  1. I can have conversations with police officers without commuting a crime and getting arrested. You know, like, when they're off duty? Maaan you are waaaay too serious... @Gfted1 By IDF you mean Israeli Defense Force? I recall some being nice, but I did not go to Israel myself... there are later some issues when you try to get into other countries in the region if customs officers see you have Israeli visa... I was considering doing so and then getting a new passport afterwards though.
  2. Well, if anyone thought that Greece will get free money, they were out of their minds, also the PM of Greece, while in talks, got the nice outlook what will happen economically to his country in short term if he will decide to refuse the conditions... there is a lot of price to be paid in terms of internal politics if suddenly you will get all kinds of governmental people getting cut off from money as the state is bankrupt... that cost outweighted the 'NO', the conditions are slightly different (they will get a new plan to adhere too, instead of the old one, but that would get changed anyway cause last one was not good enough) and now they gave like 50bil EUR in assets to fund the debt (EU custodians of these assets will privatize them, i.e. sell to some EU companies). The Greek PM got his time to delay some things, but if he will not force the changes, the next batch is not coming, by that point EU will get prepared for Greek-exit. Now it was somewhat surprising for the EU officials that Greece was willing to go balls to the wall, but next time they will be ready and will say to them, "Bon voyage" and wave them off
  3. Obviously to have some conversation with the officer, right?
  4. I was thinking about supporting SR during Kickstarter, but decided to wait and see (I already had a few games on KS portfolio that were yet to be released and none ready). Now I do have original Syndicate on Origin (the only recent game released there that is actually worth playing and an EA owned title, same with Theme Hospital), and there is one thing in that game that I found missing after all these years of gaming and being spoiled by dumbed down games... I wanted some sort of AI behavior that you could set up, so you would be more focused on positioning them than on aiming and firing. How is the SR gameplay. Do you have a link to some good Lets Play series? I'd like to check the gameplay before buying it.
  5. by this police officer? https://instagram.com/lyudmila_milevich/ I know I would consider committing a crime with her nearby :D It apparently is a police officer in Kiev, Ukraine. I've seen some attractive ones on road patrol in Poland too, while i got a speeding ticket (LUCKY ME). I failed to get similar experiences in other EU countries and sure as hell I avoid any contact with the Police in crazy US or even less crazy Canada. I think I've seen some nice looking ones in Russia in Moscow, but it looked more like models event than actual police patrol (shades and too short shorts) so cannot qualify them in the same category.
  6. Since you will have voiced.protagonist and dialog wheel like ME it was already leaning towards being constricting.
  7. On the one hand i like the premise, on the other hand i expect yet another boring cover based shooter with a lot of various things to bang after a few cheesee line of dialog.
  8. ^ I laughed at the vid, but he got some merit to it
  9. He is an important figure in internet history. Never heard of him, so probably not even a footnote...
  10. Teenagers, technically. Somehow is easier for me to believe that 12 years olds are more capable of murder than 6 years old. Probably because some of the ones I've met are very keen on stabbing people. Probably it's all those bad video games that made those teens so voilent...
  11. I wonder. Do Brits want their 13 colonies back? I am not sure it was legal to break off by some crazy people back in the time. Hating tea is not good enough reason one would think...
  12. And I always thought that playboy is about those jokes sections... But in all seriousness, TW3 has best written quests in all action FP/TP 3D RPGs up to date. The amount of detail tha carries over, the pacing, the more interesting quests like red baron etc. Sure it has boobies and sex scenes but at least it does better job at them than Bioware attempts in that section.
  13. Yes, being kept in solitary. and how is that a violation of human rights? if someone is dangerous -OR- there is a particular concern for the safety of the prisoner, then solitary cell is the best method of punishment.
  14. Oh this is golden :D Norway, how not to laugh from you and your laws... once a land of dreaded vikings now a land of bending p.... sissies.... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/norway/11406616/Mass-murderer-Breivik-to-sue-Norway-over-prison-conditions.html
  15. you know that the best way to counteract attention ho' and trolls is to simply ignore them? seriously.... learn from the industry... they ignore the ramblings of some retard...
  16. The point is, I have no idea how the fatass Kardashian ever got to the spotlight other than made celebrity by money to get initial exposure...
  17. There is a difference in acknowledging that the woman is hot (because she is, I would have to be some blind F...) and creating buzz words like "blowing up the internet", etc. because she is not THAT hot. It seems that someone is in dire need of new flesh in celebrity production section, and a nice ass will always fit... on a sidenote, i find it funny that no SJWs posted how the video footage treated this girl like an object, etc
  18. They were forced to release their currency from 1:1 ratio to US dollar... their currency plummet like a nose diving crashing plane, but then they recovered and they even started to get budget surpluses. They were able to negotiate the debt cuts as far as 60-70% with their creditors and in the overall looked much better at the end of the process than what they were at the time of declaring bankruptcy. Greece might follow the same scenario... how will it develop it is entirely to the Greek people. You need to live with the consequences of your choices. If you chose to cheat and abuse for short term gains, now you have to deal with the outcomes. Also, forcing EU countries to pour funds into Greece is only pissing off the new members, where in some cases people get 400-500EUR a month and yet their governments need to participate in aiding the "richer" cheaters Greeks. Rich countries like Germany also have issues with spending more money there, as there comes a point where you need to weight gains vs losses, not only economical but also political, including domestic politics, which shape what governments are at the steering wheel of the EU. Cutting off one burden will help and will also show other countries, that there are reasons why you should adhere to the convergence regulations and follow them. it is also a warning to people who like to follow populists with catchy phrases and ideas, that are very costly and applying a heavy burden on the budgets. Getting in debt spirals deeper and deeper is bad and eventually creditors call out "check"...
