Screen goes black when I click new game launch campaign. Yay. Think the problem is on my end though.

And now, THE Brit will say his piece!

I like the music and the voice-over. Anyone else notice the "Not-Imperial-Aquila" logo?

I name thee Update Of The Decade. So much wonderful, juicy information! And you guys covered a bunch of stuff I was a bit worried about! And MCA writing the cipher, who won't be redundant with my cipher? SQUEEEEEEEE! I have some questions though, if someone would be nice enough to answer: -Since you guys mention theology, worldviews, etc, can we expect meaty arguments between the companions, and more importantly, the companions and the PC? I'm thinking along the lines of the Myron conversation in FO2, where you break down how Jet is created with thoroughly and intelligently written lines*, instead of "Go on", "Uh-huh" and "I strongly disagree!" So, will our character have anything really intelligent to add to these conversations? If yes, will it be tied to professions, attributes, or generally available (not counting skill checks here). -Could you tell us who writes each companion? I'm a curious person. :D -You also touched on the narrative aspect a little as well. Will you guys do a Narrative update eventually? I'm not asking for a story breakdown (and by all that is holy, no spoilers, thank you!), but rather how the plot will progress. Will it be hub based, like Mass Effect or Alpha Protocol? Should we expect the return of the Honeycomb quest structure? Or completely linear, like say, Septerra Core? Something in between, like NwN1 or The Witcher, with linear progression between hubs? *I remembered certain people being involved with Planescape 'My PC sure talks a lot' Torment, so I guess this is a stupid question in the end. Oh lords, to me this update is so wonderful.. ;_;

Haha, like Bear Dude himself said, not the first "final" version he has released. Truly final or not, my respect for the guy is immense. People who make unofficial bugfix patches are my personal heroes, but that one takes the cake. I was pondering putting Final into quotation marks, but didn't want to confuse people in case they don't read the thread.

I wanted to get The Walking Dead for a friend of mine, but couldn't for some reason. Steam didn't even let me open the game's page.

It's hard to say who gives me trouble, since it's a problem of What traits do I have equipped What skills How much HP do I have and what is on cooldown Usually I can manage, but guardians and eles are unkillable, engineers and necros bury you in conditions and thieves and mesmers poke you to death. I feel ineffective in general, but toughness seems near worthless in my mind right now. I max the toughness traits, have an exotic knight armor set, shield etc, yet killed with 3 hits? Really? At least I can cleanse conditions, even it that just delays the inevitable, but toughness is a stat I actively geared towards. I know this is the "don't get hit in the first place" kind of game, but as a warrior I can't trick myself out of tight spots like most of the other classes.

*shrugs* Guild Wars 2 did something similar to what Josh described, and it worked there, so I'm fine with it. I think people are yet again just too attached to the Way of the DnD to accept change. It also seems to me that people think attributes are more what they actually are. As Infinitron said, you distributed some points around depending on how you wanted to spec your character and that's it. Can anyone name me RPGs outside of Quest for Glory and Fallout 2 where your attributes actually mattered outside of in-combat stat bonuses? Your character was buff, what did it matter? High intelligence? I'm okay with Obsidian dropping the act of pretending strength is anything else than 'melee damage bonus'.

I'm starting to wonder whether I really should bother with Tougness for my warrior (in PvP). If a thief and necro can down me in three hits and I need Shield stance/Endure pain to survive anyway, I might as just go glass cannon like everyone else... Or maybe put 30 into tactics and use regen banners or healing shouts without the healing power. Or something. I just don't knoooooow!

They could've emphasized the game more, the voiceover could be applied to any Shadowrun game.

On the faces? I don't remember them being smudgy or blurry. Just weirdly shadowed and, of course, not very attractive facially. Tho I blame that more on the engine, which just seems to be poor with faces throughout its game-use history. (edit: I guess the darker shadowing that occurs at times could be seen as smudgy...) I don't think I've seen any mods that succeeded at making the faces much better, however. Usually they're either focused on hi-res female bodies (hur), different hairstyles, or they just alter the shape of the face via the editor ... so Veronica has a different face than her default, or whatever. Aww, too bad.

I wasn't being drammatic, the smudgy textures literally tire my eyes in minutes and I can't focus my sight.
-
Can someone recommend me any general graphic upgrade mods for FO:NV? My eyes just can't stand those smudge faces anymore.

And you just left it on the floor? Why?

Robin Atkin Downes, yay! Where's Zimmos?

Some of the old crew got the rights for the game, so we can expect a sequel Kickstarter I think.

Turns out TL2 is just a card. NS2 is the real deal though. >.> So if anyone wants it, do tell.

Apparently I received Natural Selection 2 and Torchlight 2 in a sellable/tradeable form on Steam? Anyone want them?
-
So would I, but no PS3 here either.

Can't you rent it? In these parts there are a few places where you can rent the console and games for a few days. I plan to draw up a list and if I'm able play the few titles that interest me. Nowhere close to me does that. Blockbuster used to, but every Blockbuster in my city closed/went bankrupt. Watch a Let's Play? Is what I'm doing.

Hey, MMO's are about wasting time anyway, might as well waste it on something I fancy.

Yep. Seraph armor (though they changed the name for some reason to Protector), Seraph shield and Seraph sword. You can't see it here but the sword has wings on the handle.
