  1. Eh... the screenshots the game is saving for me are not at such an enormous resolution...
  2. During large battles my mages always run out of lyrium potions and have to resort to their staffs of pew-pew. Pretty annoying. Haven't found a merchant that sells tons of lyrium dust so far.
  3. So eager for the triple/quadruple romance shtick? I know I am.
  4. Shale could probably solo the entire Mage Tower. On a next playthrough as a mage, I'm going to use him from start to finish. He's a stone version of HK-47.
  5. Mage Tower = awesome. I actually had to reload once because
  6. I'm interested... could you spoiler tag it in this thread? I'm considering getting the DLC.
  7. I'm getting so annoyed with that Dryden (sp?) dude standing around in my camp with the puppy-eyed look that I'll probably feel compelled to purchase Soldier's Keep sooner or later... darn clever in-game marketing. Stone Prisoner was totally worth it, btw. Shale cracks me up everytime I talk to him.
  8. The Mage Tower is a really cool level and all, but I've been stuck there for two hours, running around in circles. The spirit of Hordes of the Underdark is strong in this level.
  9. I hear the +9 Sword of Dragon Slaying helps.
  10. When I toggle Shield Wall or Indomitable, shouldn't I be completely immune to knockdown effects? According to the descriptions of the talents I should be, but I find that wolves (lulz) still manage their knockdown with the Overwhelm ability and when that happens, the knocked down character is usually toast.
  11. I wasn't sure where to go first after Lothering, so I went to fetch Shale instead. Pretty cool quest.
  12. If the Blight consisted of a horde of wolves instead of Darkspawn, Ferelden would be doomed for sure.
  13. I thought the rogue dude in the Korcari Wilds was pretty useful, actually. Stun enemy with Dirty Fighting, run behind enemy and kick their ass. Very low cooldown for the talent too. Anyway, meeting Leliana wasn't as ridiculous as I thought it would be. Save for the blood. I also happen to like Morrigan, despite her snide wisecracking. And the Dog is just cute:
  14. That Ogre was not overly difficult. I lost Alistair when he got picked up and bashed to death after a stun failed, but that was just a golden moment.
  15. Best dialogue so far: -"Come, join the Grey Wardens. Fight the Darkspawn!!" -[intelligence] "So these Darkspawn are really bad?"
  16. That social site thingie is nice and all, but being constantly connected tends to kill my framerate unless I disable my antivirus/firewall and I don't really want to do that. Anyway, I'm slowly making my way to the top of the Tower but I'm not exactly swimming in health poultices. Luckily the mage dude I have with me kicks butt, and Doggie has a very convenient Stun power. Hopefully those lumbering monstrosities I'm wading through will drop enough useful things. Still not sure how the magic works, though. One time Darkspawn aren't damaged by the fire spell at all, then at other times it almost burns away half their health.
  17. The finale of the Human Noble origin reeked a lot of A song of Ice & Fire and Dune. I loved it. In fact, I'm expecting/hoping to see Mother Cousland again in undead form. God, that lady kicked some serious butt.
  18. How do you get that Lucky stone thingie?
  19. Things look quite normal compared to Divinity 2
  20. Urgh. That came a day too late.
  21. You need to be minimum level 15 and strongly to the light/dark side.
  22. So that's why Shepard gets a rocket launcher in ME 2. Because there are volcanic enemies that shoot rockets from their hands themselves. It's all a question of equilibrium.
  23. Just noticed the game is actually tracking everything... now everyone can see how much I suck.
  24. I've had a 5 minute loading time after the origin story ended. Then two minutes just to leave Ostragar. I think it's a memory leak problem. When I restarted the game from scratch, loading time was around 10 seconds. The game also uses an annoying depth of field which I can't seem to get rid of beyond toning down settings to medium. It causes juddering during conversations with my graphics card.
  25. Is there a recommended level for doing the Stone Prisoner quest? I finally got the DLC to download by manually starting an updater service using the command prompt...
