  1. If Donald Trump were just an ordinary government official undergoing security clearance, do you think he would receive it at this point? I have to think the answer would be "Hell no!".
  2. For less important dialogue entries, they could always turn to the Tim Allen school of grunting communication.
  3. Future engineer...
  4. DM mode: like four butterflies, our heroes emerge from a mysterious chrysalis state some time after being summoned to the site against their will. They find themselves in excellent health, but oddly enfeebled as if completely drained of power and experience.
  5. Not sure about the timing of when the Windows fix for this became available, but remember when people were turning off Windows Update in 2015 to avoid the automatic download of Win10? I wonder how many of those folks have now been hit by this cyberattack?
  6. A suitable ocean current could do it, similar to how the Gulf Stream keeps northern Europe warm.

  8. That isn't any issue. This game takes place years after the events of Eternity 1, regardless of how Eder (or anyone else) ends up, it won't be hard for Obsidian to come up with a reason for the three returning companions to all be visiting Caed Nua at the same time. It isn't like you aren't all old friends, and Caed Nua is located at a cross roads. Won't Edér and Pallegina get soul-sucked down to first level as well? That must mean they're at Caed Nua when the event happens. Heck, I'll bet that Edér sets things in motion, being a worshipper of Eothas.
  9. I wonder if there will be conditionals for specific types of injuries?
  10. Yes, I've been wondering how many of the enhancements in PoE2 will work their way back into PoE1. Maybe it'll be in a "Director's Cut"?
  11. Perhaps. As you start out as a firstie, they may want to have some low level adventures first before you reach the big city.
  12. Huh, my priest was a melee character and my rogue was ranged. Go figure.
  13. Closer to Viciona, which has an even stranger fan base that BruceVC is a part of. How so? They've both got white hair, but beyond that I don't see any real similarity. That said, I see even less similarity to Aerie. I suspect it's because Aerie exuded an air of innocence, whereas Viconia was clearly spawned by the dark side. From the perspective of those opposed to Animancy, Ydwin tampers with things "man was not meant to know". One suspects she may possess (or appear to possess) the taint of a corrupted soul. That may place her more in alignment with Viconia than Aerie. I couldn't see Aerie ever tampering with the undead, other than to permanently banish them from the material plane. Both were romanceable characters, which was my original supposition.
  14. Only if the voice-over is bad. If it's good it gives an extra dimention to the dialogue. It adds acting. It's not just voice. Also about the thing that voice-over doesen't let you change dialogue later on; this might be true to en extent, but the question is if we like the game to be voiced or not, not if we think Obsidian could manage it. You can have both if you know what you're doing. New Vegas was fully voiced and still had a huge number of dialogue lines and of great quality. I didn't see any problem there. I skipped through the voice-overs in FO:NV as well...
  15. I love that look the cat gives the human right at the end. "Hey, what are you trying to pull here?"
  16. Once I have a sense for the voice, I usually end up skipping through the text as fast as I can read it anyway. Waiting for the words to be spoken when the text is available gets tedious.
  17. About right too...
  18. One example only serves to show how not to do it. There are cRPG games that implemented multi-player just fine without impacting the single-player experience.
