http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-06-04-everyone-thinks-fallout-4-is-out-this-year I want to believe! What I can't believe though is that Fallout 3 was released in 2008. How ****ing old am I?? But at least they've had seven years to work on Fallout 4. It is entirely plausible that it can be released this year.

I kind of remember playing chess with some sort of animal in Fallout 2..? No matter what Bethesda does, it's still canon after that. Anyhow, I admit the graphics in the trailer seem slightly underwhelming after playing The Witcher 3 so recently, but.. I don't care!! I played Fallout 3 probably around 80-100 hours and Fallout: New Vegas for over 300+ hours. I know I'm getting my money's worth regardless. Ooohh, I'm getting that radioactive wasteland itch again..

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-06-02-fallout-4-is-real-and-its-being-revealed-tomorrow Holy crap! I'm excited!

I was kind of hoping it would do like Steam does; scan the system and just re-install the registry values. It worked surprisingly well with Steam, all I had to do was add desktop shortcuts manually. I will reinstall it soon. Just.. The Witcher 3..

This is the first Kickstarter I've backed. Part of it is nostalgia, but part of it is also a slight guilt for me not backing Wasteland 2 when that was going. Will be fun to follow though. I've loved all the Bard's Tale games so far. Yes, even the newer, humorous one.

I reinstalled Win 7 and my GTA5 installation disappeared (well, it is still there on my other HD, but it refuses to start). Guess if it sounds appealing to start installing all those 7 DVD's again..?

I just tried the Gwent mini game for the first time last night. Got my ass handed to me in Novigrad. Repeatedly. Then I realized you have to run around and buy cards for your collection.. and then build your collection yourself by choosing the right cards in the deck.. and then work your way up an unofficial Gwent ladder by travelling the land.. and then it was 03:30 in the morning again and I still have to get up at 07:00 for work. Great mini game though! I usually don't even like card games.

Speaking of graphics.. just before The Witcher 3 was released I started playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I was thinking at the time, "Hey, for being kinda old this game looks pretty nice". I tried it again today.. "How could they even release such an ugly atrocity?!". Weird how perceptions change.

So uh.. I tried helping some children and I think a whole village just died. Sorry guys :/

I would also prefer to not have a party, but I guess that would depart too much from the original Bard's Tale games. I've never played a first person game with a party that felt natural. Oh well, my immense nostalgia for Bard's Tale still keeps me interested.

Absolutely fantastic game. I've been slowly doing side-quests and main story quests side by side and seen the map get more and more "finished" and figured it would be empty in no-time, like most open world games become. But to my surprise the game world seems semi-dynamic as new quests popped up in areas I thought I had cleared already. I love that! I'm still only level 13 and I'm still in Velen and I still haven't even visited more than one city on that map and I've clocked something like 40 hours already! Seriously, this game is awesome. --- Oh and regarding the complaints in this thread: Jesus ****ing Christ, you guys are ****ing morons. Your inventory is full? Sell ****. Problem solved. Your horse expands your inventory space illogically? Don't use it. Problem solved. Seriously, reading your complaints is like reading those entitled kids on Twitter complaining they weren't given a car for their birthday. One guy complains it's a trekking simulator (too much space, despite there being fast travel), while another complains there are enemies 10 meters outside of villages (which apart from being a complete lie also insinuates the game is too cramped). Also, every single item I've dropped on the ground since the beginning of the game is still where I left it. My game is completely cluttered, but I guess you guys got the special versions that forgets your stuff so you can complain about that too.

Love that knife.

I was trying out the replay function of Raptr. It actually works very well. It runs in the background and doesn't seem to take much resources at all. I recorded a fight against Jenny o' the Woods: http://plays.tv/video/556209fe7c171a977b http://plays.tv/video/556209fe7c171a977b https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKUzuCJ2EA4 Unfortunately the media tag doesn't work for plays.tv, as it does with Youtube. Oh well.

