  1. Hey, at least it beats the Saerileth mod. I've no clue what you're talking about. "Saerileth is a 15-year-old human paladin of Tyr. She hails from Mount Celestia in the Outer Planes. She is young, romanceable (for good-aligned humans, elves, and half-elves), and beautiful. She is complete through ToB, and she has quests and a flirt/chatpack. She brings with her three new areas for SoA, two SoA quests, and a ToB quest. Saerileth is a young woman of deep religious conviction and certainty. She has extensive voicing, banters, and interjections. And Saerileth will love you like no other. We hope you will play her mod repeatedly." http://www.gilalion.com/saerilethmod.htm
  2. The first Drakensang had the following DRM: a missing quest NPC if the game was pirated, making it impossible to continue. The sequel, River of Time, uses something similar (making it possible to revive characters that fell in battle). It also caused pirates to flood the forum and whine about a buggy game, which was hilarious.
  3. Hey, at least it beats the Saerileth mod.
  4. Thats nothing compared to Belgium, bro. Belgium is ruled by the minority.
  5. 1. Argentina 2. Messi 3. Messi 4. Australia 5. Spain 6. Ronaldo
  6. There's an article about how games can't be interactive movies because they have free camera control (while mentioning Silent Hill 1-2), constant character freedom (=no cutscenes, while mentioning MGS 4), etc. Authored by David Cage?
  7. A level 30+ cleric's Turn Undead should kill a demi-lich on the spot. Even mighty Kangaxx gets owned by it. But Aerie Kaelyn probably will never get such a high level.
  8. I take it you didn't much appreciate Fallout 2?
  9. Wait... are you saying Alpha Protocol isn't an AAA title?!
  10. Why did she jam a revolver into her body? Looks painful.
  11. I agree with OP.
  12. The game will most probably be compared to Splinter Cell: Conviction a lot, including graphics. I think AP looks about as good as Splinter Cell: Double Agent, which is a 2006 game. Big deal.
  13. Maybe the game will have a more light-hearted tone if one picks solely James Bond style dialogue options, and feel more 'serious' if one sticks to Jason Bourne or Jack Bauer?
  14. I thought that first WoW pic was from Overlord instead.
  15. No matter what Bethesda would've concocted for FO3, it would never have been Fallout enough. *snicker*
  16. I've started playing Rise of the Argonauts and it's quite a fun game, for a console port. It likes to crash now and then and has problems with controls that like to reset themselves in the middle of combat, but overall I'm pleasantly surprised. I followed this game during its development a couple of years ago but somehow forgot about it. Though I wish the game wouldn't try so hard to be a RPG, when it's clearly an action game... combat is great fun but there's simply not enough of it. For every fight in the game there's probably 1 hour of talking... I finished a main quest hub that contained exactly six fights, and for the rest consisted of 2-3 hours of running around and listening to people speak. This game has more talking than Dragon Age. But the companions one picks up during the game are surprisingly well-written, and have some excellent banter & commentary as well. I'm liking them better than the ones from Dragon Age. Music is quite fantastic as well... and the story at least doesn't completely and utterly rape Greek mythology, unlike God of War. Only gripe is, as said above, some technical issues for which there doesn't appear to be a patch.
  17. It will not happen, but the EU should have the guts to admit it failed and retreat to its 1967 borders. And dump the Euro asap.
  18. The Last Starfighter was great, and had the best sci-fi villain of all time: Also, Masters of the Universe. Movie might have been cheese overall, but movie Skeletor was an amazing villain, perfectly acted as well, and blew away his moronic comic book counterpart. And then there's Dune... a movie that broke with some of the book lore quite significantly, but still managed to remain true to it - and happened to spawn one of my all-time favourite games. One might even consider Krull sci-fi.
  19. Kojak is the perfect Minsc.
  20. Looks even cornier than Risen's. Also, I thought the title was "Arcania: a Gothic tale"?
  21. It's a very repetitive game. There are hundreds of star systems, but each one has the same fetch, combat & transport missions you need to do to upgrade your ship. Main story is very predictable too, and the characters + voice acting pretty bland. I'd call it 'Oblivion in space'. Good to rent for a weekend and play it through once.
  22. Where's the game in Heavy Rain?
  23. Since you mentioned this, I can finally bring up Ghosts of Mars.
