  1. Without the expansion Throne of Bhaal it had 16 characters. And some of them could be intended as "limited" time characters. Such as Imoen, Yoshimo and Valygar, because they either are not accessible for a huge amount of time, or they get killed off as part of a main/side quest.
  2. Baldur's Gate 1 had 25 companions. Whit almost no dialogues, banters, and silly super small quests. And PS:T companions... you can count them in my signature (the green thing is just a vanity pet, not a companion).
  3. Well, the point is that the concept of "sub area" is wrong. If there is a transition, then it's a completely separated new area.
  4. The problem *could* be addressed with this note. Fixed many issues where combat would not end properly. Since combat "not ending" properly could explain the inability to use the skill again.
  5. You could try reinstalling the game. Maybe some file related to that area got corrupted during installation.
  6. Comparing mario kart to any serious multiplatform crpg is kinda insulting for the crpg developers.
  7. Talking about gamesave size, all the stuff that we sell at vendors are kinda bloating the save file as well. Maybe if instances of the same item could stack we could have [10xWar Bow], instead of [War bow] [War bow] [War bow] [War bow] [War bow] [War bow] [War bow] [War bow] [War bow] [War bow]. It could help reducing size in the save file. If the save works that way, that is.
  8. That's why people should start buying on day one less frequently. It would start sending out a message. In general, not on this case alone.
  9. Darren, don't let them get you down. Yes some of us are quite vocal and they have the right to be (they should try to be a little cooler about things though). But I feel that there are a lot of us that understand how things work and are willing to wait for good solid updates. And by the way, the list of fixes for 1.03... damn! It looks delicious
  10. Day one patches are, supposedly, developed and tested before the day 1 release date of the game.
  11. Oh, what a pitty. I would pay $173 to see your sweet bootie. But seriously: I didn't want to start a whining thread. I just wanted to get an answer from the developers why they are pressing as many fixes as possible into a single patch instead of releasing some (or one) pre-patches with stuff that is already done. It's sincerely interest, not a troll question. Some people can be annoyed if there are too many patches to download. Especially with the GOG version. From what I can see they often repack the whole game without giving you the patch as a standalone installer. Having to download the whole game again and again can be a pain.
  12. Never, as this would mean I accept it, which I don't. ;P Well there's only one way to speak to developers/publishers. Stop buying on day one. Good luck convincing the rest of the world.
  13. It is an argument. Everyone should start getting used to it. Since internet became a mass thing games started being shipped with more and more bugs, because **** it, we can fix it later. I'm not saying it's right, I'm saying it's reality. Get used to it.
  14. I don't think they need your save. In the last 3 days I've seen at least 4 different thread about this problem with different abilities. It should be pretty much a known issue by now.
  15. On the contrary, it's filled with problems that make it more easy giving you free permanent stat bonuses.
  16. You have to try not to save and reload in any of the areas where you can recruit a party member. If the area has a building you can go inside and save there, for example.
  17. Have you even tried reading anything in this thread, or you just came in to throw a tantrum? I have and i came in to vent my frustration because i can't play the game as every saves my character became godlier. It's more than a week already. At least they make an official statement or update about the status of patching. I've never seen any company putting up a communication system to tell their customer that the next patch is XX% ready for release. Unrealistic, useless, pointless. They say they are doing their best and expect to hopefully release a patch before the end of the week. What else do you want? In this day and age it's really unrealistic to buy a game in the first few days of release and expect it to be working fine. Be patient and wait for them to work it out. Man. This is so much more annoying than the game being bugged. I paid 173$ 2 years ago, and I'm not here running around naked, shouting for getting it fixed ASAP because BUG SUX! This is the gaming industry. It sucks ass. Try to learn the lesson and not be fooled again.

  19. I've only used Dale Keeper II once, when I got stuck for throwing some items I needed later on at some point. I was really afraid of the program corrupting my characters to be honest... Nah, they were pretty robust.
