  1. Remake Day of the Jackal and let the Jackal actually manage to pop the head of the President. Remake Saving Private Ryan, but instead of focusing on American heroics, focus on the British exploits starring the crew of Dad's Army.
  2. I'd like a demo of this game.
  3. Will this game even be a RPG? The 1999 WOT game was a great action game, almost a shooter. Maybe this game will be its sequel?
  4. I finished Rise of the Argonauts (whose ending was a lame 10 second cutscene after another frustrating ending battle due to flip-flopping controls) and moved on to another hack 'n slash, Demon Stone. It's a pretty fun game, but there are a few major gripes I'm having with it. There are three characters in the game one can control (fighter, wizard & rogue), but their AI is generally abysmal. Especially the wizard is moronic - he performs well at ranged, but as soon as one controls another character he immediately charges into melee, getting his behind handed to him. So basically one finds oneself switching characters every 10 seconds, to prevent them from screwing up. But somehow this is not so bad, in an unintended way it manages to capture the frenzy of melee combat. In a nutshell, it is Dragon Age on speed & without a pause button. What really irks me though, is several sections in the game where one needs to defend the squishy wizard opening a portal or whatever, while endless hordes of enemies attack... or timed sections where one needs to take out a boss while infinite enemies spawn around the place. But a big plus in the game is the stealth gameplay, which is incredibly fun. Not to mention, the game probably has the best dragon fight of all time. The game's story was apparently written by R.A. Salvatore, but is completely forgettable, almost non-existant... which is a shame since the characters have interesting backgrounds that are only minimally explored. Not to mention the game uses many interesting locations in Faerun, but does nothing with it save spawning hundreds of enemies that need to be slaughtered. The game flies by at break-neck speed, even for someone who isn't actually world champion in twitchy action games as myself.
  5. Ferdinand Demara
  6. Behemoth + 175 bottlecap mines Epic
  7. The last dungeon crawler Fargo churned out was only playable because of the great voice acting, humour & charisma of the main protagonist, which this Demon Forge thingie seems to completely lack. Add a Dwarf as comic relief to the current bland duo and I might start to become interested.
  8. Will the game be actually based on the books, or just use the setting?
  9. That screenie reminds me of Mont Saint-Michel.
  10. Good idea. Someone should start photoshopping from here. Clipping errors ftw.
  11. Look out for this one that is finally internationally released (German devs are absolute **** at international marketing, it seems): Best adventure game I played since Syberia, a mix of The longest journey & Monkey Island. Quite brilliant.
  12. Only fun thing about Portal is putting two portals directly above each other and stepping through.
  13. I've been stuck in Room #457 for years.
  14. Radon Labs made insolvent: http://www.buffed.de/buffed/news/14938/Rad...et-Insolvenz-an FFFFUUUUUUUUUU
  15. Are you playing with Ascension? The ending fight of SoA is pretty hilarious then. "Give me back my Cloak of Cheese!"
  16. Tali is basically a walking Codex entry. I bet nobody even talks to her anymore after finishing the game once (of course, that is probably true for all companions).
  17. Is it possible to run older games (pre 2000, like Baldur's Gate) on this operating system?
  18. Apparently there was an ROTC student who got suspended for removing a Mexican flag which was flying above the American flag, which is a violation of protocol. I heard that on the radio but couldn't find the story to link to. Suspended because he didn't just burn the flag?
  19. I think the way things are evolving, or rather devolving, the entirety of Western Europe will eventually turn into Lebanon during the 80s.
  20. Argentina had a **** team in '86, but one star player. Even in '90 they still reached the finals, where they were cheated. History might just repeat itself.
  21. There's one thing for sure: this would not have happened in Texas.
  22. In the Netherlands, Theo van Gogh was brutally murdered on the street. The Danish cartoonist was nearly murdered after a muslim broke into his house, but he could lock himself and his family into the bathroom. Recently, Belgium has had our own incident when a speaker in the university of Antwerp was disrupted by a nice group called "Sharia4Belgium": Basically for muslims freedom of speech only counts when it can be (ab)used to spread their 'religion of peace'. But strictly speaking, as long as islam remains locked in their medieval viewpoint, there is nothing in western culture that isn't an insult to them.
  23. You're aware that Hindu/Sikh violence has been widespread in India? I had thought it was rather Hindu/Muslim in India. But I was speaking about Hinduists in Western Europe.
