  1. The first one was entertaining, I was a Blue Ranger fan. Even the movie for a kids movie was pretty damn good. Then they had to go and get rid of all the characters and make crappy offshoots.
  2. Probably not, it was done by New Line.
  3. Yeah, with the CG they could just render the transformation and have it ready to splice into the show at any time, while if they tried making them transformer normally, it would require hours of render time.
  4. The original was just Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. http://www.ninjaturtles.com/comics/mirage/volume01/01/01.htm Those are the original comics. Never heard of Bodycount.
  5. After seeing what was done in 1990 with the turtle costumes, I'd love to see a new movie with guys in suits. The 1990 turtle costumes were excellent, imagine what an effects house like WETA could do now.
  6. I actually think most people liked the 2nd movie over the 1st. I know for a while I did, then I got older. Anyway, the new series is currently on 3 seasons and has been picked up for a 4th, so I'd say its decently popular. If they do it right, they could have the nostalgic people like us, as well as the newer fans flocking to it.
  7. Isn't the largest gamer demographic 18-32? If so, its not that surprising.
  8. Apparently. I don't know all the info, but over on the SuperheroHype boards people have been discussing it like its going to happen, rather than as something they wish would happen.
  9. Baley rocks. He's one of those rare spammers that doesn't really bother anyone. Now he needs a gimmick, like Grimbot on the Don Murphy boards. He's grumpy.
  10. First was the comic, then the series and toys, then the movie, then the not so good movie, then the crappy movie, then the worse than crappy live-action show, now the new good show and possibly another movie, which disregards the 3rd film. Apparently its going to be sort of like the new Superman movie. Where its not a restarting of the series, but its not really a sequel either.
  11. The funny thing is that the movie origin of splinter is the comic origin. The guys who made the series just figured "Y'know what... Rats can't learn martial arts." and changed it.
  12. Has anyone seen the concepts Warner Brothers did to try to get the job doing the new show? They were pretty bad. The turtle designs are really close to the original comics, but thats not a good thing IMO. http://www.ninjaturtles.com/warner/warner.html
  13. I didn't like the theme song for the new one, but its not bad when you put it together with the intro animation.
  14. I think I might have seen one episode of Next Mutation, I remember it not being very good. And they brought in that chick turtle. WTF was with that?
  15. And I do  <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ebay sends anywhere, depending on who you buy from. Some people will only ship to US locations, some US and Canada, others will ship worldwide. Usually if it says US only, you just have to email them and pay the extra for shipping. A LOT of people try to rip people off with the shipping though. I bought something off there once and the guy charged me $8 US for shipping(around $12 CAD at the time), and when I got it, the postage was $2.50 CAD.
  16. Once I start getting a decent income I'll probably start trying to find all the new and old eps on DVD. Its expensive for the new ones up here in Canada. They're like 18 bucks a disc and you only get 3 episodes, while apparently they're like 10 bucks each down south. When I finally have kids they're going to love me for buying all these cartoons on DVD.
  17. Someone seriously needs to turn off flood control... Anyway, I'm sure you can find an online store you could buy them from. And theres always Ebay. But I guess you'd need a credit card for that. Downloading is probably your best bet if you have broadband.
  18. The movies are still good now. At least the first one. I just bought them all for like 25 bucks for the trilogy a couple weeks ago and am in the middle of watching them now. I haven't seen the old 80s series in years, but I'm really enjoying the new series. I love being eternally 14.
  19. Hence why I said get a region free player and import Though I guess you'd need an NTSC tv as well.
  20. You either need to get yourself a region free DVD player and import the boxed sets, or get downloading. You can't call youself a Transformers fan without at least watching the first season of G1 and the movie.
  21. Well, we've had threads devoted to Transformers and Thundercats, I think its TMNT's turn. I'm almost done watching the first season of the new series, and its pretty darn good. Much closer to the original comics than the old 80s series, which I believe just had its 2nd season released on DVD, or it at least will soon. Personally, my favorite turtle is Donatello.
  22. Its the Matrix! How could you not recognize it!? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The matrix of leadership? I've never whatched G1 remeber And I can only really rember Energon well ..it's been years since I've last seen the other ones <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You haven't even seen the movie?
  23. My one piece of advice. If you seriously want to draw, try to come up with your own style. The anime/manga style is overexposed at the moment. Sometimes it can be really good(aimo for example), but a lot of people, myself included, are just plain sick of it. Other than that, good job.
  24. It felt like Star Wars to me. The force, Jedi, Lightsabers, Sith Lords, spaceships, yup, Star Wars.
  25. Well call me a nature lover. I'm feeding the trolls