  19. I have seen some really informed people suggesting that Greece should leave the EU as people are tired of there intransigence and lack of compliance with austerity. But for me Greece leaving the EU would effectively crash there banking institutions and who would now lend them money? You can forget the IMF as they owe them billions..maybe the BRICS bank but Greece would be considered a high risk and dishonest in its payment strategy. So Greece leaving the EU could devastate there economy to a point where they may spend 15-20 years recovering from it. Its a huge deal and really needs to be avoided Nope, look at notorious bankrupt Argentina... or even at the frigging Iceland (even though it is smaller). Bankrupcy will not devastate their economy for 20 years, in fact, it actually might help them out in the long run. Sure first 1-2 years will be bad, BUT, their tourism will becoame more affordable and attractive to even more people, their new/old currency will help their export and bring the economic growth, probably in the 2nd year, and will drive their economy up. People will actually have to work, instead of sitting in various governmental parasite institutions, and thus in the long run their workforce might become more competitive. Bankruptcy is not the end of the world for a country. Sure, you will always be viewed on the market a bit higher risk, and pay extra %s on your future bonds, but that's basically it. You just need to be smart about it. (I do not really have time to get all the data about Argentina and verify every bit of it, but they surely turned around their last bankruptcy into an overall better situation than it was before that)
  20. Well... there has been in recent years a notion of nationalism spirit rising and mostly due to how bad immigrants from other regions of the world are at integrating into local populations and how noisy they are about getting new privileges while at the same time not respecting local culture and cultural background. It might be less of a case in countries like Canada, which exist for around 140 years or US which is barely 230years old and are basically a melting pot of immigrants from various parts of the world, but when you look at countries like UK, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy, Greece, etc. which all have at least, I say at least 1000years of cultural development and are proud of their history, while at the same time there still remain demons of previous wars somewhere in the back of the minds of EU citizens. The Greek problem is the one, where the government CHEATED and FORGED official statistics, just to get to the EURO zone (do not confuse it into European Union). I have little regrets for them. If their own citizens do not want to pay taxes (tax evasion is there treated like a national hobby) and they want to have huge governmental benefits, then you dig yourself own grave. Greece leaving EU at this point would do everyone good. a) you would stop wasting money of EU taxpayers and stop pissing off people from those countries, especially the new members. b) they could follow the Argentina's route, so while the first 1-2 years would be extremely painful, their economy could grow in the next years, and they are definitely better and safer destination for tourists than lets say North African Countries at this point, so their tourism would still bring them a lot of money. I am more afraid of a possibility of UK leaving EU, because that WILL have a major impact on the whole EU economy. Greeks, not so much, they have no notable industry or financial markets that would shake the EU. BTW, the Greeks are basically going to vote, if they want to stay in EUR zone and endure more cuts or not (and go bankrupt, but that's something they will not include in the poll). Obviously, since we know that democracy is the rule of stupid, most Greeks will probably vote for a separation, although I would not be surprised if when the threat reaches their wallets, they might actually start to count properly. They already have right now a first taste of what is to come, with the limitations on the cash withdrawals to 60 EUR a day, etc.
  21. ehmm, so I guess your girl friend/wife is hotter? prove it 1st - I value privacy of people I date with, so no pictures for internet etc. 2nd - get out of the basement and start traveling...
  22. In most lucrative sports salaries of best athletes are higher than 15M USD. And those who success in "world finals" usually get (possibly even tens of) millions of dollars worth advertisement deals addition to their salaries. So popular esports have become quite lucrative, but it is still far from level where some traditional sports are. Well sure, that it has long ways to go if you compare it to the things like: Football, Basketball, American Eggball, Hockey, Baseball and Box. It sure does need "celebrity" status personas for more marketable exposure, and probably this is the one field where this kind of entertainment will struggle for a time, but the question is, will it remain as is, or grow when looking that 10-20yrs into the future. After all each discipline started up as a hobby, which was later getting better organized. Another point is - How many people you have playing computer games and competing in that environment vs competing in traditional disciplines like football? If the technology will get even more affordable and widespread I can see a possibility of esports getting even more traction. To put things in perspective - 10-12 years ago, you would have tournaments for a box of bear or something like 1k USD/EUR at most also a quote from one of DotA2 related sites: EDIT: Just to avoid confusion - FIFA CLUB World Cup is not the same in prestige and scope as the FIFA World Cup, which hosts national teams and has a prizepool of around 550-600mln USD
  23. Over a year ago I've created a following thread, about Valve's movie and some story behind one of the branches of e-sports It seems that it is still getting bigger. After last years nearly 11mil prizepool, this years The International in August will have 15+million USD in prizepool money, and that's just DotA 2 event. There are also other events, and recently one of the organizers, ESL, got 76% of its shares acquired by Swedish multimedia company MTG for over 76mil EUR. ESL organized in last couple of years such events as: Intel Extreme Masters (LoL, SC2, CS:GO) ESL Frankfurt (DotA 2): (both videos are from last year, 2015 had even greater scope in both cases) I personally wonder, will this type of competition become as popular as "main stream" competitions? I mean, prizepool money wise, which sports put 15mil USD of prizepool into their "world finals" at this point? Can this be in 10-20 years on par with regular sports in terms of exposure, or will it remain a considerable market, but won't make it into mainstream media? Last year I recall one of ESPN channels was transmitting DotA2 finals of The International 4, and one of the points for doing so, was the amount of money in the prizepool, the second point was probably to scope how popular this entertainment is as of now. What do you guys think?
  24. TW3... not even in the same league... To this day i cannot force myself to load up a save and finish the damned game... I'd rather play TES:O than put any more time in that boring game called DA:I
