  1. Some BP fatcats must've had the morbid desire to make the Guiness Book of Records for 'largest natural disaster'.

  3. Maybe Stalin forgot to read the little letters.
  4. Did you find Syberia 2 as much of a disappointment as I did? It was okay while I was playing it, but it lacked the spirit of the first and the ending was, in its own way, even less satisfying that Syberia's. Imo Syberia can easily stand on its own the way it is, without the sequel. The ending is beautiful and keeps up the mystery of the game. I find Syberia 2 is worse mainly because Kate no longer changes throughout the journey the way she does in the first game... and Hans Voralberg turns out to be a pretty disappointing character. It could've been more interesting if something was actually done with the subplot concerning the private detective that is sent after Kate, instead of the few boring cutscenes. That said, though, Syberia 2 has more creative puzzles, and the landscapes are breathtaking. Supposedly there're plans to make a Syberia 3... let's see how that goes.
  5. Use Attack of the Clones in your example instead of some extremely low-budget movie and it might work.
  6. I just realized I missed a chance at sarcasm by posting Duke instead of Master Chief.
  7. "Three distinct story paths" mentioned by the preview sounds promising. Either focus on delving into Geralt's past, political intrigue or taking down the "assassins of kings" (e.g. the fat man & his Elven pretty boy). Still, I'll believe it when I see it. The last game with three different story paths must have been Indiana Jones & the Fate of Atlantis.
  8. Hype-o-meter rising.
  9. I haven't really been given this game attention, but I liked what I saw in that video. Seems like Gothic 3: Enhanced Edition.
  10. Note that Safiya's intelligence is 19. Required intelligence to cast is always 10 + spell level.
  11. Commander Shepard = Commander Riker. All aliens he 'romanced' were made to look as human as possible.
  12. Do yourself a favour and get the EE, which allows the game to be played with Polish voice-over & English subtitles. English voice-over of the Witcher is crap.
  13. A RPG sequel to Call of Cthulhu: Dark corners of the Earth by Obsidian would be pretty sweet.
  14. Mediocre writing = mediocre localization.
  15. Maybe then Obsidian could work on a sequel to Rogue Warrior...
  16. Pretty much, yeh. Seeing them live once killed the band for me, unfortunately.

  18. On one hand the radical Islam wishes to live strictly according to the Qu'ran and introduce the sharia, hence outlawing music, sports, cellphones, television and treating women & girls like dirt... yet on the other hand they also feel the need to spout their drivel on the internet. Does not really compute.
  19. I'd save Nordmar for last. It's the most difficult area, even at high levels. Varant has some interesting dungeon crawling and even a couple of quests involving... women.

  21. Subscribing to Bin Laden's Facebook might do it.
  22. There's another Slovakian RPG called Neverend that didn't make it to the Codex's list. Again featuring turn-based combat & a hawt chick. And it's great that they listed Summoner. Darn fine RPG.