I did not ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I do not find monsters every 10 meters (and even if you do find monsters, they are very easy to run around). Stupid exaggeration. I do agree that the controls are horribly imprecise. But for some strange reason, I don't care. They just don't get on my nerves as much as in other games with sloppy controls. Weird. The crossbow can be upgraded, like every other item in the game. Also, only the standard ammunition is endless. The good ammo (the ones you obviously haven't tried yet) are finite and they do make a difference. I usually only bring down flying foes with them, but I've also killed packs of things with it. The bombs can take out 3-4 enemies at once when aimed right. Not the most useful, but definitely not useless. Also upgradable. I'm absolutely loving this game, btw. Whining about having to press three buttons instead of two sounds so ridiculously petty to me. But to each their own.

I agree. The Witcher 3 has some of the best side-quests I've seen in any RPG and I've only just scratched the surface. I really want to hear which RPG has better side-quests than The Witcher 3!

Haha, almost the same thing happened to me. I was fighting some cannibals near the coast. I was having problems with a shield wielding leader guy when all of a sudden this blue muscular dude walks out of the sea and one-shots him. I was so surprised! Then he one-shotted me too. He was only level 15. I was level 5 and my opponent was level 6. The Witcher 3 may not always be logical, but I'm having so much fun that I don't care.

Raptr just set everything except shadows to Ultra for me and my R9 290X and I'm perfectly fine with that

I'm level 5 and I have maybe ten quests that are from level 17 and up.. Leveling is pretty slow in The Witcher 3, at least in the beginning. It's a little bit annoying when you find some new blueprints for armour/weapons, you spend a fortune to forge it and it turns out the equipment you just forged has a level limit of 27. That actually happened to me. Still enjoying the game immensely. I had an epic underwater fight yesterday before I fell asleep. I don't know why, but I always seem to love games where you can swim and dive. Like the first few Gothic's.. in fact, this game is a better Gothic than all the Risen's in the world. Imagine that.
-
Well.. when I first start up a game I let Raptr decide the settings for it. It's not AMD that decides the settings, it's all the users with the same hardware as I have that decides the settings. It creeps on every connected R9 290X owner and checks what they set the game to and probably does some sort of average from that. If the game is very new it usually just says that it hasn't yet gathered enough data for any settings suggestions. It actually works pretty well. The only things I usually change are turning off blur effects/bloom/chromatic aberration and stuff like that (personal preferences).

Leafs hire Bab****: http://espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/12920242/toronto-maple-leafs-hire-mike-bab****-head-coach Ok, yeah, they paid him $50 million.. but I'm still pretty excited. The biggest problems the Leafs have had in the last few years is not the quality of their roster (with a few exceptions), but their inability to get the best out of those players. I'm not expecting a cup, but maybe playoffs might become a reality? I sure do miss Sundin's leadership though. Phaneuf hasn't exactly been an adequate replacement.

Yeah, that's the reason I'm letting AMD's equivalent, Raptr, stay on my computer too: screenshots and the fact that it always keeps like 1 hour of replays in memory (which is kind of cool, I think).

Played some more today after work. The game started off good but it's actually growing on me. I agree that the exploration is not as rewarding as it could be (lack of xp, lack of other incentives) but I love the side-quests and the main quests. The side-quests feel very lavish (for lack of a better word) with higher than usual production values and great writing. I love that they never feel cheap and always feel like little stories instead of fetch quests or the like. The second map is much bigger than the first with almost an overwhelming amount of stuff to see and do. I'm really enjoying this game.

Played some more last night (only for a few hours directly after running a 10 km race..) but it felt even smoother for me than the previous night. Naturally I had to raise a few setting just because of it. Now on half Ultra/half High. I love my R9 290X! I have not had the experience of HoonDing. Yes, there's equipment deterioration, but I usually upgrade my weapons and armour before they fall apart. Crafting is actually fun in this game. I love that I almost never have to hunt for ingredients for the things I want to make. I usually solve it by breaking down things I don't need into components or buy them (expensively) from the vendor. It's just a matter of balancing cost versus amount of work it would take to get it myself. My witcher is very poor.. I've left the starting area now (without picking up any glass bird.. sigh) but the game has not yet opened up for me. We'll see.
