  1. I've just finished the "Uninstall Gears of War" game. Gears of War is one of the worst action games I've ever played.
  2. What the hell was up with the bear???
  3. Gears of War. I can't believe everyone got so worked up over a mixture of Bubble Bobble and Jumping Jack, and not a very good one at that. Cover. Kill. Run forward. Cover. Kill. Run forward. Cover. Kill. Run forward. Cover. Kill. Run forward. Cover. Kill. Run forward. Fork off and do something else that's actually fun and interesting.
  4. Because lesbians attract the male demographic while gay men don't?
  5. Well, for about ten years I lived in a place that was very near to what was the most dangerous neighborhood in Lisbon at the time. It was four different houses in one, with one family per home. Of those homes, only one had extensive burglary protection, with whatever was considered very good security at the time. Bear in mind that these families (including mine) had all similarly high incomes. Of these four houses only the one with all the security was robbed, and several times at that. The other places weren't ever touched, over a period of about 10 years.
  6. I've been watching the X-Files for the first time since I saw them on TV, and I've been having a great deal of fun, although it's not quite as awesome as I remembered, of course. Except for Gillian Anderson, who's even better than I remembered. She really is a great actress.
  7. My problem with Fallout 3 is not the supposed change from Original Fallout Goodnesstm, but rather that the last two Elder Scrolls games, were from my perspective, horrible steps backwards in the series, and generally in the genre. As such, given my complete lack of trust on Bethsoft's design skills, I really can't see much fun coming out of a game developed by them. It's been twelve years since they released a game I enjoyed. And I used to adore the bastards.
  8. The only way to get away with a time traveling plot without paradoxes is to make the whole thing a self fulfilling prophecy.
  9. I was referring to the not very good texture quality, that the game is sporting for a late 2008 release. The 360 isn't exactly a cutting edge system anymore. Oh, and for the record, I like consoles. Also, about us just commenting on the graphics, well there's nothing else to talk about regarding those screenshots, is there?
  10. http://youtube.com/watch?v=9Qimi1HLgZg
  11. What really? I think it looks generic 101... The textures are the worst part, blah. Well, this is a 360 game.
  12. Oh and also Bethesda devs should try and figure out how to use bloom properly. Oblivion had awful bloom, and by those screenies, Fallout 3 is going the same way.
  13. The 8800GS, Nvidia's answer to the 3850 is out. Here in Portugal they are priced about the same, however, I've heard that ATI might lower the 3850's price a bit. Review.
  14. That's what I'm saying. More reviewers should harsher.
  15. Considering how game reviews consistently label games as brilliant when those games are just more of the same, I think more critical reviews like Yahtzee's are one of the things the games industry needs to improve the rate of innovation. Take Bioware, for example. Why would they strive to improve their design formulas, if every single game they release is met with almost universal praise? Game journalists should be more critical, both in reviews and in previews. I mean, even NWN1's OC got fantastic praise at the time of release.
  16. I just saw the Australian Open Women's final. Sharapova won. Seeing as it's past 4 in the morning here, I'll be going to sleep now
  17. Well, the bit in the park was also nice, and I generally like Winona Ryder, but other than that you're quite right.
  18. Woohoo! How's that album coming along? Beatles - Yellow Submarine
  19. I'm guessing that, apart from maybe the Athlon, all those processors would be a bottleneck on the PC's performance already.
