  1. heavy metal hair pls ;_;
  2. Same. I like sidebar UI's but you can't have stuff sticking out half way into the screen, and preserving symmetry is also ideal.
  3. However in Pillars of Eternity there are three(!) functions mapped to TAB, and it also has a different function in the inventory screen. I find this to be really inconsistent UI design/control mapping and would prefer that the TAB key was universal across UI screens and acted how it does in Baldur's Gate 2.
  4. His friends are like only a few metres away though.
  5. In Baldur's Gate 2, the TAB key highlighted tooltips and containers when the mouse was in the level. When the mouse was hovering over a UI element such as a character portrait or part of the HUD, it did not show in game tooltips and instead sped up the highlighting of UI tooltips such as portrait tooltips and the commands mapped to buttons. In the Inventory screen it also sped up the speed of tooltips.
  6. Wow that's broken. Although I suppose you could do that in the IE games somewhat, PE should improve on this.
  7. My goodness that is DISGUSTING. Nice find. I also reported the party AI issue, which I think has something to do with engagement http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/68844-issue-party-members-should-not-have-ai/ My understanding from reading the Update 44 Melee Engagement Kickstarter update and other posts that Josh Sawyer has made is that in order to qualify for engagement (that is, in order to be able to qualify for disengagement attacks) you have to be stationary (or !isMoving). Clearly that isn't working here.
  8. In pretty much every RTS game that is newer than Warcraft 1 (including the Infinity Engine games), you can control click select and deselect units, as well as shift click units. Here are the functions working in Icewind Dale: Here they are not working in Pillars of Eternity:
  9. Well that particular side only mockup he did looks pretty bad IMO, but a portrait sidebar would be okayish. Probably a waste of time putting any work into that though, shifting the elements around at the bottom would be a little bit better at least.
  10. If you equip the Boots of the Long March on a Dwarf they skate along the ground. It seems to interact fine on Humans and Orlans.
  11. I agree that I hate the bottom only UI, but Josh Sawyer is the Project Lead and he likes bottom only UI, based on that alone I do not think it's going to change - otherwise I'd be doing mockups for it. It's a shame that bottom UIs are an in thing right now, because there's so much space on the sides of the screen that could be used instead - you know, like how actual programs are designed.
  12. Been trying to figure it out myself
  13. Other indie studios have been able to achieve better animations than PE has with less money though. I hope some of the animations get more polish over the coming months, but it's hard to know how many animators they have left on the project.
  14. Yep, they do. KB isn't the brightest person in the world, can't even use a computer properly. He can play games though I'm not really interested in the simulationist discussion about attributes anyway, that ship sailed a long time ago for PE.
  15. Yeah it's sooooooooooooo terrible. I modded it out of the game, but for testing purposes I need to use default. I die a little bit inside every time I see it
  16. Now with video, all nearby Cultists do not drop their masks, armor or weapons. Only items from the random loot table appear.
  17. [issue] Party members have an AI script that causes them to cancel their targeting and cancel their actions if certain clauses are met in combat. This was not present in the last patch and is really, really annoying. [Expected] Party members should not have any AI other than auto-attack clauses such as "auto attack enemy of same type after currently targeted enemy is dead". [Notes] I am not 100% sure whether the Priest Spell "Holy Radiance" is bugged, but Priest characters _WILL_NOT_ cast the spell when ordered to, they always cancel their actions. I have been able to get it to go off but only after several (usually five or more) attempts including using the cancel function, moving the character and then repeatedly clicking the button again.
  18. I should get Matt516 to say everything for me instead.
  19. I don't know if I'd be making videos on youtube if I had asperger's syndrome, sure you're donating to the right charity? I recommend donating to save animals instead
  20. You sure you haven't come to a foregone conclusion nipsen?
