[BUG] Lose hair using the helmet hide toggle
dunehunter posted a question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
As topic, after wearing helm/hat and toggle the hide helmet button, lose my hair and become bold!! -
So in current beta version, are there any viable use case for sword + pistol style? In my run through it seems the character will only use his sword to attack, the pistol seems useless in offhand.

Lightning Strike + Eternal Devotion works really good together, as all +% damage in the games is an addition, while lash is a multipler. So to get high damage per hit u need both, Helwalker's high might provides the addiction, and Lightning Strike + Eternal Devotion gives the multiple, good combe/synergy here.

Monks need more early wound-spending options

Don't they have lightning fist from swift strike instead of flaming fist now? It would be OP if they have both. -
Removing non class specific talents was a bad idea
dunehunter replied to Boeroer's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
If a player thinks they need to take a few general talents for their build, even that means they haven't pick spells, its the choice made by ppls, and they shall be ALLOWED to do so. I really don't think your argument is very persuasive/reasonable here. It might be a newbie-trap, but thats all. -
Removing non class specific talents was a bad idea
dunehunter replied to Boeroer's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
For example, paladin have One passive talent 'Divine Purpose' which gives him/her 3 stats affliction resistance type, and then he/she need to spend another THREE talent to cover the other 3 stats affliction resist. Same as fighter, which have 'Determination' gives 3 stats affliction resistance. This kinda of talent design makes single class a lot inferior to multiclass, like why would I spend 4 talent points to cover my stats resistance when I can just do Paladin/Figher and just spend 2 talent points to do the same thing? -
Bleak walker misses Shared Flames talent
dunehunter posted a question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
Is this supposed to be so? If so then it should be listed in the class description, if not then its a bug. -

Yeah, wish we can just have a pool of general passive skills we can pick when we level up. -
Bleakwalker/Assassin seems to be a fun combo. Paladin got great defenses which helps them to survive and cheap affliction from Flame of devotion for sneak attacks. Doing great on both survive and killing. Backstab + Flame of devotion = One shot kill !! Deep Faith has good synergy with riposte too.

Can we think it this way, so every class has its main role and secondary role, while subclasses are aimed to change classes' 2nd roles, like a Bleak walker change paladins to Leader/damage dealer, Kind Wayfarers turn pal's into Leader/healer, Goldpact is Leader/tank focused, while shieldbearer for Leader/supporter. This makes sense to me if they design the subclasses this way.

As all subclasses are revealed, anyone feel disappointed at the Paladin and Priest subclasses? As all of them are same as POE 1, no new content is added to them. I myself was hoping we can choose Pallegina's paladin subclass in POE 2 because wraith of five sun is really cool but unfortunately that's still companion ONLY.

Solo vs Party
dunehunter replied to Stef's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Big advantage of soloing in bg series is that you level up much faster than partying, therefore, it's grant your 1) single class to access their HLA and high level spells earlier. 2) makes your multi class to pass their early period of weakness more easily. -
Still my favorite dragons are from Baldur's Gates/d&d because they are not only just big monsters, but more intelligent creature than human beings, like the red dragon firkraag has actually INT of 17 and is a kensai/Mage if I remember correctly it's just amazing to fight the dragons in bg2 because it's about both counter their brute force, and you have to also worry about their magic power. Think about a dragon who can cast mirror image and stoneskin! We need more caster type dragons in poe2 but I afraid it's against the setting of drakes in the games as dragons in Poe are not smart enough to cast any spells I guess

I really hate the weapon design in Diablo and Divinity:Origins, weapon with level limit and players cannot enhance its level is a lame idea. I really glad Poe1 have craft system to ensure the freedom for ppls to use whatever they like to wear and have a feeling the weapon grow with the main character.
