  1. To be honest I like how it is. There is no point to more engaged targets if you can't hit them and they ignore you.... you still get + to other defenses with additional perk, so yeah. seems good to me.
  2. I mean, I have no issue with ghosts or xaurip skirmishers or spellcasters... ghosts need to be in melee, spellcasters have cast time, wail has limited aoe which you can counter via spacing and is not spammed every round. xaurips are also melee and can be body blocked.... but the damned ranged dart blowers are just annoying me to no end, as you cannot body block them, they have high rate of fire (and even a graze will paralyze for those 2 precious seconds) and they change targets as soon as they will paralyze one... I do not recall such annoyances in BG or IWD series and boy there were some really powerful monsters, but you could counteract on the spot or even pre-buff or itemize for such effects, not to mention special class abilities that could make you immune to some effects. On the first play, just after the release I was a bit annoyed by ghosts mainly, and a certain boss, but that's it. With the new version and especially WM content, I think someone at Obsidian went overboard, without giving proper counters... It can be done, but it is basically reliance on pulling enemy around a cornenr so they stack up on themselves and then dropping some mass AoE CC spells there and cleaning it up... it is NOT FUN, it is more of a chore, that relies on RNG that the guy pulling enemies will not get stunned, paralyzed etc on the first attack and has fast movement...
  3. By deflecting the British Empire's treatment of aboriginals to an unrelated topic. Well if you do not like it you can always move out from Australia, North America, South Africa, w/e, and give back the land and governing authority to the native populace... Just sayin'... i.e. stop being hypocrites, slavery was a part of economic development throughout the history. Without it there would be no modern South Africa, Australia, USA, Canada, Arabic countries, etc. To be honest Europeans actually were fairly conservative in the slavery practices when comparing to cultures of middle ages and renaissance in middle east and South America, and certainly more restrained to what was part of the culture in ancient times.. Slavery is not something that was limited to Europeans. It was present in every part of the world in all the cultures, throughout the millenia. Some slaves worked, some ware sacrificed, some were kept for entertainment or sexual service. Now in modern capitalizm and globalization you get "wage slaves" a massive amount of people working on hourly wage jobs, who barely make minimum to buy food and pay off rent and gets some clothes, constantly living from payday to payday with no savings and little to no free time, while they have to provide services to better situated people with a happy smile.
  4. Volo my family is from Britain but I was born in SA What I always find interesting is how little credit the UK gets for all it did for the world, we brought civilization to dark continents and exported things like Tea. We created roads and institutions and yet all people remember is "colonialism " ....its like thats all that matters Aren't you thankful to the UK ? Without UK there would be no USA Correct. The funny thing is the British are there own worst enemies and don't like to acknowledge all the good they did in the world ...its like they feel guilty ? Nah its just the British weather making them feel miserable and antsy all the time

  6. Rather disappointed no one tweeted that always popular PA move of "citation needed" at her, tsk, what has Twitter come to. Good to see Wu is as batty as ever. Looking at this tweet i am not sure if i should laugh or cry over this poor stupid girl... i mean, i understand that vast majority of pre 30 NA people have near 0 knowledge on history and world geography but at least read something if you want to comment otherwise you just prove you are ignorant and/or stupid person that has no idea about a topic at hand... Poland in the 1920-1939 was much different from the one in 1100-1200s... As for ms. Wu i thought we stopped giving attention to crazy people same as we pass all the crazy hobos o the streets...
  7. The problem with them is that they have have those ranged dart blowers with very fast attack rate and paralyze on hit, so it is kind of hard to even position yourself that the only one affected is the tank and you get cast spells from safety and blow them up or control them. they just go from one target to another and paralyze the whole team in like 3 rounds (there are usually 3-5 per encounter). Spells you can get away from AoE range with some party members, xaurips are melee range. Suppress Affliction seems worthless at this level as you still get paralyzed, even if you cast it as the first spell on the party, so it still leads to full party paralyze death. It simply feels I am there too early in the game, and the difficulty of traps and locks seems to confirm that. I am a bit sad, as I wanted to get new companions ASAP and do the story content with them, but it seems I will have to get 4 more levels before going there, which is quite a few quests to be done without them.
  8. I think this is a bit overdone... I've entered the White March and i am getting perma paralyzed.... supress affliction does not work, protection from restrain also does not work. how the hell are you able to go past them... I mean, i like challenge, but without means to counteract i rely more on some RNGesus helping me out to not get paralyzed on every attack.... a pack of three L - fishmen can effectively paralyze my party of 6 and there is nothing i can do to counteract this... their attack rate is also rather fast for what they do... Any ideas? I have a mage PC, Eder, Pallegina, Durance, Hiravias, and GM... all level 6 now
  9. 1st This made me chuckle a bit... it is either a really funny fake, or she is so naive, that's simply super funny... https://ca.news.yahoo.com/blogs/daily-buzz/pregnant-french-tourist-reaches-out-to-internet-to-172926385.html 2nd... Take that feminizm :D https://ca.news.yahoo.com/this-california-law-is-helping-men-213035804.html
  10. The only thing that might cause problems is if the Trials of Iron does not produce a pre-pit save game as a separate save. I assume it does not. For the ppl playing this mode there could have been a warning about the possibility that they may lose an automatic save on the final chapter, but then again these people are willingly taking this mode and they take into consideration that they might restart the game a few times. I mean i would assume that they would like to check if they can beat the whole game on the updated balance rules too... so they would have no problem with starting a new game. Other people have a save from before the end-game as every single narrative heavy good RPG in the past... they are just too lazy to go through a couple of maps and final combat again even if they will get more levels and better gear in return to help them with that last battle...
