  1. Misc: In the party "Records" under Party Reputations. There is a 'Missing String' after the Dyrford Village entry. For clarity, it reads: Dyrford Village: *Missing String* (Minor 1) I think that was what was in the brackets. But the important part is before them.
  2. Not sure how to tag this one... [DESCRIPTION] In battle, I was trying to get my Priest to cast a spell (I can't recall which one) but it didn't fire. This resulted in me not being able to switch characters, nor could I target anything. The cursor changed to the regular mouse pointer cursor when hovering over floor. Over walls and outside the playable area, the cursor changed to the cast spell icon. Over traps, the cursor changed to the Disarm icon. Again, I could not target characters or enemies, but could interact with objects. [DETAILS] I have not been able to replicate this behavior. [EXPECTED BEHAVIOR] Well, obviously one expects the gauntlet cursor and the ability to select and interact with characters and enemies. [OTHER REMARKS] Of note here is my setup. I have two machines networked and use a program called Synergy that allows me to use one KB+M to control both machines. Anytime there's an issue with the cursor, I think it may have something to do with Synergy (this has happened in the past with a couple games), so this may be the culprit. Since I have not been able to duplicate this issue though, I can't say for certain. just thought I'd note it. For posterity, a link to my save game file: http://www.upload.ee/files/4226675/58b914c5e16c42e59a7d5e5ae09693be_DyrfordRuins_7773889.savegame.html And my logfile is attached as well. output_log.txt
  3. I know many people have reported disappearing items, so it's nothing new. However, I want to report this one specifically because in every run I've tried in the game so far, while I can pick up the Ogre Head and it goes into my Quest Items inventory, I have not yet been able to get and keep the Ogre Blood. No matter what character I've tried with, when I pick up the Ogre Blood, it disappears from my inventory for good. I've not yet been able to keep it.
  4. Update: This does not occur in only the first slot. Further testing has revealed this will happen in any slot, Not sure of the conditions yet, but I have noticed it will invariably occur if the game reports a character's inventory is full but there still appears to be empty slots. Anything dragged into those slots will disappear for good.
  5. Was just scanning the forums to see about reporting this. I'll just toss in a 'third' for this. I've experienced this a number of times with the sam results (Supposedly empty slots, but if you manually drag anything into them, it disappears for good).
  6. Yeah, I'm hoping it's on the 'to do' list as well, and wasn't even going to report it at all. but then it occurred to me that it's such a simple thing that maybe they actually overlooked it.
  7. I've had this happen only once (full party wipe was the result). Every other time I've had few issues against the spiders. This was on Normal difficulty. Because of that, I tend to agree this must be a bug.
  8. You have to upload it on a file-hosting site, such as upload.ee and link it here. For what it's worth, I've experienced both bugs. I've found that a save and reload will fix the stuck character problem. For the continuing attack animations issue, I found if I choose the entire party and move them, this will fix it.
  9. Having a bunch of different saves for one character becomes somewhat of an exercise in futility when trying to load the latest save first thing when firing up the game the next day. The games are listed alphabetically instead of by the most recent save date/time, and with the font so small that I can't even read the times on the save files, it makes it terribly difficult to choose the latest save if I have a number in the same area. So I'd like to see the saved games listed by most recent save date at the top of the list, then descend according to older and older saves down the list.
  10. [Description] In the Dyrford Ruins, after triggering traps I had to reload a game to get a character un-stuck. Upon reloading, all the traps were reset. [DETAILS] 1) Go into Dyrford Ruins. 2) Trigger or disarm the traps in the corridor. 3) Save the game and then reload (I reloaded from the main menu) 4) Traps are all reset. [Expected behaviour] Traps, once triggered or disarmed, should not reset when the game is reloaded. [Other remarks / Comments] Of note: if a character is standing on the area where the trap is set when you save and then reload, that trap will not reset. Traps that don't have a character standing on that area will reset though.
  11. Pretty much summed up what I was trying to say, only doing a far better job of it.
  12. I'm not sure that's what Sawyer meant. Maybe it's my own bias at work in interpreting the article, but I got the sense that it wasn't so much the idea of making everything 'equal', but more that you could choose an option and not have it be significantly worse throughout the course of the game. Not sure if I'm being clear, but taking the padded armor as an example, sure you can attack faster with it at the cost of less protection, but does that really make it the same as plate when looking at it over the long haul? Your plate-wearing character can stand in the front lines and whack away while taking aggro and be able to survive since he's not being hit for much damage. Your padded armor wearer can't, even though he's hitting faster. At least, that's what I was thinking. Your padded wearer still won't be an effective tank, basically. Bah, still not sure I explained myself very well.
  13. Posted this in another thread, but here it is again: My biggest complaint with the stash is you can only access it when making camp (you can put stuff into it anywhere, and you can sell stuff out of it to a merchant, but you can't access it to equip things on your character unless making camp). I don't mind not being able to access it in a dungeon or wilderness area, but it makes no sense to me to be able to sell your stuff in a town, yet you can't access it without making camp. At least, I haven't found any other way to access it. After reading through this thread, I like the idea of at least being able to sort the stash into categories, given that the stash is here to stay.
  14. Yeah, it could. Depends on how formal the text is intended to be. I agree it would look weird for it to be presented both ways though. RE 'Place/Pace', I see what you mean. I should have gone in-game to catch the context. It's a lot tougher to see what's intended when you're just looking at the text file itself.
  15. I'm part of that 'DRM-free crowd' and have around 75 games on Steam. So... yeah. Fairly even-handed I think.
  16. Re "Place". I believe this is supposed to be a direct use of the vernacular that the common folk use. Not an error per se, but just adding flavor to the character. Re "The Gilded Va;e". I believe this is intentionally written as just "...Gilded Vale". It's the name of the community, much like one would say "...like those poor sods in New York". Re 'someplace'. It's acceptable in colloquial use, which I personally think is fine in both those dialog texts.
  17. Okay, file is uploaded here: http://www.upload.ee/files/4220950/00_si_skaen_temple_bridge_02.stringtable.html File goes in Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity - Public Beta\PillarsOfEternity_Data\data\localized\en\text\conversations\00_dyrwood
  18. Oh ye gods, color me stupid. I was trying to attach it here in the forums. *sigh* I blame lack of sleep.

  20. I found this and fixed it (there's also a mistake later on in the same line, which I also fixed). I can't seem to upload the file though, as I get a message that the file type is not allowed to be uploaded. *edit* Hangs head in shame. Sleep deprivation has caused me to be stupid. Will upload and attach url later. Okay, fixed, File goes here: Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity - Public Beta\PillarsOfEternity_Data\data\localized\en\conversations\00_dyrwood and the file can be downloaded here: http://www.upload.ee/files/4220950/00_si_skaen_temple_bridge_02.stringtable.html
  21. No, it happened to me as well and I never used the 'Continue' option. Always loaded from the title screen. And the time I had it happen, I was actually firing up the game for the first time that day.
  22. Okay, found it and fixed (tested to be sure it works as well). Problem is it's telling me I'm not permitted to upload this type of file. Something else I need to do to it other than edit the text inside?
  23. Thank you, good sir! I'll have a look and see what I can find.
  24. I'll need a tutorial on that.
  25. [Description] In the story board when clicking on the posts where you're supposed to use the grappling hook [DETAIL] The descriptions says "On other side..." [Expected behaviour] Should say "On the other side..."
