  1. See attached screenie. Both the items mentioned in the title seem to have incomplete descriptions, as well as no graphic for the item itself on the description page. To wit: Value: 90cp Basic stats: Speed:Instant The Basic Stats field is empty.
  2. [DESCRIPTION] In the mill as well as the tannery, i moved my cursor over the areas where I knew there was a hidden object. Even though I hadn't actually detected them, the cursor changed from the movement cursor to the gauntlet, indicating there was something there. I couldn't actually access the hidden object's inventory until I detected it though. [DETAILS] 1) Enter any area where you know there's a hidden object, but do not enter Stealth/Detect mode. 2) Run your cursor over the area where the hidden object is located. The cursor will change to a gauntlet. [EXPECTED BEHAVIOR] I would expect that the cursor would either remain as a movement cursor or the red circle/slash when you mouse over the object if you haven't detected it yet. Otherwise, it's a big giveaway that there's something there, which the player could find accidentally, and this would be a metagame issue. Alas, I didn't think to take a screenie of the issue.
  3. Confirming this. I get it as well, and was just popping in to report it and post screenies. I get it in every building interior except the tanner's tower.
  4. Alright. Got the update installed, everything caught up as far as chores/housework, and got some time on my hands. Cover me, folks, I'm going in...
  5. Gotta agree. I had alot of fun with all three (love the fact that my beloved 'bard' class really got some love, and was totally surprised at how much I liked the cipher), but after playing them, there's really no incentive to take anything else right now. I realize that will be addressed though. Having said this, I have to add that I just this morning played a Priest for the first time and when you get a pair of them going with their buff/debuff spells, it's pretty much pure win.
  6. Nowhere in my post did I even mention D&D. I knew when I threw money at them that the system wasn't going to be D&D (although it's interesting that the system they went with is very similar to 4th Edition D&D). As for Sawyer not hiding his feelings on BG, I was completely unaware of it. Granted, I'm not the rabid fan type that seeks out every scrap of info and post that the devs make, but I followed the KS campaign pretty closely and was pretty active on the boards here as well. I had no idea of Sawyer's disdain for the BG games.
  7. Ah, thanks for the heads up. Apparently my search-fu is weaker than I thought.
  8. I don't know. I think he has a valid concern. At the very least, what they seem to be delivering as indicated by the beta, and what many were led to expect via the kickstarter campaign are quite different. I'm personally okay with what I've seen of the game and am pretty confident that it's going to be a good, fun experience when it's released because - as you noted - much can be tweaked. But I'm also pretty confident it won't be nearly what I had pictured while the KS was running. This game is so far looking very different from what I would have expected from a spiritual blend of IWD, BG, and PS:T.
  9. Not next 12 hours. They're in the Pacific Time zone, so it could be another 15 hours or more (It's currently only 8:30 AM here). *edit* I really need to finish my thoughts. What I meant to add is that they didn't make a hard promise that there would be a patch today, so it could well be tomorrow. So yeah, 15+ hours. *edit 2* Woah, update: looks like it will be today, barring anything major. See This Thread (post by IndiraLightfoot). I bow to your superior insight, archangel979!
  10. [DESCRIPTION] During battle, if you have more than one caster and cycle through them while the game is paused so you can order them to cast an AoE spell, once you unpause sometimes the spell caster you are not currently controlling will walk to the target spot instead of casting the spell. [DETAILS] I have not been able to replicate this with consistency, but have seen it happen numerous times. As an example, if you pause the game and choose to have BB Wizard cast an AoE spell, then switch to BB Priest to also cast an AoE spell, then perhaps have your main (assuming a caster) cast an AoE spell, when you unpause one of the casters may, instead of casting, just walk to the targeted spot instead of actually casting the spell. It does not happen all the time and does not seem to matter if your main is a caster or not, as it can occur if using just the BB Wizard and BB Priest to cast simultaneously. But if you're not directly controlling the caster, this sometimes will occur. This also does not seem to be an issue with line of sight as far as I can tell. [EXPECTED BEHAVIOR] One would expect that the character would cast the spell instead of walking into the target zone and getting toasted by the spell salad the other characters are casting.
  11. In the chamber just outside Weymund's there are three guards. The center one spawns in transparent. See attached screenie.
  12. Check the 'Josh Sawyer visually explains attack and recovery" thread. Josh has been responding in that one periodically. But you can't expect they're going to address every single concern/item of feedback on the boards. They're likely concentrating on bugs and may later on look at what they can reasonably change/tweak from the feedback suggestions.
  13. Not sure if this is just an effect of the item icon placeholders, but when you pick up the Medium Shield (Heater) and move it, the icon changes from the grain bag to a blank white square. Reporting this since it's the only item in the game that seems to do this. See attached screenie. (White square at bottom right of character model is the shield)
  14. In the Skaen temple, when you enter via the Dyrford Ruins stairway, just to the south of the corridor leading to the right ( the one with the traps which eventually leads you further into the temple) is a room with a single guard. This guard always spawns in sideways and transparent. See attached screenie.
  15. Who are you to bring reason and logic to the table? Fie! A pox on you! Out, heretic, out!
  16. Since this doesn't happen to everyone, you should include your system specs and maybe the DXDIAG file.
  17. I'll second this one, as I've experienced it upon occasion, but not with every run through the game, and I can't seem to figure out exactly how to replicate it yet.
  18. Someone on the boards mentioned a couple things which I tried and it seems to have worked for this issue as well as not being able to turn in completed quests: 1) Never load a save directly from the menu that pops up when you hit ESC. Instead load only from the main menu (if you hit ESC, choose 'Quit', then load from the main menu). 2) When you save and quit the game, shut down the Steam client as well.
  19. Likely just a placeholder. There are tones of them in the beta for items. I see no reason why it isn't the same for sound effects as well.
  20. The times I was successful, I had the BB Fighter do it. I'd pumped his Athletics and his CON is 16, I believe. During the story board cut scene, it noted a successful descent and indicated that the CON 16 was the ability that the check relied on. (Can't recall the actual wording).
  21. To add to this, the loot area just above that one, while it can be interacted with, seems to have a minor glitch in that the cursor shows the move icon when you first click on it. After clicking on it, the cursor changes to the gauntlet and then when you click on it a second time, the inventory opens.
  22. Yeah, I think you're screwed for this run. As Yonjuro said, you're game's probably corrupted. I recommend a fresh start as well. If you do, then take note of the advice on saving and loading: 1) Load only from the main menu (not the one that pops up when you hit ESC. On that menu, hit Quit and then load from the main menu) 2) When you shut the game down, shut Steam down as well. Another thing I've done which seems to have stopped disappearing items issues is to always drag each item from a container into your inventory. Don't use the 'Take All' button. And don't try stacking items. I've found this makes them just vanish.
  23. I had this happen in that same area with the BB Fighter. But I believe it was a death, as I think he fell when trying to climb down the hole. One of the devs suggested it might be what occurred. I'll see if I can dig up the post. *EDIT* Thread is Here, if you're interested.
