Torment: Tides of Numenera
Yeah its the Bioware travelling circus all over again. have you been on the BSN? it is quite possibly one of the most disgusting places on the internet...I feel less bad about being a part of the human race watching holocaust slideshows than I do whenever i venture into that sh*t hole.

What should a female breastplate really look like
Yup. Who wants to wear all that armor outside of a more formalized battlefield? Wandering the forest swamp, hiking through the mountain passages, trying to sneak around in a dungeon. Probably can't climb a tree to get a bearing on your surroundings...not for me. ...but full plate does look cool/awesome, especially some of the crazier/wilder designs. I tend to lean more on the aesthetic/fantasy side of things myself when it comes to heavy armors. I've seen some beautiful designs, impractical of course, but which would look great in some ceremony or on some extra-planar being or in a super high fantasy setting were trudging through swamps would be too passe...

What should a female breastplate really look like
god everytime I see full plate armor i realize how ridiculous it not only looks but is for any adventurer to wear such nonsense while out in the field for weeks on end or dungeon diving...doubly so for females. I mean, weight aside you would likely die of heatsroke or dehydration long before a goblin can stick his spear through your visor. A breast plate, AT MOST is the heaviest piece of armor anyone should carry unless they are a palace guard or gearing up for a single anticipated battle. Cadegund is losing that metal skin and donning some boiled leather or light chainmail while in my party...hell, that damn musket of hers is already pretty suspect in the functionality department.

In-game achievements, trophies, popups etc
NerdBoner replied to poetic obsidian's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)"trophies and achievements" are the stupidest thing to come out of modern gaming...I don't need some silly announcement to make me feel good about wasting my life doing something i already enjoy.

Drunk girl rambles
Kinda late to the party, as you said, but welcome nonetheless...also, I'm sure all your points have been brought up millionsseveral times already, so find comfort in the knowledge that the developers are aware of these issues (it has been over a decade and technology has advanced after all). also, since you were wicked/decadent/lax in your awareness of project eternity's Kickstarter you can at least help promote the resurgence of monocled cRPG's by taking a gander at the Torment Kickstarter http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inxile/torment-tides-of-numenera which is currently underway and doing fabulously. happy gaming.

Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues
there are a plethora of better games out there that cater to such base, un-monocled desires...Guild Wars 2 for example, I hear is excellent in this regard and all you have to do is buy the game, no subscription.

Torment: Tides of Numenera?
jeez, i think they'll break 2mil by the end of the night...that's just crazy. I wish their stretch goals were a bit more inspired though; or at least catering towards our baser nature as rpg'rs. you sound like some whiny fanboy who didn't get his way. if the success of a game paying homage to its "spiritual predescessor" bothers you so much, maybe you need to focus that energy on something that doesn't devastate your butthole so fervently.

Torment: Tides of Numenera?
that poor bastard must be crapping out broken glass right about now... kickstarter fatigue indeed.

Torment: Tides of Numenera?
Project:Eternity, Shadowrun Returns, Wasteland 2, Torment; Tides of Numenera... ho boy, thas a whole lotta cRPG'n in my future

Torment: Tides of Numenera?
really glad this is going well...I'm excited not only for a new Torment game but the prospect of seeing the Numenera setting come to life. May it be the first of many.

Wondrous Items in Project Eternity
I'd like an item, let's say a sphere, that allows me to capture a creature that I brought down to a near death state... Then I'd train that creature over the course of our adventures... I'd use it in battle by throwing the sphere, causing it to burst open with the summoned monster! through our adventures together the creature would grow to love and trust me too!!! we might even meet other adventurer's with similar spheres who have their own monsters...wow...I really think i'm onto something here.

The good, bad, and the ugly in Infinity Engine games
I can only play BG1 and 2 with mods; combat, graphical and a few lite content mods to flesh out and connect the story better...when played that way its a much different/better experience. IWD1 is fine but I play with the NPC mod because i'm a story ****. IWD2 i again play with the NPC mod that was made for it, again because I am a storyfag...I just like having my companions comment on the world and the **** we get into as we adventure. PS:T, aside from the resolution mod and i think a fix pack or tweaks to polish it out is perfect as is.

Update #44: The Rules of (Melee) Engagement
I like the idea behind this mechanic...just make sure it takes spellcasting and other "interuptible actions" into account so that it doesn't become an exploit. Otherwise I can easily see fighters being used as casting disruptors just by "engaging" without even having to swing their weapons.

No new New Vegas thanks!
i'm going to go out on a limb and say Fallout 3 was the first you ever even heard of the series.
