Nah, in that kind of situation I just get really uncomfortable and not say anything. Or I'll be like "I don't like it, but thats just me"

They might have a chance if they were given some recognition. I mean if the candidates were included in the televised debates and such then maybe more people would consider them.

Is that the same as saying your social skills aren't particularly evolved? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm friendly and easy to get along with, but I won't kiss ass to get a job and I have a hard time meeting people outside school or work. Neither of which I'm doing right now.

Interview at EA: Tips on recognizing bugs?
Oerwinde replied to Oerwinde's topic in Computer and Console
At least they actually let me know instead of leaving me hanging like EVERY other interview I've had where they said they'd let me know either way. Update: 10 minutes after getting this email, I got a phone call from Wal-Mart telling me I didn't get the job there either, because of my opinion survey. I guess not criticizing the company is more important than being on time. (The other guy they interviewed for the position said he was late pretty often) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What'd you say? " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They asked me "should an employee criticize the company when he/she believes it to be wrong" I said yes, otherwise nothing will change. -

Hrmm, well it looked like a form letter, so I figured thered be no harm... I'll edit just to be safe. -
I'm unemployed because I don't know anyone here, and I'm overly honest, and you pretty much need to know people or be able to lie through your teeth to get a job nowadays.

Well Lincoln was a Republican, but democrats and republicans have kind of switched sides in my eyes. Taks you disagree with my statement about conservatives and idealists obviously, this is a place to talk to one another, talk to me. let me see your side of the story before screaming like a conservative at me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well a lot of people have said that Republican and Conservative aren't mutually exclusive. There are some liberal republicans, just as there are some conservative Democrats. Just because Lincoln was a republican doesn't mean he was a conservative.

Well The Rock was good, so was Bad Boys. Bad Boys 2 and Armageddon were decent. I have faith. I think his directing style fits very well with transformers.

Hasbro owns the property, but Atari licensed the rights to the games. I don't know for how long though. Oh, and Michael Bay did a little bit of an interview about the Live Action movie, and when asked if the original voice actors will be approached for the roles he said "Yes, the fans will be satisfied"
-
It couldnt be completely original of course, you'd have to piece it together from an existing set of limbs, torso, etc. That would be fully possible. And you dont really need to show the transformation in a very detailed way, so you could just have some blurry animation and "bam!" youre ready to roll out. Btw, You're a 3D mojo maker, Oerwinde. Havent you designed any cool Transformers of your own? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm not really a designer, so I haven't really tried. I can model from reference, but when it comes to designing the reference myself, its a lot harder. Anyway, I think what would be ideal for a TF RPG would be to create the head and color scheme, then choose from a list of Alt modes and it would apply the colors and head to that bot. To Darth Flatus: I bought the PS2 TF game on release day, no questions asked. Turned out it was a tad boring, and the controls were terrible. It desperately needed an auto aim function. I also wish they had called it Transformes: Armada instead of just Transformers. When I think Transformers I think G1, and this was not a G1 game. Baley: I think Atari has the rights to make TF games, since thats who made the PS2 one.

Morrowind's combat was nothing like KotOR's. It was first person "click based" yet didn't make any sense because you could watch your sword pass right through your enemy, yet because it was based on stats, you missed him. IMO First person view doesn't fit with a stat based combat system.
-
That would be sweet, but it'll never happen. The best we could do would be to choose from a list of possible pre-made bots, then edit color scheme. Otherwise it would be impossible to transform.
-
Either way its not really a case against fan/dev discussion. The ultimate decision is up to the devs, its just nice to believe that as fans our opinions matter.

Level caps are lame anyway. Devs should achieve virtual level caps by limiting the amount of experience available in the game, not by stopping progression with a hard cap. Removing the cap didn't unbalance the game, gaining levels too fast did.

Mal: Mercy is the mark of a great man. *stab* Mal: Well maybe I'm just a good man. *stab* Mal: Eh, I'm ok. *walks away* Also a good moment.

