1966 wasn't a goal. But apart from this, England has always been generally unlucky during big tournaments, losing with penalties against Germany a couple of times, then Argentina in 1998... I don't remember their mishaps in the past two world cups. Germany is now playing with a very young team, and their under-19 and under-17 teams already became world champions... their future is secured for a very long time. But England? They desperately need to start building a new, young team from scratch.

Also, great drama at the end of the first half, on par with the hand of God and finally revenge for 1966. I don't think the 2-2 would've mattered, the way the Engrish had been defending the entire game.

Whoever goes through is going to be easy pickings for Uruguay.

Some excellent drama at the end of Australia-Serbia. Could've been 3-1 or 2-2. I predict Serbian butts to be hurt for quite a while after this. USA has a good chance to progress to the quarterfinals.

Even European developers eventually have to buckle down and 'streamline' their games in order to be able to play with the big boys. Look at CD Projekt and how Witcher 2 is going, the previews for Two Worlds 2 (more 'action oriented') or Radon Labs that went out of business and subsequently got bought by a developer of online games. Exception is a dev like Larian studios, that also does other work outside of video game development.

I think since 1966 they've never failed to pass the group stage, no?