  11. Elder Scrolls is the most boring RPG out there. Opinions are like asses, everyone has one... I never managed to finish any TES game... I tried Morrowind, tried Oblivion and even tried Skyrim... Cities are small and dull, NPCs are crap, and story is average at the best... boring grind does not help it. Some dungeons have a redeeming factor, but overall are 'meh'. The worst part of those games is monster scaling and for example simple road bandits running in extremely expensive armor pieces. But I guess only those really crappy story wise games can have an option of letting it be played out once you finish the 'main plot'.
  12. It simply does not make ANY sense in the game like PoE or BG... Bethesda games are crap story wise in and terms of writing, they are big and boring sandboxes, where finishing main plot changes nearly nothing. Did Bioware allow to play the ME3 AFTER the final mission or did it always port you before the last mission trigger? Were you allowed to play DA:O or DA2? List the games that allow you to play the game post ending screen and then think of their story. The ones with very heavy narrative NEVER allow to play post ending, as it would totally break the immersion of the world and no sane developer will create a second set of dialog of every NPC in the world just to allow to play in the heavily changed world. You are just a bunch of whiny ****. Next time, learn to read the information that is given nearly 2 years in advance about the shape of the additional content. It is not a surprise to anyone who was even remotely following the news on the game in the last 2 years.
  13. It works the same as tales in BG... It was always said that this is a pre-end game expac... ALWAYS. I do not get why people are whining about it... You also could not go to Durlags tower in BG once you were done with Sarevok... I mean... this was said from the kickstarter time that the expac will be TotSC type and it will be accessible before the end-game...
  14. TBH i'd rather have a regular dialog with descriptions like PoE did it, but still regular dialog is much better imo then just describing what and how you want to say... it is much harder to pull off to be good IMO.
  15. Some more awesomesauce for the dwarf lovers... and they announced a dwarf battle video. Can't wait for it.
  16. I don't know about PoE (I logged about 6h on it before I got bored), but in the BG2 engine, there's a lot of auto-pause options (on spell cast, on round end, etc) that most people overlook. I won't say that effectively managing a 6-man group without it is impossible, but it's something I certainly wouldn't be able to do. Without auto-pause, I'd agree with you. With, I actually prefer RTwP... In other news, I encountered another really weird bug with one of the vendors making references to a run I didn't go on, while standing right next to a replacement for said vendor that talks as though the vendor was gone... dafuq. yeah, but constant auto-pauses break the flow of combat, I'd rather have a full TB than 6men party RTwP, where you get to pauses every 2s to change orders, position, cast spells, etc.
  17. I've completed it and had fun, but there is uneven focus on Etiquettes. Still the end game when my main had minigun and was buffed by Gobbet and Is0bel marked his targets was super fun. End game boss fight was piece of cake I am planning on the next run as a decker or mage so I can use Duncan and one "optional" companion. Companions had really fleshed out personalities. Part of me wishes that I could play this in 3D TPP mode like ME, but I guess I will have Cyberpunk 2077 for that. The game at first seems a bit linear but there are minor choices that impact things further down the way and I like them being subtle. A bit spoilerish - if you fancy less combat oriented play, invest in charisma and Shadowrunner/Corporate/Socialite Etiquettes (on top of my head)
  18. It would be funny to have memorial with the names from the failed XCOM campaign at the start of the XCOM2 :D
  19. Hey i don't judge. I've been to some parties with these kind of girls. My friend even dated one for quite some time and she was from one of those more expensive clubs. Each to their own, but i find it a little bit funny as a lot of SJWs just go bonkers at the mere idea of strippers and 'escorts'. Even the recent Amnesty International decision - pushing to general public a stance about not penelizing the call girls and their clients brought a lot of heated debate.
  20. No its fine I promise, its considered an average strip club in JHB...not that upmarket but the girls are friendly and don't mind you talking to them for hours if they enjoy your company and you dont act weird And for me if I can't talk to the girls there is no point so it works for me After some time they probably are all up to your SJW manhood, amrite?
  21. I like it so far. It is fairly simple but bad positioning can get punished. I've completed the intro mission, the initiation mission (without a shot!) and a first real Shadowrun mission (gardens). It is fun but i feel I F.. up my street samurai by giving him SMG and Blades... Probably should have given Rifle and a Blade... i was thinking of giving him a melee implant but i need to carefully plan the points distribution and i have no idea how many are in the game...
