He can't "see that" in either your blood or urine unless he specifically tested for it. Which he didn't unless you asked him to (and paid out of your ass to get it). Also, there's no general test to find steroids/doping, you actually have to test for each and every known substance (almost) so it's a very expensive test and unfortunately very unreliable since new drugs pop up all the time.

Me and my cousin bought a small steak for a movie night on Valentine's day. We thought we should be a little fancy since we were both female-less for the day. The tiny steak we chose (600 g. ~ 1.3 lbs) cost 250 SEK ($30). Ok, so it was from some fancy part of the cow and ok, it was from a happy cow (brought up on a farm instead of in a factory), but still! It was tasty but not 250 SEK tasty! Later we realized that we could have gotten three kebabs for the price of just the steak. Including drinks.

I thinks that's a pretty bold assessment on an early one minute teaser video... That's one minute teaser video and information on their website. If you can't see that this looks like an awful game then maybe you have bad taste in games? In that case, just go ahead and pre-order it Here's another bold idea: how about you stay out of a thread that is a discussion about a game you obviously already hate?

When I'm home I use my tablet for everything. I can play Baldur's Gate while sitting on the loo, play Dragon Quest 5 just before sleeping in my bed, read news everywhere, control my TV from everywhere, stream music to any of my speakers for whenever I have friends over, look up maps while driving, look up recipes in the kitchen, read books in text mode (seriously good), stream movies when I go to friends on Airplay or Sonos or Miracast or whatever they have, talk to my parents and friends in other countries on Skype, entertain kids with silly apps. I have found so many uses for it. Also, the battery in it lasts for 10-11 days! I never have to worry about it running out of juice, unlike my phone (lasts a day when used heavily). Also, my pad is only 7.9 inches (same screen as the Ipad Mini) so it never feels heavy to hold or annoying to take with me. It fits everywhere except my pockets.

It's a little bit annoying that in Sweden you can only legally buy alcoholic beverages in one place (Systembolaget). So even when you're visiting a brewery or going to vineyards, you can not actually buy anything to take home with you from there. You have to order it later from Systembolaget. It works, but your stories are definitely more sexy sounding.

I must say I'm surprised by how good the graphics are in Mafia 2. It was released in 2010 and I've yet to see a game that beats it when it comes to smoke simulation. It really looks fantastic in motion.

The Great Game Giveaway: Tuesday Edition
mkreku replied to ShadySands's topic in Computer and Console
Why isn't anyone claiming Avadon: The Black Fortress? It's a great little RPG.- 487 replies

Ignorance. This is what games used to look like. You think adding resolution and colour depth would change anything? This is a game that uses most every modern graphics effect (video for full effect). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD8EjshQ6yo You don't think simple things like dynamic light/shadows, shaders, bump mapping, normal mapping, antialiasing, screen space ambient occlusion, etc. consistently makes graphics look more realistic? Ignorance.

I hate old graphics. They weren't the way they were because of choice, but out of necessity. Hardware just didn't allow for more than that back then. I'm so grateful for the technological advancements that have been made since then, that allows graphics like we have today. I was just thinking about it today, that I would be happy with the graphic standard I've just seen in Mafia 2 (which came out in 2010). I just played through that game with everything on max and I don't think the game dropped one single frame the entire time I played it. It really felt like playing a movie! So.. uh.. I guess I would draw my limit at Mafia 2, 2010. That's the standard I would like to see every game match or exceed.

Played through Mafia 2 lately. This is the result. Fabulous.

Had to literally get down on my actual knees, and look up, to get that low in that last shot. It felt unnervingly perverted, to say the least. Especially since she's lifesize Ok, maybe I will survive without the beautiful women thread after all. Some is forgiven.

And someone is apparently forcing them to read every thread on this board, despite some pretty f-cking clear thread titles, some of which makes them very offended and we're very lucky if they "never bothered to report it". And that's supposed to be a teacher if I'm not mistaken. The sheer stupidity is the only thing offensive here.

The Completely Covered From Head To Toe Women Thread
mkreku replied to Keyrock's topic in Way Off-Topic
I'm still not sure what we're allowed to post now. Was it the amount of skin that was offensive? Was it that they were women? Are we now not allowed to post pics of women at all? Or was it that they were attractive women? Would it make our one female poster feel worse about herself? Was it that we didn't know anything about them besides their looks (the objectification theory)? Are we then not allowed to post any pictures of anyone, regardless of gender, since all pictures are by definition objectifying without a background story attached? Maybe I shouldn't be surprised since I once got a picture of a bent piece of paper removed by the worst moderator ever because the paper was bent in the shape of a copulating couple (if I remember correctly)..- 58 replies

So you made the board even more boring. Fantastic. And Hurlshot.. having to "actively avoid reading a thread". Are you by any chance insane? Does your reality make it seem that threads click on you and not the other way around? You need help. Wankers, all of you.

You finally accepted my friend's request? *SNIFFSNIFF*I'M SO FLATTERED!!

There is a demo. I played it a long time ago and it's good. Very addictive game that relies heavily on random number generators (sometimes you freeze to death because your game refused to spawn shoes, for example). But it's incredibly satisfying when the rolls go your way and you find a rifle.. or enemies perfectly balanced for your current level.. or just a bigger backpack. I didn't know it has been released. I think the demo I played was browser based! Time to check it out again.

Let's Play: The Pools Saga (SSI Gold Box classics)
mkreku replied to Endrosz's topic in Computer and Console
I had forgotten how much better the graphics became later in the Gold Box series, compared to Pool of Radiance. They almost hold up even today! -
Ok, I need to retract this previous post. Turns out the item I was referring to was NOT supposed to be in the area I fine-combed. The help I had read was for the beta and a lot has changed since then. THE GAME IS BUG-FREE IN THIS CASE! (I hate when games get undeserved buggy reputations)

I finally started Wasteland 2 and logged something like 20+ hours in it. Then I found an area that just refuses to let me past. I tried for probably five hours, using all skills, every item, every route, every combination of everything I could think of. Nothing worked. Out of frustration I finally googled it: an area I previously visited was supposed to drop an item which it didn't. Time to restart.. frustrating. Other than that it's a fun game.

I broke down and installed Grim Dawn. "I'll just try it out for a bit".. I think I'm nearing the end of chapter 1 now. It's a good game.
-
I also bought Grim Dawn, but I'm not going to play it until it's finished. I do love Titan Quest though so it's hard to restrain myself. I also bought Avadon 2. You know, it's annoying reading you guys whine about how Dragon Age: Inquisition should have been turn based, Fallout should have been turn based, blah blah, when there so many great turn based games there already.. that no-one this seems be playing. I suspect you guys just like to whine.

I love everything about the Stalker games that you guys hate. Yes, nights are dark. Wtf is even the point of having day and night cycles otherwise? Yes, bullets drop and weapons don't always hit right on target. You have to take that into account in real life and in Stalker and I love it. Couldn't have had better news than GSC coming back. Great Christmas present!
