  1. No I'll keep it neutral - no IE mod plug, and no "I hate engagement" statements. I will thoroughly explain how to not be really pissed off by the system, because I think it's gonna bite a fair few people in the ass. Pretty much every streamer I've seen has been destroyed by disengagement attacks because they're not paying attention.
  2. The Cage Cursor option breaks if you click the Window that the game runs in, rather than inside the game window itself. I don't know if that can be fixed I suppose the game can be run in a borderless window.
  3. I have a request, and that is would it be possible to tone down the sensitivity of the formation rotate, I find it too sensitive even with 400 DPI and no mouse acceleration - It was changed in v480, I preferred it when it didn't turn as fast. Thanks.
  4. That's a good outline for Vector Graphics, well done.
  5. Nah I have not. I will look it up.
  6. Yeah, well it was. It was the highest level of play in Australia, but Call of Duty was not a monetized or sponsored game, and the prize money people were playing for in those days was hmm, a few hundred bucks, split between 5 (there were bigger tournaments in 2010-2013), so getting all serious over that and having to sign an NDA was both pathetic, and funny. I think they used to make fun of it themselves too, and that's why he used to say that on the forums. My team was also the first team to beat them online in a tournament in 2010 No NDA required!
  7. edited to clarify why I said that word, and you'll probably laugh.
  8. The RPGCodex got a press key, and the admins of the RPGCodex decided that the key came to me. Paradox Interactive handled who got press keys, they gave one to the RPGCodex - they met mindx2 in person at PAX East and he did a very good report on it. It did not have a single thing to do with Obsidian at all. There was also no NDA. I'm sorry if I confused you about that. I said "NDAsoz" because when I played competitive Call of Duty 4 back in 2008, the top team at the time called Team Immunity were given NDAs (and the only team given NDAs) by their management. When asked questions, their co-captain Tristan 'tEEKK' Pope, would post "NDAsoz" on the forums, which I found funny - and I always wanted a reason to do it. I'm currently under embargo and cannot discuss the game, so I thought it was a good enough excuse. Unfortunately due to living in Country Australia (1mbit upload) I cannot stream. It will be a pre-recorded youtube video that I will do probably tomorrow, and I'll make it public after the embargo is lifted (and I won't be the first to lift it either - just to be safe).
  9. Courtesy of Bester When you have a level 1 character with Talents "None", you can use the mouse wheel to zoom the camera in and out I don't know if you can do it if you actually have a talent Expected Result: Mouse wheel use inside the character record (or any other UI screen) should not result in camera zooming.
  10. That's right (I'm not part of the professional press and there is an embargo until the 23rd). I will be complying with the embargo rules. I am going to do a fairly spoiler free guide to mechanics and gameplay that will most likely only include material you would have already seen from the E3 Demo and the Jesse Cox stream. From people who've never played these types of games before, to people who are really good at the IE games - I hope that my guide will have some value to everyone in between. You should be able to, after watching it - jump into the game with less of a steep initial learning curve to the mechanics and rules.
  11. There's a reason for that though. That reason is because there will be press members who are backers, and press members who are not. If the backers get the game before the press, and some of the press are backers - it only takes one press member to break the embargo and publish content on their site for a whole sh1tstorm to happen, and this is what happened for Double Fine Adventure, who (thankfully, for everyone else) were the first to encounter this issue on Kickstarter, and it meant that press started publishing reviews based on a clearly unfinished version of Part 1 (even though you could consider Part 1 unfinished). This no doubt hurt the reception of the game, and probably contributed to their relatively small sales numbers. The press review games in exchange for page views, which generates advertising dollars and are more used to seeing unfinished work. Developers need reviews to help sell their game. Developers give them early access to preserve this relationship, otherwise press many not bother reviewing a game if they don't think it's going to generate the pageviews. The wait between them getting the game and you getting the game isn't actually very long, they only got it last week. You get it this week. That's pretty good, all things considering.
  12. Keep in mind the wiki has lots of mistakes because there have been hundreds of changes over the course of development. Currently I wouldn't go by what it says.
  13. I'm not sure if I'm going to do an LP at this stage - my focus will be on trying to help improve reception and the best way I can do that is to make a comprehensive beginner guide, so that when the game unlocks for everyone, there's something that people can watch to help them understand how things work / how to play.
  14. I think it's a mistake edit: yep, looks like a formatting mistake - I'll correct it
  15. You can pull the files out, but you can't put them back in as of yet. They went with sharedassets instead of assetbundles for the levels, which is not mod-friendly. Will need to discuss things after release.
  16. Performance is a lot better now.
  17. It's 14.4 Size on Disk (13.4GB displayed in windows), but the day 1 patch will add on top of that.
  18. I am not a BIG NAME twitcher, and I will be producing youtube content on the same day (from the press version).
  19. I'll repost mine too http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/70331-435-mail-coif-clipping-into-certain-armors/?hl=coif
  20. Yeah, it does make it take longer - however I was not arguing against ranged recovery specifically remember, I was arguing about the globally slowed recovery that also affects melee. You will note that in my videos, I simply run around in circles I don't run across the map. Map size does not matter - terrain style does.
