  1. Apparently that particular scene would be in the game if Morrigan & a female PC were friends. It seems odd to me... almost another case of a character suddenly acting differently to how (s)he was developed the entire game... like with Alistair after a certain decision during the Landsmeet.
  2. ME3 will probably end with Shepard introducing a virus into the Reapers from an iMac, making them all crashing down into the nearest Wolf-Rayet star.
  3. Will the companions die during the Joining if you didn't complete their loyalty mission?
  4. More news from the official forum (Lar_q is Swen Vincke, owner of Larian Studios):
  5. Would it be possible to somehow engineer the game so that Shepard comes out of the suicide mission as sole survivor?
  6. After the abomination that was KQ8, why hasn't it occurred to anyone that Activision may have done a service to humanity?
  7. After killing a boss my level 4/5 party thought they could immediately enter a temple in Drakensang: the River of Time and now they're getting raped by groups of 6 or 8 giant crabs (for those that might not have played Drakensang 1, these monsters are hellish to fight even one on one with their wounding attacks). Also, unlike a certain highly acclaimed AAA rpg the enemy AI usually targets the weakest link in the party, so it doesn't help when the lithe Elven ranger chick has to fight off 4 heavily armoured monstrosities with a puny dagger. Anyways, great fun.
  8. They'd only change if there were any significant competition around that forced them to change... but there isn't. Same goes for Bethesda & Blizzard. They're the Microsofts of video game development, as it were. The CD Projekts, Piranha Bytes, Radon Labs, etc. -> Linux, Apple, etc.
  9. Sex aside, that model would apply to 95% of RPGs. NWN 2 perfectly fits the mold, even. R00fles!
  10. Morrigan crying? That was unexpected.
  11. First time through I also got killed a couple of times during the shutters part... because I thought I had to hurry or Garrus' health bar would be too far depleted. But of course, it simply gets refilled once all shutters are closed. Next-gen health regeneration, and all that good stuff.
  12. Only with Mr Sandman perk you can kill unnoticed.
  13. It might be possible by editing the configuration xml file under C:\Users\ %username% \AppData\Local\Divinity 2\Profile in Vista or C:\Documents and Settings\ %username% \Local Settings\Application Data\Divinity 2\Profile in xp.
  14. Knock down them thugs using Aard, and Vesna will one-shot them with her puny dagger. Always amusing.
  15. Drakensang: am Fluss der Zeit
  16. I felt as soon as one got the Battle Tower, the game went downhill pretty fast. Too much endless combat, too few witty dialogue & quirky humour.
  17. As a soldier I used the second tier sniper rifle a lot, but the Vindicator battle rifle is just as good. But nothing really compares with the Revenant machine gun. Combine it with the appropriate ammo power & at medium range any enemy gets vaporized in full automatic mode.
  18. For the two or three people that might be interested: an expansion pack for Divinity 2 is coming, named "Flames of Vengeance" (and has been confirmed on the official forum). Link (in Russian) It seems the cheesy ending will be fixed after all.
  19. You reminded me of how I always wished to kill the Chantry hag that spouted "Magic exists only to serve man, not to rule over him" each time I passed by the Chantry in Denerim.
  20. Qunari seem a combination of Fremen with their philosophy, and Seanchans with their attitude towards magick. And they have cannons. Can't forget about the cannons.
  21. Baldur's Gate. Low-level campaigns are soooo much better than all the epic level cheese. I had forgotten about the area with the basilisks and wondered wtf was going on when I noticed my party members' portraits suddenly went disappearing one by one. Good times.
  22. I had previously hoped on a story for DA2 involving a war between the Black Chantry of Tevinter (blood magic FTW) & the White Chantry of Orlais, but this doesn't seem really possible. A war between two nations of Thedas would just be an invitation for the Qunari to attack them in their weakened state. For the same, the Qunari aren't really in a position to break the status quo, since that would just unite the major powers of Thedas and they'd might even lose the islands they had conquered x years before the game. Unless of course a major Qunari force would arrive from their home continent overseas...
  23. Do yourself a favor and play with a lady. They don't look fugly, don't run like somebody pushed a stick up their arse & their giggle after wasting enemies is even sexier than Leliana's.
