  1. No we don't. That would just make it mandatory and totally kill the purpose for enemies to have these in the first place. And I'm saying this as someone who fought SO how many times you had to reload and did it not come to you that the time you won, you were lucky on some RNG?
  2. On a one hand I'd love to play the D&D game again, on the other hand, this game deviates too far from the D&D game to be considered one... Why did they have to butcher the D&D combat and create some Diablosque/MMO CoolDown based one? It would be better if they would not use the D&D franchise for it. just sayin'
  3. hah, the more I think about it, ti would be actually funny, if you would be a captain of a ship and the ship would be your stronghold, while you would travel to some port cities for hub areas that would then lead to some other inland maps.
  4. To be honest, this will end up badly... well it was nice while it lasted these few hundred years, but it seems that the European culture will fall same as after few hundred of years Rome fell to migrating nations. History likes to run circles so it seems... If it was up to me, I would send them to education camps: 1) learn language 2) find work be employed consecutively for the next 3 years while also attending history and language classes. If not, pack that person and the whole family back to Syria... BTW. I am less annoyed by the migration situation and more pissed off by the stupid US politics in the last 20 years in the Middle East and North Africa that led to this whole crisis... Idiots were so ignorant and so full of the "bright" idea of forcing democracy on the culture that hates is, that now we have all this chaos... Imagine if ME and NA was left alone and we would still have dictatorships over there... No problems in Iraq, Libia, Syria, etc... But the Israeli lobby was strong in US in the last 60 years and now we have this MiddleEast crisis... and it will only get worse since more and more radicals are waking up in countries like Jordan and Saudi Arabia... As stupid as it sounds right now, but ISIS might achieve some of its goals and create new body... Just because it's ugly it does not mean it won;t succeed... All revolutions were bloody and ugly... French revolution, Bolshevik revolution, Chinese revolution etc. Again, the best thing would be, not to let those people in, get them settle stuff in the ME between themselves and close off borders for the next 100-200 years, and for what that is sane and logic... stop destabilizing the region by your odd ideas of democracy... those people do not want that, they want strong monarchy or dictatorship. That is all they know for the last at least 4000 years... stop messing with that!!! they need to evolve themselves to the point of appreciating features of democracy, tolreance, etc as nations.
  5. Rendering sex is a waste of resources. There are plenty of waifu games without Obsidian making one. Especially on the models scale being used in these games...
  6. Yay so finally we will have all classes. I just wish Devil was easier to access.
  7. IIRC White March part 2 will be the last xpac for PoE and they are moving onto PoE2, right?
  8. Something set between Vallian republics and Ruatai can be fun. I would love to see the whole map of Eora before making the decision though.
  9. well I would have to spoil it a bit, but if I am correct the dwarves of Durgan Battery are neither Mountain nor Boreal dwarves, hence probably not that much dialog options.
  10. The issue i have with poe is that on order to beat them you need to have very good gear and once you beat them for some loot there is really nothing worthy after that. In BG the bosses were hard, required some meta knowledge and some levels (GL beating Kagnaxx the first time around without prior knowledge in BG2 or DGangsta in ToB) but they were not brokenly OP (wepl.maybe DG was). Here not only.they have huge AoEs, but they also have a lot of adds and you cannot prebuff.and you have no items that grant you immunitiee or spells granting immunities... buffing is cool but even a graze charm or petrification can destroy your plan
  11. Level 9 is a good spot to go there. I personally head there at around level 7 to pick up new companions. There is one boss which you might want to wait until level 12+ though
  12. There is no way you can do wm on level 5. Level 7-8 is when you want to get there and even then it is not a piece of cake... On level 5 you might get through the first area if you will be smart and pick a fairly safe route to the boss and kill him but further than that you will get your ass handed to you by fishmen or constructs or even larger packs of ogres
  13. I am cool with the way it is now... go to some areas too early and you get your ass handed too you. Go to other areas late, when you became powerful, and enjoy your power by kicking ass... I despise level.scaling. I won't mind a few extra enemies or swapping some creatures to elder type but other than that i want to feel powerful if i.managed to complete more difficult side content.
  14. And a fighter can't survive keeping 5 enemies that would be a threat to the rest of the party on themself. Nor is their much point to doing so, unless you literally only have a single frontliner. It's not just about surviving, but it's about controlling the enemy and locking them in place. Locking that many enemies it places is great for me since I like to use a lot of AoE CC spells. Meh, enemies post 2.0 have a nack for disengaging and making a beeline for your spellcasters. This i can agree on, on hard and up they seem to disregard the engagement a bit too much. On normal it works well.
  15. Not in the first part. This one will feature: Empire Dwarfen kingdoms Vampire Counts Orcs still unknown in what capacity chaos will be presented, but probably not playable hordes and in game events.