Well I'm sure after the success of KotOR they'd be willing to do something around those lines. -
I'd totally be all for turn undead, but I'm sorry to say game mechanics don't work in the real world. Shotguns do. On a somewhat related note... does anyone else wish Cartoon Physics worked in real life sometimes? Just so I could do like 2 minute of weightlifting and be a musclebound freak.

It was an excellent TV show. The movie is set 6 months after the last episode of the series and apparently will re-introduce all the characters in a way that new viewers will understand, but old viewers won't be bored. Mal has a lot of good lines, and a lot of bad lines. But usually the bad lines are on purpose to either get a rise out of someone, or make light of the situation. Still my all time favorite Mal line is "Ooooh I'm going to the special hell."

Sever the head or destroy the brain. Shotgun does both, so I lean towards the shotgun. As long as its a combat shotgun. None of this reloading after 2 shots crap. And I want clips, if I'm fighting zombies, I don't want to get eaten while reloading.

Well that Lord of the Rings game was a FFX clone, so if they could just do something similar, without completely ripping off an existing game and taking the storyline directly from a movie, they could sell pretty well. JRPG style games are very story heavy, and while theres very little role playing exactly, they still sell well and are very entertaining. -
This is oversimplifying things so much it's almost scary. Just because The Elder Scrolls are games that focuses huge worlds it doesn't mean that Bethesda is that limited in their visions. Isn't it possible that they bought the Fallout liscence to actually expand on their reertoire? It isn't unheard of after all, Black Isle did pretty much the same thing when they followed Planescape: Torment with Icewind Dale. I'm not saying Fallout 3 won't be "Morrowind with guns", but I don't think it's right to assume it will be either. There is simply no evidece presented that the game will go either way. I'm just saying that I think Bethesda deserve the benefit of a doubt. They will make changes that may not sit well with all fans, that much can be expected. Then again, the changes Black Isle had planned for Van Buren didn't sit that well with many fans either (such as going full 3D, making the game real-time AND turnbased etc). I personally think FO3 will have a very different focus than Morrowind. I think it will be a lot smaller and more compact and I think it will include actual dialogue. I'm pretty sure it's going to be in some form of real-time (most likely with pause) and maybe in a first person view. These cahnges doesn't necessarilly make it a bad game though. I don't think it's going to be anywhere near the level of the first two, but at least I think there is hope it can still be a nice addition to the series. If it does turn out to be a post-apocalyptical version of The Elder Scrolls, then I'll admit I was overly enthusiastic and that all the naysayers were right. But I am going to wait until there is proof first. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just hope Bethesda discusses the changes with the fans like BIS did with Van Buren. I like how JE came by the forums do discuss things like "I don't think we should have first aid AND doctor, what do you guys think, should we combine them?" and things like that. And once the screenshots came out, people were VERY impressed with how well they got the feel of the fallout world with the 3d engine. I think we should give them a chance, but if it turns out for sure that they're going to make it 1st person real time/morrowind with guns, we don't have to praise them for their genius.

Interview at EA: Tips on recognizing bugs?

Yeah I love the new PES ....tho actaully playing the game is far better EA could make an RPG ...but they'd probably need to set up a company just for that Oh and NHL 2004 wasn't made by EA it was made by Black Box <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Black Box was bought out by EA 3-4 years ago. Once the expansion on the Burnaby campus is finished, they'll close down the Vancouver office and bring the team, along with Team Fusion, their PSP division down the road from the main office, into EA proper as well. As for needing to set up a company to make RPGs, they plan on doubling the work force of the EA Canada branch in Greater Vancouver (Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, etc.), and they currently employ around 2000 people. So I think they'd have ample people to do one. At the interview they also said that EA wants to expand and eventually be the worlds largest entertainment company. Not just video games, but entertainment in general. So after that Lord of the Rings game, they might just be ready to try to make some RPGs. -
I do admit it makes the trailer more exciting though.
