I'm very interested. I played through all the Bard's Tale games on my C64 a million years ago and those games had a certain feel to them that I haven't found in any other games. Not sure what it was. Also, those games were dead hard, with puzzles that took forever to solve without the use of the internet or hint books (usually riddles, some of which would have been difficult in my own language, let alone English). The series was also very difficult combat-wise with the third part being the worst. I just wish they would update the games like Bethesda updated Fallout. Although I enjoyed Wasteland 2, I must say that going from Fallout to Fallout 3 was a revolution while going from Wasteland (probably my favourite game of all time) to Wasteland 2 was a slight disappointment. I vastly prefer first person view to top-down view these days.

Played The Witcher 3 for almost 5 hours last night. So far it's very good and surprisingly polished. I especially like the subtle humour and the very Polish feeling game world (I drove through Poland last summer and I get the same mood when running through The Witcher). The only thing that bugs me so far (and to be fair, it bugs me a whole lot) is that the game was advertised as being open world, but it's not. It's the same "open world" as the Stalker games, as in having pretty big levels that you move between. Lots and lots of invisible walls everywhere. "The world ends here" blah blah without any geographic explanation. You can actually be running in an open field with kilometers of view in every direction when all of a sudden your character just stops and says that the world has ended. Pretty annoying and an extremely clumsy solution for this non-problem. Other than that my first impressions are very positive. Even the interface feels very slick and clever and with the complexity and amount of features this game has, that's quite a feat. I know people were complaining about the downgrade in graphics, but I don't care. The game looks spectacular and that's all that matters to me.

I have not yet measured my fps, but instinctively I must say the game feels smooth and pretty with everything on high at 2560x1440. My Radeon R9 290X doesn't care for your Nvidia Gameworks shenanigans!! The game released at 01:00 last night. I usually get up for work at 07:00. I went to bed at 05:49.. Although I did set an alarm to sound at 00:59 and went to sleep at 22 something. It was actually a little bit exciting to pre-download and anticipate the release like that. Sure, I'm tired at work today (I got an hour of sleep and got up at 07:00), but it was worth it. It felt like a real event. Maybe I should pre-order more often..?

Yeah, I am downloading it now. Only 26 GB.. Less than half of GTA5. But then again, Skyrim was like 6-7 GB.

So.. I just waded through ten ****ing pages of pointless garbage posts whining about how bad a yet to be released game is. Could everyone who already hates this game please go somewhere else? WE GET IT, YOU HATE IT, ENOUGH ALREADY! It's ****ing impossible to read about this game with all the drama queens (wah wah this poster is enough for me to hate this game wah wah) and whiners spamming. Anyone have any actual news to share (the posters were nice)?

****, I'm glad this mother****ing board supports free speech, since that's so ****ing important to all Americans.

More fun than I expected it to be. Despite some slight technical problems with headsets and so on

It can and it is. Feels like two completely different games to me. I hated GTA4 and I love GTA5.

A bit surprised the code I got was for GoG. A pleasant surprise. I was expecting Steam.

I found the original Tomb Raider on the Play store. Bought it for less than a bag of candy and am now playing it with ridiculous frame-rates on my Tegra K1 equipped Mi Pad. Oh, and it controls really well with my Xiaomi game pad too. No more of those annoying tank controls. I never played Tomb Raider much when it was released. I remember trying it on a school PC and thought it looked spectacular, but I never got a chance to play it for real. I will do that now. I love my Mi Pad sometimes.

Just Cause 2 was a blast. Just Cause 3 is an insta-buy for me.

I think I've finished the online tutorial now. I tried playing online for a few minutes. I drove around aimlessly and was killed by cheating twelve-year olds. Online is exactly as sh!tty as I remember.

Ah. I'll look into it.

Apparently I pre-ordered this game now. Sort of. I bought an Nvidia graphics card for my mom's family and it came with a coupon to redeem The Witcher 3. The guy who got the card didn't want it (it also came with GTA5 and he wanted that instead) so I took it. Good deal.

I never see sorophx or Bokishi online. It might have something to do with not being friends.. I once got a message from someone but I failed to find out how to read it. I think I suck at online, but I would love to race people.

The Rockstar Social Club is actually less intrusive than Steam. I logged in once when I installed and since then it has not bothered me. It just gives me information about my crew sometimes and that's it. Also a vast improvement over GTA4.

Having fun just driving around in GTA5. I die so much. I fall off cliffs, fall off buildings, crash my high speed cars head on with trucks, get beat up by kids with skateboards (that actually happened) but it's still such a damn joy just to roam the world. I've done two missions so far, I think. Maybe three. A testament to how well designed a game is when you don't even need the missions to have fun. Won my first race too.

I want my sh!tmander emblem! But I can't seem to find how to upload pics, only create them.

I specifically bought the retail version so I don't have to dabble with both Rockstar Social Club and Steam. I don't use Steam for this game. Printscreen does not work. Hmm. Weird if a game of today doesn't have a screenshot function..

Btw, does anyone know how to take screenshots in GTA5?

Wow, I didn't expect how great this game looks. It's ten times prettier than GTA4 and I'm getting a locked 60 fps at 2560x1440 with everything on max! I could never get that in GTA4. Also, the car handling is soooo much better now. I remember morons claiming how realistic the car handling was in GTA4. Holy crap, that must be gaming history's dumbest moment. I still think GTA: San Andreas has the most fun handling, but I can work with GTA5's version. I've done one mission so far. Spent the rest of the time getting lap dances in the local strip club. Followed Infernus home. Good times.
