  1. Mortal Kombat will always remain the best video game movie. The recent Prince of Persia movie wasn't half-bad, but had absolutely nothing to do with the game. Same goes for that Dungeon Siege vehicle. Rule of thumb for video game adaptations: if you can't fit in Jason Statham as protagonist, don't even bother making it.
  2. European reviewers sometimes like to trash overseas titles from big name companies, while North American reviewers generally trash European titles. It's tradition. That said, I didn't like what I read about pistols & stealth, since I was planning to specialize in those skills. I'll see for myself tomorrow when I acquire the game.
  3. For those that are playing the game: is it truly possible to go through the game without any combat skills whatsoever? I.e. a pure hacking + stealth + lockpicking build?
  4. Don't worry, Gamespot & IGN are sure to fap all over it. I can't wait for the Eurogamer review.
  5. I thought the parallel universe stories were pretty ridiculous. And the entire final season was pretty messed up, with all the metaphysical hoopnanny. But for the rest, it's way better than VOyager or Enterprise.
  6. At least 24 doesn't end with any of this metaphysical claptrap. But that doesn't mean it sucks any less.
  7. Tvtropes must've had a field day after the LOST ending.
  8. Georgia would invade South Ossetia. Anyway, you gotta hand it to totalitarian states - they do have some amazing propaganda artwork.
  9. Last stealth game I played was NOLF 2, so that's what I'll be comparing the game against. Can I expect to eavesdrop on quirky enemy conversations, and the necessity to distract enemies with the toss of a coin? Not to mention, escape from the pursuit of relentless enemies by the drop of a banana peel?
  10. As soon as the reviewers receive their cheque.
  11. Ladykiller achievement unlocked.
  12. Maybe they didn't incite the war, but the Reagon administration was petty enough to support Saddam in his mad war, perhaps as revenge for the US humiliation at the Teheran embassy hostage crisis at the end of the 80s.
  13. EU should never have expanded beyond the Benelux. :brofist:
  14. This bug in ME2 happened quite a few times to me, and each time forced me to alt-tab out of the game and restart. So it could potentially be game breaking, depending on how frequent it is. It's definitely annoying, for someone as myself who often forgets to quicksave every two minutes.
  15. ME2 must have the shortest end boss in any game, ever. "Oh lookie, a huge human head" *fires nuke* ... "Oh..."
  16. Finished Baldur's Gate 2. Final battle is very easy with Aerie & plenty of Wish scrolls. Now, I might play some other old skool hack 'n slash.
  17. Lulz. Freddie Prinze Jr was the worst choice for Christopher Blair ever. Other than that, the movie was okay. But admittedly, if there'd ever be a KOTOR or DA movie made (*vehemently knocks wood*), this dude would be perfect as Carth/Alistair.
  18. That article is a great trolling attempt. And I want to play Bayonetta now.
  19. Cast Jason Statham (the thinking man's Vin Diesel) as Shepard, and I might actually become interested.
  20. Ubisoft would already have become the new Iron Lore, without their huge sales on console. I wouldn't be surprised to see them stop developing for PC altogether - but hopefully not before BG&E 2.
