it made only 40 mil in its first weekend, finishing second. far behind Pitch Perfect 2, which is not a good sign. -

I have no hope of seeing another Mad Max movie, seeing how poorly Fury Road is doing in the box office -

3D glasses make the movie darker, and a lot of movies are intentionally made dark to begin with, so I never even bother to put on the damn glasses if I am forced to watch a movie in 3D. -

I don't really get the whole spy spoof genre. to be frank, I even hate James Bond movies, Mission Impossible movies, Bourne movies etc. and those aren't really spoofs, they take themselves seriously. so yes, I did see Kingsman, I came in with low expectations, I didn't like the two leads (I think Firth was terribly miscast), in other words - not my cup of tea -

I'll repeat myself, but it's nothing new in the Mad Max movies. the only movie where he is the center is the original. he's playing second to the tribe at the oil refinery in Road Warrior, and barely even there in Beyond Thunderdome. anyway, Red Letter Media (the only "critics" worth a damn in today's world, IMO) just released their review, and it's basically 20 minutes of singing praises to Fury Road and Miller. so yeah, probably the best movie of 2015, unless a miracle happens. -
both are awesome. I'd love to see more action movies with them in principal roles

I'm going to watch Fury Road tomorrow, but from what I've gathered it seems Hardy and Theron both have leading roles. besides, the Road Warrior wasn't focused on Max either, more on the people inside the oil refinery. it was narrated by one of them, Max was more of a passer-by. if Fury Road is the same way I'll be pleased. not sure where the Jesus analogy comes from, maybe Beyond the Thunderdome, but that's just a wacky movie all around. now, the original Mad Max is one of my favorite movies. I think it's so well done for a revenge story, that there aren't many movies like it (the recent Rover with Guy Pearce unintentionally mimics Mad Max in some ways). but, of course, the true masterpiece is the Road Warrior. I'm really excited about Fury Road because there are hints at connections to older Mad Max movies, and I want to see how they play out. and is Hugh Keays-Bryne's character the Toecutter or not?!

Funny how the left one has the airborne beret and not a marine

Trespasser was cool though

that part I actually liked. I didn't like how uneven it was near the end of the movie, where it just starts going in circles and ends nowhere

Was Citizen Kane one of them?

I think that the twist is: there is no twist

in our time they are as well although, that's another kind of "screwed up"

have you heard of this guy?

saw It Follows and was disappointed. it starts off nice, but loses its pace rather early into the movie. the last third is mind numbingly boring
-
well, there's some poetry being read by actors, those parts will definitely be ruined. otherwise, it's pretty straightforward, no references to Russian culture stood out to me, so if the subs are good go for it.

lol, I'll hold off for now

my point is, you don't have to have experience with people and know history to understand what the book is about and what the moral is. on the other hand, a lot of stuff marketed for kids has all kinds of details only an adult could understand.

I always considered Animal Farm a book for children, I find it interesting, that most people don't (?)

hmmm, interesting. does it require the client to be running in the background to play the game installed with it? or can you use it only to update games?

so what's this Galaxy thing? I noticed I have it in my GoG library but I'm reluctant to install it

in the case of FPTP systems, it's hardly democratic, because the minority rules the country. with the US' Electoral College I wouldn't even call it a democracy, it's just a circus.

so did Nigel Farage win? oh wait, he quit his party...
