  1. Solar flares? Pah, gimme the real deal: a gamma-ray burst.

I can barely even hear the English chanting because of the damn RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Should've been 6-1 or so for Argentina, if they weren't sleeping. England should win 2-0 or 3-0.

I weep for Ireland, who would have kicked the behinds of those Uruguayans. France just plain sucks. And on another note (pun intended):
  9. Installed DS2 + Broken World. I don't own LoA. No clue how this MP stuff works, though.

    Holy cow, vuvuzelas are annoying.
  11. No, the "lulz, I was actually an evil wizard in disguise". Worst Xanatos gambit ever.
  12. I'd be interested in DS 2 MP, but would have to reinstall. I used to have at least two level 85 DS 2 characters, before I had to format my computer.
  13. DS II was as much story-driven as Dragon Age: you had to save the world from an Ancient Evil in a Giant Fetch Quest, but there was a (ridiculously predictable) twist in the end. Characters were pretty fun as well, there was even some banter depending on party composition. So yeah, I can't see what's so surprising about this news.

I wonder which referee will ruin the World Cup this year. In 2002, there was , last WC Australia was scandalously robbed after an Italian dive. France shouldn't even be in this year's WC, after the handball against Ireland.

Anyone rooting for North Korea? I wish they were put in the same group as South Korea. Tomorrow is Engerland - USA & Nigeria - Argentina, could be interesting.
  16. Most RPGs give XP for killing monsters and solving quests. Not so with Elder Scrolls & DS, unless I'm remembering it wrong. A warrior can cast a level 1 nature spell many times, and become a better nature mage, etc.
  17. Didn't Divine Divinity came out in the same year as DS? That game struck the perfect balance between Diablo's combat system & Dungeon Siege free-form character advancement. Not to mention, fully interactive open-world.
  18. DS games don't even have a typical XP system, it's more a 'learn-by-doing' system like Elder Scrolls. XP is gained by casting spells, or hitting things with a sword or bow, IIRC. Only difference between DS1 & 2 was that DS 2 introduced powers with cooldowns.
  19. Why am I reminded of Morrowind?
  20. Creating an attractive female in FO3 didn't take that long for me. Try making a good looking Imperial chick in Oblivion. Nearly impossible. But as for males... the yokel-meter is even higher than in Dragon Age.
  21. Since this game takes place at the end of the WWW period (~1900?), are there any automobiles seen in the game? Is it possible to scoot around in a Ford-T?

They actually came very close to Damascus in the Yom Qippur war. Would've solved a lot of problems if they had continued... it's pretty similar to G.W. Bush bailing out from attacking Baghdad in '91.

If anything, Israel has more support now than then. They pretty much defeated the entire Arab world on their own in '67. Imo, best thing to happen for peace right now is for Israel to invade and capture half of Syria and make it the new Palestine.
