie said, if a spell/ability gets used at the end of the combat because the conditions are met, you've just wasted it.
  22. And if modding is easier than the old Infinity Engine games, we could have a lot of new NPCs. I remember stumbling upon quite a lot of NPC mods for BG I and BG II.
  23. I'm sorry, does he want Dragon Age? Because this is not Dragon Age.
