  1. Maybe it's time for another Kickstarter.
  2. They had to go prequel since after HoMM V the world is destroyed at the end of Dark Messiah (canon ending, although there was also a lame goodie two shoes ending).
  3. New turn-based Dark Eye arrpeegee: http://riotpixels.com/blackguards-a-new-rpg-tbs-hybrid-from-daedalic-revealed-here-is-the-exclusive-q-a/
  4. If the big publishers are actually going to publish old-skool games again, Fargo will have to find another quip for his Kickstarter hype videos.
  5. Never heard of Limbic. They should have gotten Nival interactive on board again, or any of the many other Russian devs that still dish out turn-based shovelware.
  6. So it's Nyarlathotep?
  7. Note that a helicopter crashed also during the Bin Laden assault. Must be an American thing.
  8. Nope, but plenty of sporty ass I never asked for this
  9. I always chuckle when I see one of those diplomatic "No offense, followed by offense" statements.
  10. Is there a name for the trope where two guys fight over the same girl and the girl goes for the (usually hurt) loser?
  11. She likely didn't mention that in the classic Karateka, you would get killed by the damsel in distress in the end if you approached her in combat stance. Not to mention in Double Dragon it's two guys going after the damsel in distress. Though I usually sucked that much in the game that I always died before the final boss and the girl ended up with only one guy. Too sexist, I guess.
  12. So they're gonna show boobies?
  13. All in all, much ado about nothing.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=x55yCeBie2s
  15. That must be one hell of a severance package.
  16. The 2008 Prince of Persia game had QTE combat and it was aggravating without a controller. At least it was impossible to die in that game.
  17. As much as I like the hoary old Tomb Raiders, I wouldn't want to replay any of them. They had terrible controls and gameplay - and Core Design never developed the gameplay either, it's no wonder they could push out a game every year. By 1999/2000 there was still no Tomb Raider game with mouse control for Lara (even Angel of Darkness which came out in 2003 had none). Competitors like Drakan, Heavy Metal FAKK2, American McGee's Alice, Rune all played astronomically better. Crystal Dynamics' games are at least fun to play.
  18. Mentioning you hate EA and first day DLC always helps.
  19. Just because a character is a damsel in distress, doesn't mean the character needs to be passive like Princess Peach. or Princess Daphne. Princess Zelda and the Princess from Mechner's Prince of Persia games both still helped out the main character in their own way.
  20. I wonder whether RUssia has any funny propaganda music like Serbia used to. Treat us, obyknven. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Y4s23eYoJs
  21. Finished Sleeping Hogs. I went into it with quite low expectations, but it turned out a pretty decent sandbox game after all. Not quite up to Yakuza standards (yet), but it's the next best thing.
  22. It's easy to be "confident in your sexuality" like Isabella when you have a friend who cures all your STDs for free.
