  1. So it's Nyarlathotep?
  2. Note that a helicopter crashed also during the Bin Laden assault. Must be an American thing.
  3. Nope, but plenty of sporty ass I never asked for this
  4. I always chuckle when I see one of those diplomatic "No offense, followed by offense" statements.
  5. Is there a name for the trope where two guys fight over the same girl and the girl goes for the (usually hurt) loser?
  6. She likely didn't mention that in the classic Karateka, you would get killed by the damsel in distress in the end if you approached her in combat stance. Not to mention in Double Dragon it's two guys going after the damsel in distress. Though I usually sucked that much in the game that I always died before the final boss and the girl ended up with only one guy. Too sexist, I guess.
  7. So they're gonna show boobies?
  8. All in all, much ado about nothing.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=x55yCeBie2s
  10. That must be one hell of a severance package.
  11. The 2008 Prince of Persia game had QTE combat and it was aggravating without a controller. At least it was impossible to die in that game.
  12. As much as I like the hoary old Tomb Raiders, I wouldn't want to replay any of them. They had terrible controls and gameplay - and Core Design never developed the gameplay either, it's no wonder they could push out a game every year. By 1999/2000 there was still no Tomb Raider game with mouse control for Lara (even Angel of Darkness which came out in 2003 had none). Competitors like Drakan, Heavy Metal FAKK2, American McGee's Alice, Rune all played astronomically better. Crystal Dynamics' games are at least fun to play.
  13. Mentioning you hate EA and first day DLC always helps.
  14. Just because a character is a damsel in distress, doesn't mean the character needs to be passive like Princess Peach. or Princess Daphne. Princess Zelda and the Princess from Mechner's Prince of Persia games both still helped out the main character in their own way.
  15. I wonder whether RUssia has any funny propaganda music like Serbia used to. Treat us, obyknven. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Y4s23eYoJs
  16. Finished Sleeping Hogs. I went into it with quite low expectations, but it turned out a pretty decent sandbox game after all. Not quite up to Yakuza standards (yet), but it's the next best thing.
  17. It's easy to be "confident in your sexuality" like Isabella when you have a friend who cures all your STDs for free.
  18. Have the three that voted 'no' been keelhauled yet?
  19. New Lara acts frightened and vulnerable in cutscenes, yet in actual gameplay acts as a FemRambo who mows down hordes of mooks. They should either have focused gameplay more on stealth and/or drastically tone down the violence and focus more on the core of the series: exploring huge tombs and solving puzzles. But new Lara is still better than the Lara fraught with mommy and daddy issues from the previous Crystal Dynamics games.
  20. This whole cafuffle is quite ironic in the end, when one considers the United States was born from discontent over British taxes.
  21. All that bullying ensured that she received enough attention to get funded, while in the meantime Warlord Gromug got left behind. http://http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/tropes-vs-da-orkz-in-vidya-gamez?website_name=waaaaaaaaaaaaagh
  22. You mean like introducing Emma Stone's character, then seemingly dropping her and never hearing from her again after your date? :D Yes, all the girlfriends in Sleeping Dogs are woefully underutilized and underdeveloped. I can live with them having the others drop in for a cup of coffee and never be heard from again, but I wanted more Not Ping in my life. She did get a small part in the Nightmare in North Point DLC (as mentioned, the story DLCs are fun, but really short), but that's still not nearly enough Not Ping for my tastes. I wish there were a date with Inspector Teng.
