I don't know what happened to the Matrix. I think it was lost long ago and when it was found, thats what caused Optimus and Megatron to come to Earth. I agree the Energon design looks MUCH better. Arcee so far is using her Energon design, so a Motorcycle. People on the Don Murphy boards are against this because of the no mass-shifting rule for the movie. If she were a motorcycle she'd probably be smaller than the average human in robot mode. Hasbro told them they had to use one character design from one of the new shows (Energon or Armada) so they chose Energon Arcee. I think they should have gone with Energon Ironhide (4x4) or Armada Cyclonus(Helicopter) either would have had to have been tweaked to fit real-world vehicles, but since theres no Gestalts(combiners), triple changers, or insecticons in the film, and Skywarp and Thundercracker aren't the last two of the 5 decepticons, the only way to fill all 5 decepticon slots is to go with Shockwave and a decepticon from one of the other series, hence Cyclonus.

So have all the non-veto powers get together, and agree to refuse entry to the veto powers while a vote is taken to revoke their veto powers. If the veto powers don't like that, well, too bad for them. if the veto given to those powers is preventing the UN from being true to the charter, it has to be revoked. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The General Assembly has no power, only the Security Council has power. If a resolution came to revoke the veto power, the big 5 would veto it. Its a shame too because the veto power is why the UN is ineffective. Its why Israel wasn't stopped from kicking Palestinian ass for so many years(I think there was something like 32 resolutions against Israel, but the US vetoed every one of them), its why the Rwanda genocide wasn't stopped(Not the US's fault alone, France and Russia also voted against going in). The UN needs to be disbanded and reformed with a new charter and new rules. The idea is good, but the execution is flawed.

Well, since Galvatron is a revamped Megatron, of course theres no Galvatron, though apparently they're thinking Unicron for the 3rd film if it gets that far. If I were in charge I'd ditch Arcee for Ironhide, redesigned as a 4x4 instead of that sissy toyota van, and introduce Arcee, Ultra Magnus, and Hot Rod in the 2nd movie as a commando unit on Cybertron, part of the force Optimus left to continue the fight while he left in search of the Matrix. I'd also replace Ratchet with Wheeljack. Its going to take place in modern times, mainly based on G1, altered slightly to make more sense. The Ark crashlanded more like 5-10 thousand years ago instead of 4 million, that way Cybertron will be more likely to be still in conflict. The search for energy will be replaced by the search for the Matrix, since they could just set up solar plants on Cybertron or its moons and boom, you have energy. Human characters will have a larger part to play than I'd like I believe. Which is stupid because in every Transformers series the most hated characters are the humans. Though Beachcomber, Warpath, Cosmos, and Powerglide were pretty damn bad too.

We are getting a new Transformers movie. Live Action. Produced by Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto, Executive Produced by Steven Spielberg. Michael Bay is the frontrunner for directing. So far there are 5 TF on each side, the Autobots having Optimus, Jazz, Ratchet, Bumblebee, and Arcee. Fans are pissed that Arcee is taking up a spot that Ironhide or Prowl could have used. Decepticons get Soundwave, Starscream, and Megatron so far, the other 2 haven't been named, but I'm guessing Shockwave will be one of them because Skywarp and Thundercracker have been confirmed as not one of the 2. http://www.d13satellite.com/donmurphy/foru...y.php?forumid=8 Official forum for TF Movie discussion. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So what are people's thoughts on this?

What music are you listening to right now?

The brain fact is a tad misleading. Its that we only use 7% of our brain at any one time. We use our whole brain, just not all at once. And the population of the world is not over 7 billion. Its around 6.4 billion. 12.2% of the Canadian population admits to using Marijuana in the last year. 57% of the population support legalization, 32% support fines for posession, and 8% support jailtime for posession. In Vancouver, BC several cafes along Commercial Drive actually sold Marijuana. It took 2 weeks before they were raided by the police, the owner was given a warning, and 3 days later pot was on sale again. The BC Marijuana Party (A political party devoted to legalizing marijuana) holds a Toke-In, every election year that attracts around 5000 people who just sit around in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery smoking pot and listening to music.

