  1. we would need more of "official" gameplay, but certainly skills and skill checks are not a big deal in the game, as otherwise we would have them in the demo presentation in some form other than mentioned in the crafting screen, considering how close it is to the release (less than 6 months)
  2. What the hell is this new Ghost Recon....
  3. There is still Arma if you want slower paced and more methodical military shooter... Haven't ever tried America's Army, but I would expect to be fairly similar to Arma. It's true that the genre now will be missing a squad command game that Rainbow Six was filling nicely...
  4. Well I would be surprised that the one who saved from Reapers threat would not be mentioned anywhere. We -MIGHT- get something that will tell us to select what ending it was and what kind of commander we ran, but that's it... the game is purposely set in the future so it can be a blank state and they can fit whatever background there was and undo it with a few lines of flavor text into the same clean slate in the new galaxy... Remember how our choices from ME were meaningless when it came to ME3? (aside of which companion died).. there was always same councilor, there was always that bug mission, etc.
  5. Shooters dont have skill checks... look how Mass Effect "evolved"... first had skill lines to dialog and encryption etc. second had simplified minigames, third was all about shooting and all non-combat skills and activities were removed... Expect similar approach to skills like you had in Skyrim with its skill trees, the difference is that now it is called perk chart.
  6. I hope the gameplay will be good. It probably wont enter competition against CS:GO yet, but in some future, who knows. we might have another competitive shooter if its gameplay, maps and balance will be nice
  7. No Shepard's story is done and done... it will take place well in the future, but there might be references to our commander. It is perfect chance for a new opening with new stories and protagonists.
  8. Anno 2205 looks interesting in concept
  9. there are no skills... there are perk charts.... so we will have something similar to Skyrim trees, but you will allocate points on level ups instead of leveling up by doing the activity... (UNLESS they decided to move into learning by doing in this game too and you will have separate XP ranks for each tree in the perk chart)
  10. would like to know more about it.....
  11. BTW is CA at E3? I really want to see more of TW:Warhammer footage
  12. any more details on that? I was thinking about some experiment with gates going wrong and sending an exploration vessel into another galaxy.... so what is the premise? anyone?
  13. So far the only game worth mentioning is the new Doom, awaiting for more info about Battlefront, but so far it's been meh... and obviously the XCOM2 is a must buy, but I am not sure if it will be presented on twitch. FO4 is a major let down... aside of the build your own base feature every other piece of news has been pasted in brown smelly mass... I was hoping for improvements into FO:NV formula and instead we get even more streamlined post apocalyptic shooter. any other game shown so far I am not interested at all.... even with the TESO account, seeing their neglect to PvP is made me put that away some months ago. The XBOX conference revealed Dark Souls 3, which hopefully will be ported at some point to PC. waiting for more info...
  14. even if they have a shot at in between Fallout in the West/Central USA, they will need to keep the features of the Fallout 4, unless it will have **** sales and be considered not a good game... Based on how Skyrim sold I doubt Fallout 4 will do poorly... so expect the dialog wheel and no-skill system to stay...
  15. well we can always just have a minute of silence in honor of Fallout that we had and that passed away in tragic circumstances. I guess I am simply getting too old and don't get the humor and the NewAge RPGs... at least there are still strategy games and competitive games like Starcraft and DotA
  16. Yeah, I am also hyped for the XCom 2
  17. After re-watching the presentation it strikes me pretty obvious that while there will be S.P.E.C.I.A.L it will have very limited influence on our gameplay. There seem to be no skills, but we will get a modified "perk tree", something similar to Skyrim trees, but instead of auto-levels you will assign a sub-perk that will most likely drive your overall perk rank in given field (for example science) GOTY bargain deal at -75% confirmed.... if at all...
  18. to be honest i was hyped the most by the new Doom. other games were ranging from uninterested, to "meh" to disappointment. The new Doom looks good though, from the features alone (even though from gameplay demo it looked like enhanced corridor shooter with some cool extended battlegrounds)
  19. Probably some bargain Steam Sale at -75% GOTY edition with all the DLCs 2-3 years after the release... Will not waste money on something which I will probably play not more than couple of hours and forget about it. Unless for some reason they will create super good narrative and go far with quest designs like the Witcher 3 did, then I do not see buying it at full price. For FPS I will go for StarWars Battlefront, if it will turn out to be good.
  20. Aren't you looking forward to using your iPhone to control the Pipboy!? No.... I use Samsung
  21. and ultimately if the gameplay will be bland and it will suffer on the field of RPG, story telling and quest designs, it will all be pointless....
  22. meh, not really hyped about the game... the feature of building own bases with defenses is cool, but from what I got from the presentations is that the game is even more action oriented than the previous title.... i mean there is still that stupid fat man launcher, and now we will have power armors with jet packs.... I am fairly sure it ultimately will be as boring as Skyrim....
  23. OMG I just imagined a female transformer as a food truck or a big Oven ;P
  24. Just to remind: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, article 11, states: "Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law in a public trial at which he has had all the guarantees necessary for his defence.". and in case of US: the 5th, 6th, and 14th amendments .. I despise people who "rape", I am all in for severe punishments going as far as chemical castration, BUT it has to be done properly, without breaking the basic principles of human rights. Bringing examples of backwater muslim countries is not helping the case. We already know there are a lot of human rights violations there. If you are so concerned about situation there, go and help them out THERE, instead of highlighting the issues from those countries as means to validate completely unrelated issues on the "homeground" of societies which highly value basic freedoms and human rights.
  25. the thing is, it is not the word situation, where you could raise doubts.. there are text msgs involved, right?