  16. ehh... you miss out so many various fighter abilities.... Ok for tank: Class: Critical defense Upg. Defender (active all time) Into the Fray (per encounter single target pull with crushing dmg type) Knockdown (x2) Unbroken (per encounter ability, that if for whatever reason your tank falls he gets up, buffed up) Vigorous defense (per encounter extra 20 def to all def stats, activate when it matters) General: Weapon and shield Superior deflection +10 fort +10 will +10 reflex you top that with items that have active skills like ring of suppression and boost overall defense stats and this guy sports around 100 in def, fort, ref and 90 will, without any non modals + he sports good accuracy (mine has at level 12 around 70) so he makes sure that enemy thinks before breaking engagement + he can have two weapon/shield combinations depending on the foes... get two of these guys and there is NOTHING that will break that line (except two dragons) Highest dmg output registered was around 50, with consistent 10-30s depending on the foe More Combat oriented/CC oriented melee DPS: Class: Armored Grace Clear out (huge cone AoE CC active, the bad parts about it are 1 - it's melee, 2 it's 2x per rest, if it was per encounter it would be godly) Confident Aim Critical Defense KD (x2) Weapon spec Weapon mastery General: Weapon focus (two handed) Envenomed strike Vulnerable attack (vs high DR) Bloody Slaughter This guy has not so great passive defenses, but his role is second line / support melee + consistent DPS, in my experience he goes well with pikes and other far reach weapons He has accuracy in 70s-80s but with two handed weapons he can deal nice dmg while wearing good armor with some more than decent DR. Give him nice Might and Int and he will deliver. Highest dmg output registered was around 80, with consistent 30-50s depending on the foe Ranged DPS: this is a bit gimmiky build but it is good enough to think of it with weapons like Arbalest (my fav - cause of inflicting prone on hit) or Arquebus (second fav - cause of DR bypass) Give them good Per, Dex and decent Might and Int and they do well enough Class skills: Armored Grace Disciplined Barrage (short term accuracy buff for key targets, the sad part is it is only 1 per enc... i wish there could be more) Crit defense Confident aim Vigorous defense (for this time when you see that you are about to be targeted by some spellcasters OR you are getting engaged in melee and you need to switch to back up dual wield for high interrupts until your CC spec companions will get them off you) Weapon Spec Weapon Mastery General skills: Weapon focus Gunner Marksman Penetrating shot (for those high DR enemies) Two weapon style (for back up situations so you can get mad dual wield with high interrupt chance and good accuracy) This guy has good passive defenses and can wear heavier armor and still have good action speed. If you would have a chanter to help with these heavy ranged weapons this guy just goes crazy Highest dmg output registered was around 80, with consistent 30-50s depending on the foe) To Sum up: While they do not have amazing skillset they have good passives and fairly well actives, I would not mind seeing +1 to vig defense and disciplined barrage and changing clear to per encounter ability to make them really good, but they still work. Itemize them well and they go beast mode... I mean the group of 2+2+2 went crazy at level 7 on the White March. You just make sure that you will get good items and you might consider different primary weapon choices for really BiS items, but i was happy with this experiment. You can always help yourself with potions, scrolls and traps (get high lore decent survival, athletics and give one guy focus on mechanics). Fights get longer than in case of mixed parties with spellcasters, but you don't have to rest after every second encounter, you basically need to rest before boss fights (if you have used some per rest abilities before) or once your HP pools get into red. There are still some skills I missed out and was not sure if to put in or not, like unbending, extra KD, etc. but again it is all about the playstyle you are going for with the given fighter. (for example I would put unbending on the two handed melee fighter to offset his lower deflection)
  17. I can only hope that they will make it good enough... They added a lot of new 3D skeletons and animations, etc. one of the reasons why on the release we will get only 4 races with some subfactions (?), and no sea combat, and the whole package will be released over 3 games, which each will be expanding on the playable map and races, which are rumored to reach the full 15 or even 16. I HOPE that they are able to pull it off as I love both Warhammer and Warhammer 40k franchise and a big part of me suffers knowing that there is no good RPG in any of them (looks hopefully at Obsidian)
  18. Blame GW for no mod support for this title
  19. I don't know... it gets kinda of tricky when yo move to 20th century... it's an era of dominant artilery, air force and mechanized units... the trench wars of WW I do not really look too appealing. The last Samurai in the Shogun 2 is the fine border IMO and even there I thought that some arty units and off map bombard calls start to be a bit too strong and take away from the tactical gameplay. lets see how they can pull off the flying units, "magic bombardment" and various logn range arty, and mechanized units in small amounts in the TW:Warhammer title. If it will be running nicely I won't mind if they would try the WW I era, but it will completely shift the balance on the units level on the battlefield.
  20. well from the in engine we can expect the types of terrain, and general unit models (just not all animations) also the level of polish and filter are better than what you will see in the final game, but I like that there seem to be underground battle map and what's more i loved the fortress that was shown there. it was like three layers of walls so siege battle can be interesting. Obviously the difference between the game and the trailer will be similar to what you saw between black pass in-engine trailer and gameplay footage at the least.
  21. Well, the party of 6 Boreal dwarf fighters is rocking anything on their path except 2 boss dragons on normal. I do not have to use any scrolls or potions, sometimes I use a ring of affliction suppression but that's it. If I would care to improve enchantments and use scrolls I would probably kill dragons too, and probably be able to go through hard as well, given some rest spamming. WM was a breeze, Endless path even easier, now just to move story to one point and go to that Tower introduced with WM expansion. Maybe there could be some challenge. only real challenges were the bounty fights and again Dragons which i chose to not fight for now. Maybe at some point before the end game I will go back and spam scrolls and summons to kill them, but so far.. not really feeling like it. Fighters are viable in all roles. Give them some lore too and they can be pocket mage with some scrolls.
  22. Fighters only weakness is lack of per encounter AoE CC... they can deal good reliable dmg and they can tank, they can cc single target enemies. I have a party of 6 dwarf fighters (albeit on normal) and they breeze through everything. 2 sword and board heavy armor front liners. Two pike and greatsword medium armor melee DPS on second line and 2 ranged light armor arbalest wielding ranged fighters. The only problem I have are the dragon fights. I cannot tackle them with this squad due to lack of reliable CC unless I would spam scrolls and fast AoE clearing abilities (scrolls again), but any other content they just breeze through with the right positioning. I entered WM with them at lvl 7 and they just stormed through it. Entered Endless Paths and so far, until lvl 9, no resistance. I assume it would get a bit harder and force me to use food, potions and summons more often on hard, with more rest spam, but it would still be probably doable. You just need to build them skill wise and stat wise differently. 6 Dwarven fighters is fun to play.
