  1. oh, for god's sake, I just returned from the ATM, taking money off my balance... oh well, there's always next year's sale
  2. too bad their servers aren't cross-platform. I'd love to play with my PS4 buddies
  3. still waiting for the sequel based on the game
  4. indeed there is, Taken style
  5. oh, I want to be your friend then
  6. Pathfinder is the closest they'll ever get to playing a new D&D 2.5 anyway, you guys are fixating too much on turn based combat. phase based is clearly superior
  7. wow, those actually look like real people. gj, Japan
  8. oh, at first it sounded kind of cool, reminded me of Wizard of Oz and Star Wars, but then I saw the anime pic
  9. the only thing I want now is a Pathfinder game on PoE engine
  10. they saved money by delegating the job of producing and distributing physical copies of the game to Paradox. I have no idea if Paradox actually gave any money to Obsidian at some point.
  11. if I'm not mistaken, Feargus once went on record saying Obsidian burned through roughly 1 million USD each month. so, 4 million would only fund 4 months of development. everything else had to come out of their own pockets. I imagine this is why they have partnered up with Paradox, they need all the extra money they can get to keep the studio opened
  12. I do agree that combat on Path of the Damned feels a lot like it did in IE games on Normal. (although, I'm playing an all-cypher party, so the early game is a lot more difficult than it could be)
  13. AFAIK Aurora was an upgrade of Infinity, pretty much the same engine, but with a 3D renderer instead of 2D graphics
  14. I don't want to point fingers at anyone, but the word "troll" came to mind as soon as I read the OP. I don't think a person with some experience with programming beyond the "Hello world" stage would dare to say programming a game is so easy, that Obsidian's programmers are obviously bad at what they do
  15. what's so good about Fallout 3's ending? it's pretty awful
  16. yes. in the options you can change the behavior of the key for highlighting additional information (Tab by default) from "Hold" to "Toggle". as long as it's on, you'll have all the information displayed, including health bars
  17. everything worked fine yesterday. I installed Skyforge today, quit it, tried to launch PoE, and it crashed. attached below is the log I'm not amused by your insistence on using Dropbox, which I hate, so I've uploaded it to GDrive. hope you don't mind https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B59Ipzt8U5sdV0ZneG1hcE1XOU0/view?usp=sharing
  18. my point was - every area of the game that is not a quest hub is a dungeon. the only difference from IWD is there were no quest hubs in that game, it was more linear. on the other hand, Baldur's Gate 2 was exactly the same - quest hubs and dungeons around them, so maybe PoE is similar to BG 2 in more ways that one would think
  19. by the way, you can get this item of clothing as part of a side quest in Twin Elms
  20. turn on developer commentary in the game and prepare yourself. the words "dungeon crawl" are said in half of them
  21. I'm busy now, but I'll be back to destroy your arguments later. leaving a message here to be able to find the thread quickly, because it will be buried under many more similar threads
  22. you have to place the gem into the socket at night, only then will it open
  23. I've yet to see hirelings referenced anywhere other than my stronghold menu. I've tried talking to one of them, and he just says some line or another.