Starscream 4 evah but Devastator is a close 2nd. I would have used a Starscream avatar, but the one I normally use doesn't look very good when its as small as we're limited to.

Yup. I've only seen a couple episodes, but apparently the ending pissed off a lot of people.

Well, the only one I have a lot of experience with is the G1, Beast Wars, Beast Machines continuity. Haven't read any of the old marvel comics or the UK comics. The recent Dreamwave ones were pretty decent though.
-
Unfortunately the guy who did his voice was terrible and just sounded like Terrorsaur with ADD.
-
<{POST_SNAPBACK}> So he was a **** in UK continuity too. Anyway, guess we should move this over to the Transformers thread.
-
Beast Wars took place something like 4 million years after G1. But at the beginning Optimus Primal and his Transwarp(time/space warp) science vessel are sent to intercept the new Megatron's ship because Megs has stolen an important relic and Optimus' ship was closest. Battle damage causes a transwarp reaction and drags both ships accross time and space back to earth where both ships crash. The earth at the time is covered in Raw energon, the radiation of which causes energon buildup and eventual stasis lock for transformers, so they scan the area for organic life that is unaffected by the radiation and choose those beast modes as shells to protect them from the radiation. In season two they find the Ark and Megatron attempts to destroy Optimus Prime so the Decepticons win the Great War.
-
The movie is new continuity. It starts right back at the beginning with the Autobots and Decepticons coming to earth. Don Murphy has said they're thinking Unicron will be in the 3rd movie if the series gets that far. And you liked Rodimus? He was a bitch. Just sat their whining about how he was a crappy leader. Hot Rod was cool, Rodimus was a wuss.
-
Did it get cancelled? When? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think it got cancelled halfway through the 2nd season. Not sure. I know that they only have 1 and a half seasons worth of episodes, and its been 3 years since the show started airing.
-
I liked the new He-Man my father actually loves them...wich kinda scares me <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In the TV continuity Rodimus reverted back to Hot Rod when Optimus was rebuilt and took back the Matrix. I think the comics are all different continuities too yes. Though I think War Within is possibly a Prequel to G1. And the new He-Man was kickass. Its a shame no one watched it. It was far superior to either of the new Transformer shows, and both of them got 52 episodes.

That's what I want to know? Are they parallel universe kinda things? Or each series is from a different time-space? Transformers brings back good memories though. Especially of me singing the theme song into a blowing fan so my vocie would sound robotic. I thought I was pretty cool back then. :"> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Transformers G1, Beast Wars, and Beast Machines are the same continuity, while all others are on their own. And yeah, they're going to rename Galaxy Force as Transformers: Cybertron and air it on Cartoon Network. I wish they would just get the guys who did the new He-Man cartoon to do a new Transformers, that way it wouldn't suck.
-
Galaxy Force is the newest one. I think they've aired up to episode 6 in Japan. Edit: Actually, Victory is from the early 90s.
-
Sim City 4 the last few days. About to start on another game in Civ3 though.

Perhaps that

BLASPHEMY! Energon is the animated equivalent of diarrhea. The original series and Beast Wars are both FAR superior to Armada and...ugh... Energon. My god, every animator that worked on Energon needs to be fired and blacklisted from ever working in animation again.

Perhaps that

According to the OE contact info, its actually up the street from there. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=1560+%20E%20...14098&t=k&hl=en

From Dragonlance I was a pretty big fan of Steel Brightblade, I liked the idea of a good person who knowingly followed the path of evil because he figured people would be better off in the end. As for FR, the NPCs I've encountered I haven't really liked. Except maybe Harkle Harpell(sp?) My old DM made up a character that was pretty darn cool. Named Jandor, forget the last name. Anyway, what happened was he rolled insane stats for him, 3 or 4 17s I think, and just came up with a back story that fit. He is now I believe a level 10 thief, level 6 mage, he's a member of the Greyclaws I believe, and pretty much hires himself out as a spy and whatnot. Collects magical items no matter how mundane because when he retires from being a rogue he wants to open a store that sells them.
