Unofficial P.E. Relationship/Romance Thread pt. 3
If at the end of your playthrough, you are satisfied with the character development for the NPC and the options given the PC. That doesn't sound right. I need a meter to tell me if I'm winning at love or not. Perhaps the devs could use Leisure Suit Larry for inspiration? Just out of curiosity, how do you know when people like you in RL without a meter?

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS!
Do not mistake Dishonored for innovative, it's a rehash of a previous formula that has never hit the mainstream. If you ever played Dark Messiah of Might & Magic you will see the similarities, which is not a surprise since is the same developer. My experience with the game was ruined due to a few mistakes on the developer's side. First, the game favors an approach heavily while rewarding you for the opposite. What I mean is that they reward you storywise with the good ending, a higher rating and less difficulty if you choose the pacifist approach but they equip you to kill and make it easier to do the bad ending. A far cry from Thief and Bioshock which balanced both choices well in terms of gameplay. It also made the usual Bethesda blunders, they hired incredibly expensive actors for roles that are minimal, the writing is awful, 10 million of books of lore and things that have no bearing on the game, combat was a mess. You know, the usual. I seriously can't tell people to stay away from this game enough.

Quests with actual moral connotations
Really? Because after 2 hours in I was hoping that I could kill everyone in the game, those people were awful.

Why bother with faith?
Up until this year nobody had seen anything that would prove the Higgs Boson, that didn't stop researchers from having faith in their theory. Wasn't faith for them staying the course of their theory? There is no evidence to prove or disprove God, why "rational" people seem biased towards those who who profess belief is beyond me.

Fat acceptance in Project Eternity
But they get minus Sta, Dex, and Cha (unless the NPC has the "Chubby Chaser" feat)

Why bother with faith?
If I drew like Prosper I probably wouldn't have any faith either.

Why would you be fat if you could do magic? Just make those pounds dissappear.

Suggestions: Complex Characters, Villains and Npc's
"He" had a shining moment of brilliance and it was all downhill from there. He went from methodical calculated brilliance, your typical "whoa haha" evil mastermind.Sad really.

Suggestions: Complex Characters, Villains and Npc's
Thank you! I never liked heroes because they were boring, stupid and only won because they were the good guys. So give me villains that are fun and fun to hate.

[Wisdom]Using this dialogue option is a better choice.
To me this would make the skill useage mirror how it tends to work in P&P (ie you declare you're going to use a skill). I think the issue would be what happens if the need to use the speech skill comes up in the middle of speech (this could be dealt with mechanically by having the ability to toggle on/off speech skill usage, but I'm not sure that would be a prudent course). The difference between Intimidate and Bluff seems to be just for roleplaying purposes. In PS:T there was no intimidate rather it was supplanted for a Truth tag, whereas Bluff pushed your alignment towards Chaotic, the Truth made you lawful or evil/good depending on the situation. Since there is no alignment system in PE I think your take on combining both into a single skill would be rather good.

Game speed as a difficulty option
It would start to feel artificial when enemies can coordinate at higher speeds than what you can humanly direct your team. Just saying.

Is this a trick question?

Mantaining the risk and unpredictability
Except that what is proposed is only an artificial random element. To keep with the Redcliff example; what the program is actually doing in your example is going over checks and basing the outcome on whether or not they are met. True randomness would be if you had no control over the factors like in game such as Mount & Blade where the situation in the kingdom changes randomly and you react accordingly.
